Characters; Sakurazuka Subaru and Shirou Kamui.
Summary; Despite all his angsty uncomfortableness with his new living situation, Kamui decides to teach Subaru how to bake a cake without killing it.

Kamui was still unsure whether or not he wanted to stay in this place; finding his negative emotions flaring at the thought of Subaru and… that guy together. It wasn’t fair, damn it. Subaru had always said that he was devoted to Sakurazuka and could only truly love him, but here he had gone and attached himself to someone random he met in this place. Kamui just couldn’t… understand it. Had Subaru been lying this entire time to keep him at a certain distance? To reject him? The violet-eyed teen certainly felt rejected at the moment. And alone. What was it about him that made people leave him, in one way or another? What was wrong with him?
Still, he would try to be civil in this place; after all, that guy had insisted that Subaru did want him there, even though Kamui wasn’t sure he believed that. Subaru probably just was keeping him in order to ensure he didn’t kill Sakurazuka. Either way, he’d be reasonably good until he couldn’t stand it anymore, and then he’d run away. Or lock himself in his room. Or possibly both. Whatever worked.
For now, though, he was going to spend some time with the one person he still cared about, hoping to god that it wouldn’t end up hurting him. Making a cake shouldn’t be traumatic, right? Maybe… maybe it would even be nice. “Nice. Right,” he mumbled to himself, gathering the last of the ingredients and setting them on the counter, waiting for Subaru to come out to start the lesson.
