Summary; Touya goes to find his partner
Log; Touya had been in shock when he'd sensed Jin's aura entering the city. There was no mistaking it, for the near three months he'd been there he'd always been on the alert, trying to sense a familiar aura, but everyday, nothing. He'd began to give up hope.

He'd raced from his apartment, his movements practically a blur until the cathedral was in his sight. He slowed to walk as he approached the steps, scanning the steps for the familiar head of bright red hair. If this somehow were a trick, he didn't know what he would do.

"Jin?" He called out, tentatively. "Jin, are you here?"

Jin's ears twitched as he heard someone calling his name. That voice...it sounded familiar. Could it be him? Jin slowly sat up, holding his injured arm, and looked around. Instead of calling out he sent a small gust of wind toward the sound of the voice.

Touya jumped as the wind touched him. It could be Jin, but the rational part of him, the part that knew that if his hopes got up to high and then found out it was false that he would break, that side told him it could simply be the wind. So, he raised his voice.

"Jin! If you're here come out now! I'm not going to spend my time searching!"

Please... please be here...

"I would, but I can' get up!" Jin called out, grinning and wiggling his ears despite the pain that was in his arm. "Ya got bandages?"

It was him, there was no mistaking that accent. Touya felt relief flood his system as he followed Jin's voice, taking out the bandages as he went.

"Yes, I have them." He finally found Jin and stared at his partners pitiable condition. "Jin..." He was more than a little in shock. Parts of him were in conflict, one wanting to hug the pointy eared demon, his more controlled side resisting as he walked over, his face not betraying his emotions.

"Stay still so I can treat your arm."

"Stay still?" Jin asked with a raised eyebrow. "I can' stay still. Ya know that." He smiled then tried to get up to hug Touya, but ended up falling back with a wince. "Ah, but I guess I could jus' this once."

Touya shook his head as Jin tried to stand, then fell back down. "You're exactly the same..." He knelt down beside the wind youkai and channeled enough of his aura into his fingers to numb Jin's arm while he removed the glass.

"It figures that somehow you would get injured right after arriving here." Touya shook his head and set to work at removing the glass from Jin's arm, delicate fingers working carefully.

"How long... have I been gone?"

Jin looked away from Touya with pouted lips. "I don' always get 'urt," he mumbeled. But at Touya's next question he bliked. "'Ow long 'ave you...only 'bout 'alf an hour. It took me a while ta find ya, though. Then I ended up 'ere." Jin winced and made a small noise of pain. "Ah! Careful!"

"Only a half an hour in our world?" Touya shook his head slightly, his eyes sad. "I've been trapped here for nearly three months." He continued removing the glass, contemplating what Jin said. This definitely confirmed that the city held no regard for time changes in other worlds.

"Just stay still so I can remove the glass."

"Eh!?" Jin exclaimed, jumping then looking to Touya. "Ah! Ow!" He was silent for a moment to regain his composure. "Th-Three months!? But...what the 'ell?" He looked around the cathedral. "That can' be right..."

Touya grabbed Jin's uninjured arm and forced him to sit again. "I'm not done cleaning your wound." He began removing the glass again and sighed. "Time flows differently in this city, Jin. This isn't anyplace in ningenkai, makai or reikai."

He pulled out another piece of glass. "I've been here for nearly three months, and since then, you've been the first to arrive here from our world."

"I can' believe it...I left you alone for three months," Jin said as he looked down at the ground. "I'm sorry..."

I wanted to stay by your side...

"It's fine Jin, you couldn't have known." He wasn't going to explain that he hadn't been completely alone. He'd lived with another resident of the city named Yamino for some time until he'd managed to escape.

"And... you're here now, so I'm grateful." He said letting a rare smile grace his lips as he pulled out the last shard of glass.

Jin wanted to hug Touya, but knew it would hurt his arm. He would hug him later. "I'm not gonna leave ya the 'ole time I'm 'ere," he said with a grin.

"Thank you." Touya said softly as he began to bandage Jin's arm carefully, pale thin hands taking care of the job quickly.

"How does your arm feel?"

Jin moved his arm slowly. "It 'urts now, but I'll be fine, soon," he said with a reassuring smile.

"Alright." Touya said with a light smile as he stood. "We should go to the apartment I found, it's going to get dark soon."

"Ah, 'ow many beds does the apartment 'ave?" Jin asked as he hid a light blush.

"Two bedrooms." Touya said, not noticing Jin's blush. "I hope you don't mind that someone else stayed with me for a while, it kept the ticking away." And he was grateful that he didn't have to go through the ticking, since Yamino had left, he'd been left to listen to the ticking non-stop.

"The apartment is alright, it isn't our previous dojo but it's pleasant."

Jin looked both relieved and disappointed when Touya said the apartment had two bedrooms. "Ticking?" he asked. He talked so much and sang when he was alone, he never noticed it.
