Log;
Shortly after finishing word exchange with Rue and Ahiru over the computers, Fakir left the Academy in search of the Opera House. Dusk had already settled in. 'Perhaps this stupid curse will finally lose effect soon,' he thought bitterly, still attempting to quell the inexplicable urge for mint chocolate chip ice cream. He was also feeling a bit nauseous again now that he was up and about.

The footfalls of his shoes were quick and light, as would be expected from a former danseur. And he was in a hurry. Afterall, it had been so long. Would they even be the same people? They certainly seemed to be, through what little conversation he'd had with each through the journals. But it wouldn't surprise him if the city actually changed people.

Hell, if people could turn into zombies and men could experience pregnancy, nothing would surprise him at this point.

"God dammit," he muttered under his breath as he paused, looking left and right for any signs of the Opera building.

Maybe he hadn't been completely honest about actually trying what was suggested to get where you wanted to go in the city. Afterall, it sounded ridiculous. This wasn't like The Wizard of Oz, where you clack your magic shoe-encased heels together and wish to go home.

But at this point, Fakir really had no other ideas.

Releasing an irritated sigh, the ex-knight started a brisk walking pace again, thinking about finding his way to the Opera House. 'This is stupid,' he told himself. 'There's no way it's going to help with-'

And then, there it was. Right across the street from where he was standing was a large structure with many towering windows all in rows. Fakir stood immobile for a moment, dumbfounded. The city really was unpredicatable and made absolutely no sense. However, this was where he needed to go. That much he was sure of. Spotting the nearest entrance to the weathered and many-windowed structure, he made a quick beeline for it.

Months of useless searching that began in Kinkan was finally to come to an end.
