Summary; Holth searches for his bond within the confines of The City.

It had been hours since Holth had originally woken with his cheek to the cool cement of the sidewalk. The area had been familiar in the sense that it appeared man-made, but there was something out of place--this spot was not so densely populated as that to which he had originally emerged the last time he'd been forced from his home. Such had been his first observation. Further analyzation of this fact was halted abruptly, however, upon he having noticed the fact that Seth was nowhere in sight.

Holth was generally not one to panic, but the absence of his eternal comrade was more than enough to render him considerably unnerved. He had been searching since his awakening, thick strands of hair falling selectively before the damaged (but thankfully, healing) eye whilst the other darted to and fro in a near frantic scanning of the streets before him. The others were ignored--strange creatures, they were, not all of them familiar--but he'd not time to consider that now. All he was certain of was that it was a place to which neither of them had been, and that it was an immediately necessity to find Seth. The possibility that they had been seperated by more than a short distance did not even cross his mind, as there it was simply that--impossibility.

His footfalls quickened when he saw a shock of pink amidst the creatures before him on the street. He could not have cared less as he forced his way through them, soundlessly shrugging his way between the few out so late in an attempt to hurry his way to the other. While Holth was capable of retaining some form of composure regarding the instance he was certain that Seth would not be reacting so well to being cast from their home a second time--and seemingly alone.

Holth sidestepped and set both hands to Seth's shoulders upon reaching him, the touch gentle enough not to jar him but still firm so that he could not easily jerk away--as he expected would be the initial reaction.

Once Seth had pressed to him Holth began to withdraw from the sidewalk. If only to get away from those surrounding them. Though they paid far less mind than those with whom they had any experience the last time, Holth desired some form of solitude--if not for his sake, for Seth's. That solitude came in the form of the small alleyway between the two nearest buildings, but Holth did not bother drawing him far into the confines.

Holth's hands came to frame the other's face, brushing back the vivid strands of hair before sliding through them. His own head dropped forth at length and settled to Seth's forehead, his eyes not shutting but expressing a great sense of relief at having found him unharmed.

Holth's lips parted to graze delicately against one of the other's eyelids, one hand coming to trace his companion's jawline and downward along the curve of his neck. It was a gentle movement when his nails curved just so against that spot, more pressure applied to one than the others--just enough to procure the faintest smear of blood against his fingertip. At the same moment another dug into his own flesh, the substance mixing upon the digit before he slid it yet again over Seth's skin.

Athum is no more--this is not the same Hell to which we were formerly extradited.

We will not go. We will not be murdered--they shall not touch you.

The same could not be said of Holth. For all of their perceptions of right and wrong, of perfection and of impurity, Athum had been naught but a lie. It had been proven, and even through their return he had known it--and he knew now that it was the reason they had been expelled yet again. He hadn't the heart, though, to speak of it--not to Seth, not of such betrayal to their creator and home.

Nothing is wrong in this place. I will do all that is in my power for our protection.

Another wound was inflicted beneath the first as the bloodflow began to stem. Holth tilted his head forward, letting his lips graze across it gingerly.

Athum does not exist to Damn us now. You need do nothing. I will act for us both.

His free arm slid tightly about Seth's waist and was employed in urging the other closer.

Do you not trust me?

We will find a dwelling in seclusion. We needn't involve ourselves with the doings of these creatures--things will not change.

He knew that change would be inevitable in truth--he knew that it would require exploration and work. Analyzation and questioning would be necessary, and it would mean an outside source--even that, as it were, would prove different.

Holth lifted his head and let his lips graze against Seth's, trailing them further upward over the curve of his cheek and to the corner of his eye.

I shall not wrong you.

Holth moved to lean heavily against the wall behind him, sinking downward slowly, in such a way that Seth would lower with him. When he met the ground he simply drew the other's form firmly to his own. He hoped to lock out the cold, the noise, and whatever other fearful manner of things existed within this plane of being.

Sleep, and in the light of day we shall find a more suitable dwelling.

Holth would not sleep. Not because he could not, but because he did not trust this place yet--and he wanted to be awake should anything have happened. Seth was clutched protectively in his arms and he tilted his head forward, nestling it comfortably to his bond's shoulder.

Sleep well.

And then his other arm joined the first, words no longer necessary as they needn't communicate in sleep.
