Ran & Kamui! Log! FINISHED!
When; Now?
Rating; PG. Maybe PG-13 for Kamui mentally swearing.
Characters; Kamui & Ranmaru
Summary; Kamui doesn't like Ranmaru, but Ranmaru isn't getting the hint. At all. Can Kamui's view of him change?
Log;
Kamui was cursing himself at the moment: he never should have said anything to that guy, damn it. He never should have drawn attention to himself. Because he had, he now was going to have to put up with him while Subaru wasn’t around, and… ugh. He wasn’t pleased with this. Although, admittedly, at least with Subaru not around, he wouldn’t have to put up with them being all… coupley.
Still, he wasn’t planning on being outright social with his guy; thus, he had burrowed himself under the covers of his bed, not moving. Maybe Ran was stupid enough that he’d think he was asleep? Then he wouldn’t have to deal with him!

Stopping by from cafe Juliet and picking up the most delicious parfait he could order, he rushed home and then decoraed the contents of the take-away appropriately, and set them on a tray, along with some tea for later and carried it to Kamui's room. Knocking on the door twice, he then pushed it open and peeked his head in.
"Kamui-kun?" he called, elbowing the door open, and walking in wih a wry smile. "Hiding under the blankets will not do any good, you know.." he walked in, setting the tray on the low table and kneeling beside him on the futon.
"Ranmaru can hear your breathing." he added, with a tease to his voice. "Look what I got you!"

He couldn't just lay there, though, so he peeked out from the covers slightly to look at the treat. It... did look pretty good, but... "Th-thanks. Leave it. I'll eat it later." And with that, he burrowed again and rolled over, facing away from the other.

"The parfait has icecream in it. Therefore it must be eaten immediately, or it shall melt!" he warned. "Then it wont taste as good, Kamui-kun!"
There were other reasons to his insistence, but for now.. this would do.

"Eat slowly now, don't give yourself a headache." he warned, pouring himself some tea in a cup, and kneeling there, turning the chawan thrice before raising it to his lips and taking a sip after sweetening the tea in his mouth with a sugar sweet.
"You haven't eaten anything else, right? Be sure to come for dinner too.. what do you like eating, Kamui-kun? Ranmaru will try and make it!"

But Kamui's prone to being a violent brat, whereas Subaru isn't. I wish Ran the best of luck. ♥

Looked like Seishirou was going to have a bitch of a time in his mission. Not that Kamui was helping things, having constantly refused to give him useful information.
"And I like to eat the hearts and souls of young children, obviously." He so wasn't cooperating.
no subject
"Anything else..?" he turned and pet Kamui's shoulder. "Kamui-kun, please finish it. I brought it with you in mind." his tone was, however, calm, instead of cajoling. Spoiling only went to an extent, but rudeness was something he didn't tolerate.
"Subaru-san would be most unhappy with you if I told him you were skipping out on meals. It'll be our secret." he added, with an air of mischief.
no subject
"I don't need to eat, anyway," he finally said, wondering to himself if that was really true, especially considering he was somehow hungry. He was dead, sure, but... his bodily functions seemed to be the same as anyone living; only difference was that his heart didn't beat. Kamui still wasn't sure how that was possible, when the rest of the body so relied on that certain contract and release of muscle. Of course, this place didn't seem to follow logic or science anyway, so...
And then his train of thought was suddenly severed when the other TOUCHED him, his body flinching instictively. What the hell had made Ranmaru think he could do THAT?! "Will you leave me alone if I finish what you brought me?"
no subject
And then there was that entire thing about.. what Tatsumi-san had told him, that one day. Ranmaru's expression hardened briefly when he recalled Seishirou-san repeating it to him. A traitor. No.. he didn't want to think on it, so he pushed it out of his thoughts and smiled again.
"Ranmaru isn't certain what makes you dislike company so much. But it is best to have someone than not have someone at all, you know.."

After a moment, he finally wiggled out again to finish eating quietly, trying to go as fast as possible. Unfortunately, he went a little too fast, and as Ranmaru had warned earlier, found himself with a headache. Not that he was going to show such a human weakness to the other; quickly hiding back under the covers with a little groan.

