Log;
Sasuke was getting bored, he had absolutely nothing at this point in time. He let out a sigh, and decided to go for a walk around the city, to get away from his teammates for a little while.
Gaara was still looking for animals. How could there be a city without even rats? The rats must be hiding very well here. Then suddenly...an incredibly familiar swell of chakra. Gaara's narrowed his eyes, closing in on Sasuke. "The Uchiha traitor." Gaara prepares his sand barrier. This could get ugly.
Sasuke made his way through part of the city already, still finding nothing catching his interest yet. Suddenly he looked up and saw Gaara looking in his direction. "Oh, well if it isn't Gaara," he smiked, as he neared him "So when did you arrive here?"
Gaara just stared, the sand already covering his entire body. Hn. The Uchiha hadn't grown much in all that time. Probably because of Orochimaru's evil jutsu. Shukaku moved...whispered dark things into Gaara's ear. How easy it would be to rip the smiling traitorous head from his neck. "Uchiha," he growled, sounding incredibly hungry for blood.
"Yes?" Sasuke said, impatiently as he was still staying on his guard just incase the other tried something,"You know, if you got something to say to me, then just say it."
Gaara took a step back. "I hope Orochimaru taught you well. If not...you won't live very long." Sand began to leave the gourd. Gaara was infinitely more powerful than he was the last time Sasuke had seen him. He would have to be, to keep his Kage title.
Sasuke blinked, taken by surprise with Gaara's words "Hn. Orochimaru? I don't need him. Why would I want anything to do with him?"
Gaara chuckled, as more sand flew from the gourd, forming a slow circle around Sasuke. "Don't think we haven't heard in Suna. Uchiha, the traitor of Konoha. Orochimaru's new pet."
Sasuke just stared at Gaara, curiosly. "Oh, really? Well I'm not traitor, yet, anyhow. Hn, that does explain a lot though. From what you said, I'm guessing you're from Naruto's time then. So tell me, Gaara - when did this all happen?"
Very suddenly, a large whoosh of sand released itself from the gourd and formed dozens of hard, ready spikes all aimed at Sasuke. "It's been two years. I was wondering why you were still...before puberty." Gaara was certainly taller and broader than he had been, though still short and small for a guy his age. Even though this Sasuke may be before the traitorous acts...it was still better to get rid of him before it could happen.
Sasuke laughed, he could make a guess at why he would do something like that. It really did explain a lot. He suspected that Naruto had probably told Sakura about it as well, that being why the two of them wanted to watch over him so much, most likely to make sure he wouldn't do something similar. He realized the other boy - who was probably stronger than he currently is right now - was about to make an attack. "Hn. Two years, huh? No wonder you seemed different." Sasuke said thoughfully,"I haven't even done anything yet, you know. Are you sure you want to go ahead with your attack? I mean, after all - what would my teammates say? Considering they have no idea I know of what you just told me"
Gaara kept the spikes in place. "Prove to me you are not a disgusting traitor, Uchiha." Gaara was waiting for any sign of the evil Uchiha eye. He inched the spikes closer. It would be hard for anyone to escape them...but if this Uchiha had been trained by Orochimaru, it would be nothing. Gaara refused to fall for a bluff.
"Prove it? "Sasuke paused for a moment, considering how exactly he would convince Gaara that he hadn't done anything yet " Well, how exactly am I supposed to do that? Considering I don't know half of what you just told me. I really don't think you would even believe anything I would say to you, even if I am telling the truth"
As far as Gaara is concerned, giving this traitor any chance was enough, but if he hadn't done it yet...murdering him would be just that, murder. Not to mention the Hokage would be angry. "I know a way to prove it." All of the spikes disappear but one. "If you are trained by Orochimaru, you will be able to resist my attack, and save your own life. If not...well, I suppose I will have been wrong." It was the best a bloodthirsty Kazekage could do.
"Well apparently, people can't die in this world anyhow. Well if you really have, go for it," Sasuke shrugged, standing perfectly still, not looking to escape. As much as he hated to admit it, he didn't stand a chance, it was lucky for him that he couldn't die here; that being the only positive thing he could think of about this city. "Considering you're older, that must mean you're a lot stronger than me right now, so I'd say I wouldn't stand a chance at my current strength"
Good, as far as Gaara was concerned. He lets the spike run Sasuke through. "I guess I was wrong," he mentions nonchalantly as it hits. He turns to walk away. He's not afraid of the Uchiha stabbing -him- in the back like he was going to do to Konoha.
"Hn. You think? " Sasuke winced, falling to his knees as blood trickled down as the spike hit. Well that hurt a lot. Gaara definetly was a lot stronger, for obvious reasons. He could have easily died, but with how this city seems to work, he would probably heal by the morning, without teammates knowing what he had learned.
Gaara is vaguely surprised that the Uchiha could talk, but those would probably be his last words. To Gaara, death, is death. When you stabbed them, it was very hard to come back.
Sasuke could tell Gaara seemed to enjoyed having the advantage over him. He scowled at the red haired youth, wondering how he was supposed to make his way back. Today had certainly been eventful, well as eventful as things get considering he was as good as dead. He couldn't exactly go back to the apartmentment where he was staying with his teammates, so he had to figure out someother place to go, or spend the night.
