Ryu was prissy. Either prissy or extremely anal.

He had to be, who else would spend a perfectly good Thursday morning with no school, work or whatever to contend with just to clean because one or two chairs were out of place? Hayato flopped over on the couch and ignored his friend and the obvious 'you-live-here-and-should-be-helping-me' look. He spent the majority of his life with a hardworking dad and a studious little brother; three men in one tiny apartment suite meant no cleaning unless things were really stinking or piling up. Their current environment was nowhere near that state yet, so, Ryu had to be prissy. Or anal, take your pick.

"I'm bored and you're cleaning, Ryu. What else am I supposed to do?" Hayato had asked out loud when Ryu started to show signs of giving up on him. Honestly, Ryu wasn't really going to spend the entire day cleaning, right? He stole a glance towards Ryu who seemed more interested in non-existent dust.

"What happened to the good ol' days when we played with each other?" You know, good ol' days without cleaning duties, Hayato added silently in his head.

Ryu, contrary to popular belief, was neither anal nor prissy. He was just extremely used to clean environments and the dust made him cough. Okay, so maybe he was a little particular. But never prissy.

Occasionally he would glance at Hayato while cleaning up to see what his friend was up to. "I don't know. You're a big boy, Hayato, surely you can think of something."

He swept the corner one last time and turned around to look at the place. It was good enough, he decided, and gave Hayato a questioning look. "What do you want to play?" Hayato was too predictable. Ryu hoped his intuitions were right.

"Polishing the.. wand?" Ryu asked, raising one perfectly arched eyebrow. So he was right. But it wasn't in his nature to just go around giving his friends favours, you know? No, not at all.

But then again, this was Hayato. Big difference.

Ryu looked down, trying to hide the blush creeping up his cheeks, because honestly, real men don't blush. What the hell was wrong with him? "I don't remember playing that," he muttered under his breath, replacing the broom and dust pan in one corner.

Soon after he set the broom and dustpan down, Ryu realised he would have to turn around and face Hayato. He could do that, no problem. Right.

He shuffled his feet, inhaled deeply but quietly and then turned around, hands stuffed into both his pockets and looking at Hayato with feigned ignorance in his eyes. "Are you sure you could?" he asked. Of course he knew Hayato could.

Ryu just wanted to see how far his friend would go.
