Summary; Alessa is still troubled by her nightmare, so Henry drops by to make her feel better.
Log;
Alessa was curled up on the windowsill, looking out at the courtyard of the cathedral, letting the autumn air pour in through the open window. A sketch pad was open before her, and she was attempting to (albeit very sloppily) draw the courtyard in front of her. Her drawings were nearly childlike, mainly due to the fact that her skill as an artist was still the same as it had been when she was twelve years old, having not held a pencil in years.
Taking a deep breath of fresh fall air, Alessa closed her eyes and sighed. Lisa was gone now, with Xulchibara's return. He would watch over her now, and Lisa was free to go. She had returned to Silent Hill, where she would probably leave the ghost town behind and find a suitable job at a hospital, where she could do some real good in the world and tell others of the true God, the God that would lead all to Paradise. Alessa missed her a bit, since Lisa had been with her for such a long time, but Xulchibara's presence made up for that ten-times over.
Alessa yawned and rubbed her eyes. She hadn't slept very well the night before, but Xulchibara had come and soothed her. And Henry was coming. She remembered what Xulchibara had told her, what it was she needed to do. I'm not ready...not yet, she thought, stretching her arms. Henry would make her feel better. He always did, and she knew he loved her too much to not do anything that would frighten her. She trusted him.

He knocked quietly at her door, content to be doing so. Much of today seemed quiet and calm, and he was happy for that. "Alessa...? Hi, it's me."
no subject
'Thank you for dropping by,' she said shyly, realizing that this was the first time they had seen each other since Xulchibara had arrived. Alessa could feel the symbol on her forehead burn with a pleasing intensity as Henry entered the room. The symbol of her mother's faith.
no subject
He sounded rather shy, as well. He wondered why that was.

Tentatively, Alessa reached up to lay her hand on Henry's, and smiled. 'Me too...don't worry. I'll be okay. They're just dreams...they can't hurt me.' She tried to give him a reassuring smile, but regardless of whether the dreams could hurt her or not made no difference, not really. It still scared her. 'The sun helps,' she admitted. 'It's such a nice day, too.' She glanced out the window at the peaceful courtyard, wishing she had the artistic talent to capture its peace and serenity on paper.

He squeezed her shoulder. He doesn't want to go back to the dreams- it's obvious they did hurt her, and he knew all about that sort of hurt. Maybe he'd tell her about his sometime...he wondered if that would help. "I should go back there and get it someday. That room can't hurt me anymore."

She smiled up at him, and if he looked closely, he would be able to see a blush in her pale cheeks. 'You'd take a picture of me...? That's really sweet of you. I could go with you, if you want. Just in case,' she added hastily. She knew the Room couldn't hurt him now that he was marked as one of Xulchibara's own, but it didn't mean it wouldn't try anything. She didn't trust it....there was something Else in the Room, something that was not of Xulchibara or of Silent Hill. She did not know what it was, and it made her nervous, suffice it to say. If Henry was going in there, she was going with him. Besides, she'd be able to protect him better that way.

His smile back at her was bright. "You'd go with me? That'd be...really great. Just in case." He regretfully pulled away from her to sit down on the bed. He made sure to leave plenty of room for her, in case she wanted to sit next to him. "I'm not worried about it, but...any excuse to spend more time with you," he added shyly. He rubbed his shoulder, then realized what he was doing. It made him grin. "I've got a mark now, Alessa. Just like you."

"Really? Mine's pretty obvious," she said, pointing to her forehead. "It's the symbol of my mother's faith..." Her voice trailed off. She didn't know if she could call it her faith anymore. She believed in the creation myth, believed in God, believed in Xulchibara. But she did not believe that witches deserved to be burnt. She did not believe that what had been done to her was right. Because she did not agree with that....did that mean that she wasn't part of their faith? She didn't know.
"...can I see it?" She asked shyly. She wanted to know what it was. She had felt it, had gotten an impression of it, but she wanted to see it for herself.

He pulled the cloth over his right shoulder down with his left hand. The skin under glowed, displaying the Halo of the Sun. It felt really warm- almost hurting like a sunburn. Henry turned his head to see it, then looked up to Alessa. "He's done an awful lot for me, these past two weeks..."

Alessa swallowed, knowing full too well what it entailed. She smiled at him. "...Xulchibara does that. He takes care of His own." She leant forward and kissed the symbol on his shoulder, and it burnt her lips. It wasn't as tortuous as kissing Xulchibara was, but it still stung a bit, but in a better way. The symbol on her forehead flared to life even more so now, but withdrew as she sat back.
"....What sort of things has he done for you?" She asked, curious.

His eyes stayed half shut as he turned more towards her to answer her question. "He...He kept us safe. I don't know....I talked to Him- I wanted to keep you from getting punished, if I could. And He talked with me and then He...changed me somehow. It's like He picked me up and shook me until everything inside was where it was supposed to be. He made me the Serpent."
Henry leaned towards Alessa and returned her kiss, brushing his lips lightly across her forehead, where her mark was. His eyes fluttered as he felt that wonderful burning. "He's been teaching me how to handle the voices...and how to be ready for things. I've still got a lot to learn, but He's helping me..."

She reached up to stroke his face, smiling. Even though she had lost her burns for quite some time, she never took her healing for granted. She relished in the feel of his face against her fingers. "...I can teach you everything." She leant forward and nuzzled his shoulder, drawn to the symbol there. "Everything and more..."

He shook his head, smiling, and leaned down to kiss the top of her head. "I can't say for sure, but I think I'm going to do some important things...wonderful things." He hugged her, feeling warm and comfortable.
no subject
"Being the Serpent...that is a very wonderful thing." Alessa leaned over and kissed his cheek. "It is one of the greatest honors of all." She paused for a moment, hesitating. "Henry...would you take a walk with me?"
no subject
"I'd love to," he said, trying not to be too enthusiastic about it. "Anywhere in particular you want to go?"

Alessa was fond of the beach ever since she and Henry had kissed after swimming in the ocean's water. It made her feel happy and really did hold good memories for her. She knew that from that moment on that she would always love the ocean.

Then he finally let go, so he could help her up. Today was going to be a wonderful day.
((Sure!))
