Log; Ongoing
When; December 6th
Rating; Pg
Characters; Foaly and Holly
Summary; Holly goes to check up on the paranoid centaur.
Log; Some would say that Foaly the centaur was paranoid. He called it being safety-minded. After all, just because he was paranoid didn't mean the world wasn't out to get him. And thus, every aspect of his life was made safe by several measures.
This was made apparent at the lab where he now stayed. It would seem rather normal to the human eye, but from a fairy's perspective, it was anything but. Mounted onto the overhang that stood above the door was a series of pen-laser nuetrino blasters, Foaly's latest invention. At the door was a scanner and video camera that would scan whoever came near the door and decide whether the visiting person was clear to enter. If not, those little lasers would do their work.
Also, all the windows were covered in sheets of cam-foil, disguising the fact that there were even windows there. After all, the centuar valued privacy.

It was certainly odd, and not only the lack of flight. Though she knew she was going to get a strict telling-off as soon as she met up with Foaly in a few minutes. Gods, but that was odd as well. She thought she was the only one from her People that had been pulled into the City; she thought the centaur was too clever to be dragged into it like that, and suspected he could find her.
Another thing weighed heavily on her mind, but at that moment, the elf had arrived in front of the spot where she suspected Foaly's hidden lab could be. She tested the boundaries carefully, side-stepping quickly when a Neutrino pulse singed the ground an inch from her foot -- seemingly from nowhere. Clever.
"I'll thank you to let me in, Foaly," called Holly, hazel eyes scanning the clearing with amusement.

Well, at least that's what he hoped. He was still working the bugs out of his new systems.

"Same as ever..."
Smoothing a hand over cropped auburn locks, the LEP captain strode purposely towards the door, checking over it for any more security devices and, finding none that she could see, entered the lab. Hazel eyes scanned the room once then fell upon Foaly, and a warm smile broke across the elf's features at the sight of her best friend.
"Foaly," she greeted, leaning against the door with her trademark grin. "Good to see you."

He set her down and did a quick once over to make sure that she was indeed alright. "Well, you seem to be in one piece, that in itself is a miracle."

Holly raised her brows at the comment, one hand on her hip and she snorted incredelously. "Of course I'm in one piece. Why would you expect anything less?" Under her breath, she added, "Not that I can say the same thing about your equipment..."
