She really didn't need it, anyway. It was best to just throw him off completely by coming at him with something he hadn't expected, which meant general kunai usage was out too. A pity, but what Tenten had lined up was sure to surprise him. It helped that it was a favourite of hers, too.
"I'd ask how Cobray's feeling, but you probably don't care."

Ingram looked back at Dis Astranagun, who was a small distance away. He held his hand out towards Astranagun. A small piece of metal broke off it's foot and spun quickly towards Ingram. It stopped about three feet away from Ingram's hand, where upon he raised it to the sky. The metal followed suit, spinning rapidly enough to kick up the dust around him into a whirlwind. It then dropped into his hand. It looked like a tuning fork, but one of the forks was snapped off.
"Oh Tenten. I'll start easy, but I assure you, you won't even touch me."
no subject
It wasn't that she knew she'd win the fight for sure - there were too many variables that would probably end in her losing - but she was confident enough that she could last out long enough to find how deep she needed to dig to get Cobray back. The rest would follow after that.
"As for touching you~" Her fingers tightened around the scroll she had hidden from view. "I'm not a hands person. I let the weapons do the talking~"

"T-Link Sword!" Ingram yelled. A green blade shot out of the handle. It took the shape of a longsword, however, the one edge was covered by the tuning fork piece that was jutting out of the handle. The blade wavered and glimmered in the light. Ingram then reached into his pocket and pulled out his own kunai.
"A superior throwing weapon. We don't have these things where I come from. However..," Ingram trailed off. He tossed the kunai hard to the right, where it vanished.
"Let's see how well your reflexes are, shall we?" Ingram asked, looking at the kunai that had appeared behind Tenten was sailing toward her.

Tenten wasn't about to let him best her with a weapon she'd mastered years ago, after all. "Your space bending, I take it?"

Dis Astranagun bent it's back and five sets of batwings appeared. They broke forth into what looked like winged half circles, with the bottom part sporting a laser cannon. The five Gun Slaves floated around Astranagun.
While waiting for the Gun Slaves to come out, Ingram took a step forward and swung his sword straight down at Tenten.

She chose instead to dodge to the left as she brought her hand up to catch the metal part of his sword with the one sai, right hand swinging around towards his side, mind already working on pushing him forward and away from the giant mech he seemed so fond of.
no subject
"I may have underestimated you. You were smart enough to grab the metal instead of the actual blade. However, that was move number one."
Ingram held his hand out and a short metal staff came out of his pocket. He swung it to the side and a 10 foot long broadsword formed. Lightning shot up and down the blade as the machine cells struggled to form. He held it up easily with his right hand hand, implying that it was actually very light. Ingram charged forward, putting his left hand on the blade, preparing to swing it horizontal.
At the same time, the Gun Slaves began to swoop in and open fire with lasers. However, their size became a major inhibitation. They were three times the size of a human, so accuracy was out of the question. They served more as a distraction.

Tenten smirked again, leaping back and using the momentum to launch herself into the air, dodging the laser blasts effortlessly as she caught Ingrams sword arm with the tonfa, pushing him towards the ground with her body weight as she manouvered to kick him in the head at the same time.

He let go of the sword with his left hand and raised it to where the kick was going to land. When Tenten's foot came in, it slammed into a field. It sparked as it clashed with the power of Tenten's foot. It held up long enough to allow Ingram to drop backwards and land on his back.
Laying on his back, Ingram said, "Every psychodriver worth his own mind can create a Nendou Field. But, now your time is up. I'm done fooling around. Your pathetic attempts to keep me away from Astranagun are worthless."
Astranagun let out a low growl, and in a flash of light, Ingram was teleported inside it. The Gun Slaves stopped shooting and headed back towards Astranagun. It's wings unfurled and it lifted off about 5 feet into the air.
"Now, it's time for you to witness the power you have been underestimating the whole time. The one thing that no one in this city can stand up against," Ingram's voice reverbrated, amplified by Astranagun.

She flipped back, recovering the sai and taking note of the best places to run and hide in case she really needed it, but paying more attention to the best route needed to get high enough. Most of her weapons wouldn't be able to scratch the mech, assuming she could get past the shield in the first place, but the brunette was hoping that the other exploding tags she'd managed to hide earlier would be enough to force him out if needed.
It was just a matter of waiting to see how well the first one acted for her, and she didn't need to wait much longer.

