Log; Ongoing
When; October 21
Rating; PG-13
Characters; Yazoo, Kadaj, and Anyone who wants to approach them and the forest.
Summary; The brothers are bored, and decide to go check out the forest.
Log;
As he came to a stop just outside the edge of the forest and looked around, an almost bored expression crossing his features, Yazoo sighed softly in disappointment and crossed his arms loosely over his chest. “I thought this place was supposed to be scary and dangerous,” he said with a flat, dissatisfied tone, tilting his head to the side with a raised eyebrow.
Trees towered above them all around for as far as the eye could see, their trunks varying greatly in size. Various different types of shrubs and small leafless trees littered the ground, and in some places the undergrowth was so thick, Yazoo wondered if it was even possible to pass through it.
From his current spot, the remnant didn’t see any of strange creatures that everyone had been warning others about, but that didn’t stop him from reaching inside his coat and grasping the handles of his twin daggers strapped to his thighs, choosing to use them instead of his gun so he wouldn't waste his bullets.* Unsheathing them, one in each hand, Yazoo idly twirled them in his hands a few times before stilling his hands.
“This trip better be worth it. I’m growing bored.” He took a few steps forward into the forest before he stopped and glanced at Kadaj over his shoulder, motioning in front of him. “Shall we?”
[[OOC Note: *I sometimes like to RP Yazoo as having not only his Velvet Nightmare but also twin daggers that he uses in hand-to-hand combat.]]

She sighed, standing back and putting her hands to her hips. At first, she fleetingly glared at the panda, and then her expression went soft, with her lips curling into a smile.
"Now be good and give me my cap. I need it. You do understand, don't you? ... am I allowed to come get it?"
Invitingly she stretched out an arm, a hand.
She didn't hear the noise nearby.

As he trudged through the undergrowth, he began to become more and more disappointed with this little trip. He still had yet to spot any of the so-called dangerous creatures he had heard about, and was just about to give up and turn around when a nearby sound caught his attention.
Curiously, he followed the noise, hoping to finally stumble upon something interesting, and realized that the noise he was hearing was actually a girl’s voice.
Once she came into view, Yazoo walked closer to her to see who she was talking, and raised an eyebrow almost in disbelief when he saw that she wasn’t talking to someone, but something. He chuckled when he figured out just why she was talking to the animal, and loosely crossed his arms over his chest, leaning against a nearby tree.
“I don’t think getting your hat back is going to be that easy,” he smirked. “From the looks of it, that thing’s not about to let it go.”

Now she wouldn't be able to concentrate on trying to reach the large animal telepathically - her senses had been dimmed so much in this city, it was so very frustrating!
Though admittedly, she had other problems now. The stranger might as well be her own enemy.
"Who is it that are you here to fight?"

“Who is it that you are here to fight?”
“Hm? Oh, I’m not here to fight anyone particular,” he answered nonchalantly, watching the panda in amusement as it continued to chew on the girl’s hat. “My brother and I just grew bored and decided to come here and check out the forest, but so far, it’s been a big disappointment, except for your friend there," Yazoo motioned toward the panda with another smirk.
"I'll have to thank him for the small bit of entertainment later when he's not otherwise occupied."

"And by that you mean?" Having posed her question, she took notice of something else he had said, which was completely mysterious to her.
"Ah, bored, you say? I'm afraid I don't understand you at all. Just looking at all this splendour is wonderful~!" Exclaimed Nausicaa, looking up toward the tree's crowns, arching her back and then closing her eyes to take a deep breath of this air that was so fragrant with life.
But suddenly, she lowered her head, thinking of back home. "Then again... I don't suppose you come from a world where the only way to go through a forest is with a breathing mask and heavy protective clothing."

“And by that you mean?”
“That watching you trying to get your hat back from that animal,” he motioned toward the panda, “is somewhat amusing.”
He raised an eyebrow at her next exclamation and actions that followed, looking around at their current surroundings as if trying to spot the reason why she had just called this place a luxury. Yazoo wouldn’t deny that the surrounding scenery was nice, and that he was actually quite comfortable out here, away from the city, but he liked a roof over his head and a soft bed to sleep on every once in a while.
Yazoo shot her a weird glance at her next words, simply shaking his head no, before he looked toward the panda, smirking when he saw that it still had her hat. “So, what’s so special about that cap that you just have to have it back, anyway?”

"The situation amuses me as well." She laughed quietly. His next question did catch her off guard, though, and for a moment a blank look covered her face. She recovered quickly, though, thinking about her answer. After all, she was perfectly capable of sewing herself a new pilot's cap... not that it looked like she'd get to pilot anytime soon around here; and the thought saddened her slightly. She already missed flying.
"Well, it is my pilot's cap, though I could, of course, always make a new one."
Then a thought entered her mind, and she added: "But I'm trying to establish some kind of communication with the forest's inhabitants. I'd really love to leave alongside them in a peaceful manner."
Once again, she smiled, then turned toward the panda again - to find herself confronted with a stare so intense as she had rarely seen it, and a nagging feeling that she was to become a meal if she didn't get to serious work soon rose in her stomach.
Nausicaa secured her composure, standing firmly on both legs on the forest ground.
"Please excuse me for a little while. I need to concentrate."
She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and calmed herself in order to gain full awareness of the world surrounding her.

Yazoo, who had been looking around at nothing in particular, snapped back to attention when he heard the word ‘pilot,’ which reminded him of one Cloud’s little friends. A small frown appeared on his lips when he thought about his traitorous brother, but it was immediately replaced with a small amused grin when his acquaintance mentioned that she was trying to commune with the animals.
He raised an eyebrow when she turned her back on him, but Yazoo figured it would be best if he just didn’t ask what was going on, and merely shook his head.
“Please excuse me for a little while. I need to concentrate.”
“Well, good luck,” the remnant mumbled under his breath, straightening up and reaching for his daggers. “Me? I’ve got a little brother to find.” He pulled his weapons out of their sheaths and twirled them before giving the girl a small salute, then started heading towards the forest.
He stopped for a second before he got too far away and glanced quickly over his shoulder. “By the way, the name’s Yazoo,” he told her, then strolled into the surrounding dense foliage.

Nausicaa found herself caught off guard, and bewilderedly snapped to attention, opening her eyes and turning halfway around, an uncertain look on her face. Just in time to watch the stranger go away.
"... mine's Nausicaa", she called after him, none too loudly. She watched him for a few moments more, noticing metal reflecting the few sunrays that came down here - he had drawn his daggers again; which made her feel kind of uneasy, as the use of weaponry and thus potential violence always did, but she would leave it be for now.
When she turned back to face the panda again, it was gone, and her cap as well.
"Ah... well, okay then. Goodbye."
She stared after the panda for quite some time.
