When; Afternoon, September 25th. Right after Luffy, Greed, and Chouji eat up Bridget's ice cream.
Rating; G, for now. Probably won't go up. :3
Characters; Luffy [really_stretchy], Greed [so_very_greedy], Chouji [heavierthanlife] AND anyone who wants to bump in.
Summary; Being the gluttons that they are, Greed, Luffy, and Chouji are sent to buy more ice cream that they selfishly guzzled down.

He didn't want to do this at all.

The young pirate captain was frowning, and frowning hard. His cheeks were puffed up and his lips puckered out as his hands comfortably nestled behind the nape of his neck. Walking alongside his partners in crime, it didn't take very long for Luffy realize that he had other places he'd rather be. For one, he had a few new crew members that he'd very much like to get to know and sing with and there was the introducing that had to be done as well.

But such was the life of a pirate of the Grand Line.

"Na." He called attention to the two next to him and immediately stopped in his tracks. For a moment he just seemed to stare at them until he finally felt the need to just say it.

"I don't want to buy the ice cream anymore."

Chouji was following far enough behind the two other ice cream lovers, that he was hoping he be able to sneak out and back to his apartment before the other two had noticed he was missing. Shizune was surely not going to be happy about him going out (after he had told her he would stay in), and his bbq was still being prepared back at his place. Left unattended, it would be ruined... and he'd lose face before both Shizune and Kabuto.

But his plans went to moot as soon as the stretchy kid turned around.

"W-what do you mean, you don't want to? We have to. We said we would, and..."

His voice trailed off. His precious BBQ was the only thing he could think ok.

"But you know--"

Luffy's voice had trailed off mid-sentence as he lifted his chin up to the sky. His eyebrows slanted upward as the edges of his lips trailed lower upon his face. The sun was out and it was shining as freely as it could what with no cloud in sight.

"It's a really nice day today.."

Then almost immediately, a smile sprang on his face as he turned halfway around to face the younger of his two partners.

"HEY! We should go fishing!"

"Eh?" Greed piped up, "Fishin'? Why the hell would we do that?"

He cracked his neck and looked around.

"We need some ribs! Steaks! Fish! Something that was a critter once!"

"That's why we should go fishing!"

It didn't take long for him to hop forward infront of the two, their original goal cast out to the wind. With his appetite pleading to be quenced once again, he pointed a finger to a random point in the horizon.

"C'mon!! We can eat all the fish we catch then put it over this really BIG fire!!" His grin could've well slid off his face at the rate it was growing. "Let's go!"

"Let's go!" Chouji threw his fist into the air triumphantly, blissfully unaware of the Bridget's plea.

"I dont think I've been fishing before... is it easy?"

He didnt care, though. He was gonna eat.

"I WANT SOMETHING WITH STRONGER MEAT!" Greed yelled.

He pointed elsewhere.

"We're out here for ice cream, dope!"

Idea rejected, Luffy made a face--one full of irritation. The other boy, who's name he hadn't learned yet, had complied to his idea and having been the captain of a ship, he wasn't too pleased with Greed's outburst.

Looking again to the younger boy then back to the other, the captain knotted his brow and puffed a few breaths through his nostrils.

"But we both want to fish! It's two against one!"

"I'm OLDER, so my opinion counts more!"

"NOT FISH, MEAT AND ICE CREAM!"

"Says who?"

Chouji grimaced. He wasn't changing his mind any more. He was hungry, and he didnt care what they got,a s long as they got it soon.

"I'm with... ermm... what's your name?"

"That doesn't mean anything!" He'd yelled alongside of his new companion.

Luffy knew fully well that being older didn't neccessarily mean that you were all the wiser and this came from experience. Though he never really voiced his opinion, he never really thought he had to; most of these things, he thought, were absolutely common sense.

"Ah?" The younger was talking to him, right? The straw-hat smiled and closed his eyes as he grinned. "I'm Luffy! Nice to meet you!"

"Greed, tubby!"

"BULLSHIT! Two hundred years seniority!"

Greed was becoming upset with this upstart. How dare he question the great Greed?

"Bridget wanted ice cream and I want meat! We'll get fish if we have time afterward!"

"I'm Chouji! Nice to meet you too!"

Chouji grinned broadly. He'd made so many new friends today... but that wasnt really what he wanted now.

"Show me how to fish?"

...yup. Greed was being ignored.

Chouji's eyebrow twitched. That was the magic word, and Chouji wasnt too pleased to hear it.

"What did you call me?!"

"T-U-B-B-Y, TUBBY!"