"Emeth to Meth. The only true wasy to go is from darkness to light!" Ingram said, starting the cannons to charge.
Ingram looked down and felt something odd on his arm. It was a piece of paper, half burned. He was curious, so he allotted Tenten a few more seconds of time.
"May I ask what this is? I assure you, it will cause me no harm, however, it will represent a problem when I leave here. Let me explain. I pilot Astranagun in a null space. Whenever positive energy flows, it is counteracted by negative energy. The opposite also applies. That is how I kept your shinigami friend from waking up so long. Storing her here in null space kept her from doing anything unless I allowed her too. Your surprise did catch me off guard, but it is worthless versus technology," Ingram explained.
"Also, don't think of leaving. I did say I was going to capture you. If you may know or not know, around this area is surrounded a selective wormhole that was supposed to keep all females out. However, Greed complained, so I changed it. Once I learned you were angry and were out to get me, it was simple to reset it to keeping all females in, no? Ah, it looks like Meth Asher is done charging. Any last words?"
no subject
"But I'd like to go with boom? I think that sums everything up quite nicely." She smiled nonchalantly, watching him carefully as her fingers worked their way around the clasp on the second scroll.
no subject
The two cannons stopped glowing with black energy. "Meth Asher! Fire!"
Two black beams outlined in a faint white color shot forth and slammed into the ground around Tenten. Everything in the area began to feel heavier. Alot heavier. Two miniature black holes formed from the impact with the earth. They picked themselves up on their sides, their immense gravity slowly forcing them to draw toward each other, sandwiching Tenten in between them.
no subject
"But you know, it's a shame it missed. I guess all that training with Lee really has upped my speed~" She shrugged, gloved hands gripping the chain tight as she watched carefully.
"See, this might become a stalemate. I can dodge whatever you throw at me, and apparently your mech has an infinate battery. But we're both human, and I'm pretty sure one of us forgot to have breakfsat this morning, huh~? As for your wormhole thing... Eh. I'm a girl with all the right contacts. I'm sure I'll figre something out."
no subject
Dis Astranagun reached down at his sides and pulled off the two long sticks. He attached them together while soaring into the air. He turned and dived for the ground, firing his RAAM shotgun spread shot at Tenten.
no subject
"Plus, since you're such a large target, it makes it easy to predict what you're going to do and react accordingly." Since the one on him didn't seem to be working, maybe these ones would since they weren't inside the mech. Tenten wasn't sure it would make much difference, but the information could come in handy. And they were her best work - the middle one designed to explode into shrapnel, with the other two acting to heat the shrapnel up faster, allowing it to slice through things more efficently. Not even Neji's kaiten had been able to stop all the particles when she'd tested it out, to her great amusment.
And at the very least, she'd have used them in a fight for real. That alone made the gamble worth it as she moved back, out of the range, waiting to see how effective it would be.

"Sly, I must say, however, remember that growing sword from earlier?" Ingram inquired. Lightning shot forth as the machine cells in Astranagun furiously multiplied, growing another leg in place of the last one.
"You are quite fast, however, I haven't even shown the extent of my powers. Ever wonder why they called Cobray "Another TimeDiver"?"
Ingram muttered the three words that all shinigami in the town should fear. "Dis Lev...Overdrive!" Astranagun's engine drew in an exceedingly large amount of energy, primarily from Cobray.
That energy was then focused on everything around Astranagun. Time began to slow down, but Astranagun and Ingram moved at normal speed. Ingram quickly flipped the large stick around and a metal scythe formed out of liquid that exuded from the stick.

"Overcompensating much?" She pulled her sleeves up, starting to untie the weights that lay on her wrists. The first one fell with a dull thud as she moved on to the other one. "I've always hated a person who thinks the larger the weapon the better. It shows no understanding whatsoever." The second was off, echoing the other with another thud as she grabbed a kunai, twirling it from hand to hand before raising her shirt slightly, slicing away at the bandages around her stomach and freeing another set of weights that dropped with another loud thud although they were nowhere as heavy as the ones Lee wore. The shrapnel tags worked, although it was only a small benefit. If she could move quickly enough, get enough of them on, she should be able to force him out. Tenten just needed the opening, the height. She nudged the weights with her foot, a small smile sliding into place.
"To think I'd have to show you this. It's a shame. I only ever wanted to have to remove them to take down Neji and Lee. But I guess I'll consider this a practice run for that." It was an long shot, said on the off chance that she could anger him and make him lose his edge. It was always easier to take down someone who couldn't control thier anger, after all. Giant robot with lasers or not. "I'm going to force Cobray out of you, Ingram~"

