Summary: Greed decides that he'd better reign in his fellow homunculus.
Log: Greed bounded through the area, scanning the horizon for any signs of Wrath. He definitely had his scent, so he had to be around somewhere.

He searched all the bushes, treetops, and various types of underbrush to no avail.

"Yo, kid! KID! Where the hell are ya'? I know you're around somewhere."

Wrath emerged from a tree-literally, since he had been fused with it. "I had a talk with Tenten already. I'm not going to kill anybody, but...if you still think you need to fight me, I won't hold back."

"Eh? You're not? Why all the theatrics, then?"

"I don't have to explain myself to you." Wrath scowled and stared him straight in the eyes. "If you want to fight, then fight. If not, then stay the hell away from me."

"I'm tryin' to help you out, kid. Stop bein' so damned aggressive and just tell me what's going on. Hell, I'm good with problems!"

"It's nothing I need your help with. It's my own decision where I want to live."

"But what about your old lady?"

"It's her own damn fault for making me." Wrath seemed to flinch for a second at the mention of Izumi.

"Ah, crap, this again. Look kid, I don't know the whole story between you two and don't really care. You should stop bein' so goddamned whiny and get over yourself! Who cares what happened in your past? Just go home, have some ice-cream with your hot mother, and watch some cartoons."

He took a small step forward.

"Or I can just carry you back kicking and screaming."

"I don't care about any of that! She's not my mom, she's just the reason I'm here! And I'm not going back there! If you think it's so fucking nice go live there yourself!" Wrath touched his arm to the ground and a sharp metal cone formed around it.

Greed sighed and walked toward him.

"Kid, you're comin' back, one way or the other."

He stopped in front of the boy and folded his arms.

"What's it gonna' be?"

"You already know my answer!" Wrath lunged out straight for Greed, even though it was pointless to try to kill him. He was getting pissed off, and at least this way he could relieve some of that anger.

Greed simply side-stepped the angry lunge and whirled to face him where he landed.

"Nice try, pip-squeak. That almost tickled me. Care to try again?"

"Just shut up!" Not bothering to turn around, Wrath clapped his hands together and slammed them against the ground. The ground below Greed slowly began to suck him in. "I'm not going back, and I'm not going to waste my time with you. Why can't you just leave me alone?!"

"Because I'm tryin' to help, damn it," he growled, slamming his fists against the shifting ground and popping his legs free. He jumped to the side, and sprang toward Wrath, trying to grab him by the arm.

"Stop bein' difficult!"

Wrath didn't move, and allowed Greed to catch him. "I'm not going home. If you take me there, I'm just going to leave again. I don't know how you think this is helping..."

Greed slowly set him back down and ruffled his hair, kneeling in front of him.

"Look Wrath, you'll probably feel better about this if you just tell someone what's wrong. You were doin' good, then you just go crazy. What' the problem here? Look, we're the only two homunculi here, as far as I can tell. I promise I won't repeat anything you say if you don't want me to."

"Being the cute little shit everyone expects me to be...that's not who I am. I was happy when she was. That's all that mattered. But not anymore. I found some of that red stone, and lost it. So the only way I can make sure she doesn't get hurt is to leave." A tear rolled down his cheek. "At least, until I can control myself."

"Red stone? Ya' mean like this?"

He dugs his claws into his chest and spread his ribcage open.

"A philosopher's stone?"

"Yeah...it reverted me back to this. Back to the physical embodiment of humankind's sin."

"Why not just avoid taking the stone?"

"I got too close...before I knew what I was doing I pounced on it. How this happened isn't important. Please...let me go, and take care of Izumi..."

"Kid she loves you no matter what you are. Granted, I ain't too familiar with the feeling, but it's better havin' people than not having any. You can't go through life alone. Especially lives as long as ours. You should enjoy havin' her while she's still alive."

"If I stay there, I'm going to hurt her! Just...give me some time."

"Pfft. Ah, fine. I'll come back when you're not feelin' quite so crazy emo."