If Greed was being ignored, then Luffy wouldn't be left out of it. He hardly knew Bridget and even though it was pretty unfortunate for him to have run out of ice cream, it wasn't entirely their fault, right?

So it was their fault, but ice cream could always be bought!

"Ah? You don't know how to fish?" Puzzled, Luffy shifted one hand behind his head and a pinky up his nose. "It's really easy! I'll show you when we get there!"

That was it. More than anything, anything at all, Chouji detested that word.

"I'm not TUBBY! I'm big-BONED!"

And with that and a few quick seals, Chouji pulled his arms, legs, and head in... and spun. Fast. Right at Greed.

Greed couldn't finish his surprised statement, as he was soon run down by a massive, rolling ninja.

"Ah!" he yelled, getting up, "Fighting dirty, eh?! I can do that!"

He cracked his knuckles and waited for the next pass.

The giant ball of ninja skidded to a halt, and quickly turned around, carreening at the offending man.

"Take it back!"

Luffy was already well on his way towards building eight by the time they were a good few minutes into the fight. And as much as the pirate loved a good fight, he didn't find this one very interesting.

The keyword for today was 'food', afterall.

"I'm going ahead! See ya!!"

Greed flopped onto his back and pressed his legs up under the ball, to deflect it upward.

"You want to go, kid? Fine, we'll go!"

Chouji wasn't expecting to be propelled so high into the air... in fact, the last time something like that had happened... it was Jiroubou.

He shook the thought, and came out of the ball. At the apex of the jump, Chouji again threw some quick hand seals, and shouted...

"CHOU BAIKA NO JUTSU!"

And down, down, down came a colossal chubby pleasingly plump ninja.

Greed shielded just before the impact smashed him into the ground. He struggled under the bulk of the king-sized ninja.

"Mph rmmmm mrr! (This means war!)"

He curled his limbs in and shoved upwards with all his strength.

The force was enough, and Chouji was thrusted right off of Greed. Chouji rolled with the blow, shrinking back down to his normal size, and stared at his opponent.

He was different. Bad different.

"Why do I always end up fighting with ninjas?!" he grumbled, switching off his shield.

"Why the hell do you guys always find fault with me?!"

"You called me fat."

"...sorry."

Chouji entended his hand in true apology.

Greed shook his hand fitfully.

"Now that we have that settled..."

Casually, Luffy found his way back to the fighting duo with a little something extra in his mouth--two big fish, fried to perfection over a fire.

"Ah! You guysh are donme?"

A rather disappointed look rolled over Chouji's face. He hadn't learned how to fish... but maybe he could still have some of Luffy's?

"D-do you have any more of those, Luffy?"

"Dtish shtuff? Oh!"

As Luffy tried to carry on the conversation, the ends of the sticks that the fish were fried on fluctuacted back and forth, up and down. At first it didn't look as if the boy had any more meat or fish on him, but looks could be deceiving.

In his pockets, the pirate had managed to squeeze two whole legs of a cooked meat similar to the ones Sanji used to prepare for him before.

"Dyou wanth dtish one?"

"Y-yes! I'm starved!"

Chouji happily took one of the legs of meat, sitting down where he stood to begin eating it.

"Sho," he began between mouthfuls of meat, "Dyou thick Bridg't mizzes hish ishe creab?"

Chouji, who had been such a worthy adversary in the fight over food, was now considered a good snacking partner.

"Bridgith?" Even though his mouth was already quite full, Luffy managed to take a bite out of the spare leg (though ideally, it should've been for Greed) and continued. "Mebbehshe alhredthy forbbot abosht esht!"

Chouji wiped his mouth, smiled, and took another far too large bite. This had been a very good day for making friends so far.

"Jyeah! Den webe cab fisht ald dey!"

Clenching his fists in utter excitement, Luffy leaned in, food particles flying out of his mouth. While this was quite the norm on his ship, it was far from sanitary elsewhere.

"Ifh bwe fisht dta resh ofh dta daysh, BWE CANH GETH MORSH FISHT!"

Chouji's eyes grew open wide, as he joined in on Luffy's excitement.

"MORSH FISHT! Ah cen schow jyou hows Ah b-b-q dem!"

"BE BE KYU?!"

It took a long and hard swallow to be able to swallow the humungous morsels in his mouth, but with a rubber throat, Luffy made easy work of them.

"R-REALLY?! LET'S GO GET SOME NOW!"

"YEAH!"

And with that, Chouji swallowed down the last of the disproportionately huge piece of meat, clenched his fists, and shot into the air.

"BBQ! Let's go!"