"This fight is over." A small white light flashed out of Astranagun's chest. He soared high into the air. High in the sky, a red flash illuminated. The sign of one of the demonic sybols being formed. Astranagun dropped through it. A few seconds later, Astranagun appeared right beside Tenten, the scythe streaking down towards her.
no subject
She'd probably get hit by her own shrapnel if she didn't land quickly enough, but it was a small enough risk to warrant the action. She pulled on the string attached to her hand, yanking the kunai back to her as it wrapped around the mech, another tag attached to it and about to explode, setting off the rest.
no subject
Ingram smiled. He was surprised Tenten didn't realize what that light was for. When he used his wormhole, he grabbed a tree and tossed it through another wormhole, and then with that white light, cast a hologram of Dis Astranagun on the uprooted tree. Of course, he borrowed that idea from the previous bunshin trick, but he had to make it seem solid, or else it would fail.
But now, once again, twin black blasts sheathed in white slammed into the ground around Tenten. The blackholes formed and began to draw together, anything in between immobilized from the two gravity wells pulling at each other.
no subject
"Are you done shitting about yet?" She had enough tags left, but barely. She was going to blow that thing to pieces and get him out if it was the last thing she did.
no subject
From behind Tenten, the sixth and final Gun Slave drove in at her hard. It was the one he left to keep a watch on Tayuya a week ago. It came in, it's 6 legs open wide, reaching out to grab Tenten.
no subject
"Your surprises are pretty lame." If he was going to stay up there, she'd go to him. Tenten wasn't as adept as Neji or Shikamaru at coming up with scenarios, but she was still capable. "I'm just wondering why Cobray isn't offering you any hints. He'd know how to throw me off balance, I'm sure. You? You're only making me wish you hadn't gotten faster, which is, at the very most, a small irritation." Tenten let the bow hang idly in her hand, waiting once again.
no subject
He pulled up his shotgun and set it to energy mode. He used his sensors to lock onto Tenten and squeezed off a shot. He waited for her to move, so he could do it again and again.
no subject
Oddly enough, he'd played right into what she'd hoped he would. The bunshin was fast enough to dodge the shots, sticking to roughly the same area as it moved, occasionally launching a kunai or three at the mech, leaving her free to move. As long as the bunshin lasted, she could take care of more of the shrapnel digging into her leg and prepare for the next attack from her safe spot.

"Tetractys Grammaton," Ingram mumbled, but it still echoed loudly. Astranagun reached down and opened up a compartment on his chest. A small black cylinder came forth and opened up. A blinding white light shot out of it. In the light, a huge tranlucent image of Ingram could be seen, but he had long hair. Behind him, overshadowed was a weary Cobray, being forced to merge with Ingram. Ingram held an open hand infront of his face. The cylinder created a ball which grew to a massive size, inside it looked to be another universe.
no subject
Not that she'd ever let the two fight. She bound her leg as best she could, giving up on the rest of the metal as she prepared herself. Let him get rid of the bunshin, and she'd move from there. But she wouldn't waste a chance to understand this attack.
The bunshin stared up at him, prepared to just take the attack.

The purple ball containing the universe grew even larger. Soon it hit the point where it could go no more.
"Now, return to nothingness, in midst of this infinite light! AIN SOPH AUR!"
In a violent explosion, the ball was gone. Suddenly, the scenery changed. Everything began red, and there was no ground. He looked around and spotted Tenten, the fake not there, since it wasn't a living being.
"You know, this attack doesn't work like it used to, but I've tested it out before. Do you know where we are right now? Probably not. We are on the spirit plane. It's pointless to move unless you are a shinigami. All you'll do is strain yourself and you won't move a muscle. Consider it something like nullspace. Anyways, I bid you to look upwards."

He ignored Ingram's instructions, glancing at the mech. "I take it you had a plan to get rid of that thing? If you can't move, I'll just have to fucking move for you." His free hand pulled Tenten to her feet, holding her as protectively as he could manage.
"Hey, dipshit. If you're going to fight in a shinigami's area, then fight a fucking shinigami. It's a fucking basic rule of fighting."

In the sky, the clouds were swirling fast enough to be a hurricane. Another demonic symbol flashed in the clouds. From the center of the spinning mass, a light shone forth. It bathed Tenten and the newcomer in it's warmth.
"Sadly, you are caught in the middle of my own divination," Ingram said as a large circle formed right below them, surrounded by ten smaller circles. The design inside the larger circle was intricate, taking the shape of a decagram.

