Log;

The large Chojin had returned to the hospital later that evening, after his nap, to continue moving the wreckage around, checking for survivors. There was a small sick feeling in the pit of his stomach, as if trying to warn him.

There must still be people trapped under all dat rubble..

It was a nice feeling.. helping others. After all, Justice Chojin were meant to protect and save humans from danger. Despite once being evil, Mars had changed his ways.

He took a small break, lifting up his headdress so he could wipe the sweat from his brow. That sick feeling was still there. "Guess I can't rest just yet.."

"RUTH!"

Valerie had wasted no time in racing from the haven she and Evey had taken up residence in. She flew from the building, racing back for the hospital, only pausing once before she left to be sure Evey would be okay. Now she was back at the scene of devastation, and she was frantic.

"RUTH!" She screamed. The woman had no idea how long she had been searching, crying out for her lover, but by now her voice had taken on a raspy quality. But that didn't stop her calling for Ruth. The ache in her joints didn't stop her picking her way through the rubble, shoving at debris in a futile attempt to find her.

Ruth pulled her legs closer to her chest and rested her forehead on her knees, her breath ragged. Oh God, someone please. The one thought continued to circulate through her mind. A choked sob escaped her throat and she clenched her eyes shut. It was easier with her eyes closed, she didn't have to see the darkness then. She could pretend she was back home, in her flat in London, with Valerie, when she had her eyes closed.

The ground shook slightly from the aftershocks of the earthquake, the rubble around her shifted. She cried out as something sharp pierced her side. Ruth could feel the blood trickle down, wetting her clothes. Luckily it was slow, she knew that meant the cut wasn’t too serious, at least, she hoped it wasn’t.

“Oh God, Valerie please, help me.” Valerie.

"RUTH! Oh, God, where are you?" She stopped a moment, chest heaving with exertion and anxiety, both hands lifting to tangle into the haphazard curls of her hair. She couldn't do this alone. She knew she was too frantic to be able to think clearly...

"Hello...?"

The woman jerked around as she heard another voice, wild eyes falling on a figure nearby. Before her thought process had even finished, she lurched forward, running to him.

"Excuse me!" She shouted to him, waving as she raced towards him, nearly tripping over some of the rubble in her haste, "Please! I need help!"

Ruth shifted her body slightly and hissed as the pain in her side flared for a moment, overwhelming her senses. She took a couple of deep breaths, riding out the waves of pain. You can do this, you just have to wait for someone to find you. Ruth tried to convince herself, but the situation was just all too familiar. NO! You're not back there, you can't be back there. You're in the city, and Valerie is here. Oh, Valerie... Ruth let out another small sob at the though of her love.

"Hello...?"

Ruth's head snapped up at the voice she heard through the debris and rubble surrounding her. "Hello?! Is someone there?! Please!" She yelled, hoping that she did not imagine the voice.
