Summary; Touya explains why he was involved in the ritual
Log; Touya had noticed the cool way Yamino had been treating him ever since the ritual, and couldn't blame his roommate for it. Touya had dealt with the silence as best he could, giving Yamino space, choosing not to have meals with the other and going out or staying in his room the rest of the time.

But the silence was starting to bother the shinobi, he wouldn't admit it, but Yamino's cheerful manner was nice to be around, especially since he missed his own world so much. Without his usual shinobi companions things had been very lonely until he'd decided to let Yamino stay with him.

So, partly out of a selfish need to maybe have Yamino forgive him, he'd instead of hiding in his room, had stayed out in the living room, waiting for his roommate to appear so he could explain himself.

Yamino entered the apartment, groceries tucked in the crook of one arm. He made sure to lock the door before wandering into the kitchen and settling down the bag. In the corner of his eye, he could see Touya in the living room, watching him.

"Do you need something, Touya-san?" the bespectacled man asked, not turning to face his roommate. He began unpacking the groceries.

He was in the middle of putting the apples in the fruit bowl but stopped abruptly at Touya's words. An explanation? What explanation was good enough to justify his actions?

After a few beats, he continued with what he was doing, still not turned around.

"I'm listening."

Yamino turned around to face the shinobi, jaws set and arms crossed stiffly. Nevermind the groceries; this was far more important.

"Is that it?" He didn't know if he should have expected such a reason. "Do you think you're the only one angry at the City?"

Yamino's expression softened ever so slightly. He knew exactly what Touya was talking about: He was also bitter that the City had isolated him from his family and that he was alone. Many of the friends he'd made were leaving, too. It was depressing and insane. But violence did not or ever will solve anything.

"Do you have family in your world, Touya-san? Because I do in mine. I have a father and a brother and a sister, and then there's our human friend and the other gods and--and I'm angry too, and terrified. I want so much to see them again." Yamino took a deep breath to calm his growing rage. "But that anger and that fear never gave me the right to hurt--to kill--innocent people. And they never gave you the right either!"

He paused, then added in a quieter tone, "Don't be tempted by a stranger's words."