The lights didn't bother him as he plunged the katana into the ground, shouldering the ninja across his back before reclaiming the blade and moving forward, towards Ingram. She was surprisingly light, then then again he had seen her drop several pounds of weight on the ground earlier.
"I take it she didn't stop to consider that talking to you might help?" Oh, he'd hate himself for this tomorrow, but that would be tomorrow. Tenten's energy was low, her chakra lower as she clung to his back, and his first concern was getting her out of the way so he could finish what she'd started so he could go home and pretend he hadn't been involved.
"Then again, talking to crazed idiots rarely does any good." She slipped something into his hand and Hisoka took it, continuing to move forward.
no subject
"It's to late. You are stuck."
Out of the ten circles surrounding the larger circle, large orange blobs came forth. They began to orbit quickly around Tenten and her companion. Before anything else could be said, the purple ball that previously formed from the cylinder in Astranagun's chest was now around them, locking them in place, keeping them from moving any further.
no subject
He hated her instantly, since being blown back by a large explosion really wasn't in his plans for the day, but coupled with his own protection spell it had been enough to launch him out of the sphere. What wounds he had recieved were quick to heal and now freed of the ninja in his arms, it was easy enough to follow through with the rest of her plan.
"I take it you didn't think she'd find backup?" His katana was sharp enough to slice through the metal of the mech and he moved purposefully, mixing her tags in with his own and using his magic to levitate them as high as he needed. "Apparently, she'd rather you were out of there. I'm inclined to agree."
no subject
Ingram crossed his arms, Dis Astranagun doing the same.
"I'm through with this farce. I was enjoying it, but since you came along, I intend to have my goal and leave. I dare you to strike out at me, but don't say I didn't warn you. The results won't be what you like. Also, it won't work the reverse way. Now I'm picking up my prize and leaving."
Astranagun's wings unfolded and he purposefully glided over to Tenten.
no subject
His head was pounding with the influx of emotions but if using empathy was going to help... He really didn't know why he cared what happened to the ninja. He really didn't. He swing the katana again, igniting some of his tags in the process as he slid between the girl and the mech.
"She's going to leave, and then we're going to finish this up. Understand?"
no subject
Ingram unleashed all six Gun Slaves and had them spread out. They put up a steady barrage while Astranagun moved forward.
"Don't forget, I can render you powerless, if for just a few moments, so I'd hold that temper."
no subject
"I'm not like the other shinigami."
She was so sure she had a way to get herself out, so determined that he just had to give her the chance. Stupid girl. As long as he didn't have to shoot her in the head, though, he didn't really care what it took.
"How are you holding up?"
no subject
"I don't think he knows anything about you guys though. He assumes you're all the same. He can't even tell you're that much slower." She giggled slightly at that, gripping the scroll tightly. "But he doesn't know the limits people go to to protect others. He doesn't understand a thing. That's the one good thing about Cobray. So even if it's going to take some near dieing, once again, on my part, I don't mind.
"I'll give you my full permission to finish this fight up as you see fit." She smeared her own blood across the scroll, moving slowly, carefully, letting him help her move the items around to create an anti shield with the remains of her chakra.
no subject
Three Gun Slaves rushed in to grab Tenten while the other three worked to stick their lasers right on the shinigami's face and fire. In the meantime, Astranagun dropped the planar travelling and everyone was about 10 feet off the ground.
no subject
"I don't get why you want her anyway. She sure as hell isn't that attractive, nor is she the strongest." He brought the katana up, slicing clean through one of the Gun Slaves before landing on the ground, not at all fazed by the drop as he glanced back up. "Besides, you do anything to her, and you've got half the City rising up against you in protest because yes, the girl is that wierd and she's made friends with a lot of people here."
no subject
Ingram flew backwards a few feet and has Astranagun pick up the pieces of the incompleted mech that was on the ground. He teleported out of the area , leaving a note floating around in the displaced air.
no subject
"Hn. I get involved only to have him run away on me? Fuck, girl, I thought you picked fights with people who weren't cowards." He sighed, hoisting her into his arms bridal style. "You tell anyone I helped you, I'll leave you to bleed in the fountain, got it? I'll take you home for now." Hisoka sighed, still unclear as to why Ingram wanted the girl in his arms, but he didn't dwell on it too much, grabbing her weights and discarded weapons for her before heading to her building.
If he had to, he'd fight Ingram again. And he wouldn't let the coward get away. Not that he'd admit to having fought him in the first place.