Moving the tray back, Ranmaru sighed and poured Kamui some tea to soothe the problem when he'd be a little more relaxed.
"Being alone has it's own benefit, though.." he murmured. "That just means you can meet more people. And you'll have loved them or hated them, and felt instead of being an empty shell of nothing. Those who can exist and not take full advantage of it, even if it isn't living.. it's pitiful, don't you think?"
no subject
"I don't believe in pity," he said quietly, but almost forcefully, taking a sip of tea. It was kinda true, though: he didn't pity anyone, and he certainly didn't want anyone pitying him. Sure, it kinda happened anyway, but... he didn't like it. It was pointless. "And I don't see a point in meeting new people. Everyone I come in contact with... bad things happen to them."
no subject
"But if you want to receive comfort while not being a burden, then be honest about it. It's not right to make others worry when you know they would go out of their way to do so if they knew you were in pain and you are only dragging it out."
He didn't mean himself only, he was speaking for Subaru, as well as Kamui's friends who would care. At this rate, Kamui would only burn himself alive.
He turned to look directly at the boy, his silver gaze locking with the other's now.
"Ranmaru wants to make things right for you, but it only seems as though you wish to punish Ranmaru for something that wasn't in his control."
no subject
Kamui had to admit, now... that he was curious as to how Ranmaru would take his words. He knew the other was suspicious of him, and this could either confirm his suspicions or confuse them. On one hand, he was saying he was communicating with Seishirou, and on the other... he was saying that he hated him and wanted him to leave him be. All of which were entirely true.
no subject
The blood drained from his face when Kamui mentioned Seishirou's pestering. He'd been bugging him too, but this just further confirmed the suspicion he'd had for a while. Then, with a frown on his face, Ranmaru settled back, moving an arm across his chest and the other close to his chin.
"He has been inquisitive with Ranmaru as well, that Seishirou-san. Kamui-kun, he'll only hurt you. He doesn't seem to have the same love for Subaru-san as one would believe he did.." he turned to look at Kamui with a concerned gaze, then sighed.
"You're too stubborn for your own good, Kamui-kun. But please.. whatever you have left, don't waste it by being his pawn. From what Subaru-san told me about him.. he's cruel and merciless, and will remain that way. If what Tatsumi-san did to Ranmaru on that curse day was any indication, there's no telling what he would do to one so obviously distraught himself.." he meant Kamui directly, and he was also quietly telling him his confirmed suspicion as well as telling him that while Kamui was fully responsible for his own actions, he wasn't going to give him any trouble but the rightful warnings that were necessary.
no subject
"At least he can't kill me or anything," he added with a bitter little laugh.
no subject
"It is not a matter of whether you can die or not, Kamui-kun. Look at what it's doing to you. It's tearing you inside out and making you hate not only yourself, but the possbility of luck you could have with anyone else." and that was just heartbreaking.
Genuine concern in the boy's tone, Ranmaru shook his head. "You don't want to be this way. Unless you are a masochist, there is no way you can enjoy this pain you're going through.." he sighed, eyes filed with worry.
"What is he asking of you? You don't need to go through this.. I.. I don't want you to suffer anything, Kamui-kun. Isn't this enough? You don't deserve this pain!"
no subject
"He's been wanting me to give him information about you," he finally said, turning away. "On a curse day, I had agreed to help him, but after that day... I didn't want to. I didn't want Subaru to be hurt, so... all I've been telling Sakurazuka is stupid stuff. Things I know can't be useful to him at all. Sometimes I even make things up." A sigh. "But he's caught onto my stalling. All I can do now is take what he does to me."
Kamui stayed silent for a moment, then made a move to get up. "I should probably leave."
no subject
"You need to go nowhere. You obviously don't want to do this, and you do not need to. Kamui-kun.."
He hesitated, before drawing close and giving him a light hug before letting go, looking at the boy's face. "Stay here. You needn't fear Seishirou-san. I'll protect you. And so will Subaru-san." he smiled a bit. "And don't you dare try running away and doing something stupid."
Petting the other's cheek good-naturedly, he drew back and knelt again. "But.. there's a condition. I want you to go tell Subaru-san everything. Every single thing. He will not be happy, but Ranmaru would rather you have that, than suffer Seishirou-san's torture."
He'd never forgive that man for harassing both Kamui and Subaru.
"Please, Kamui-kun."
no subject
Or maybe he was mad, and was just hiding it. That condition... was pretty harsh, after all. "N-no. I can't. Subaru will hate me, and then..." he suddenly realized that he was crying, terrified of confronting his friend, "then I really will have nothing left. I don't want Subaru to hate me..." Which was a stupid concern to have when, in hindsight, he'd done almost everything possible to make sure the older man would.
no subject
That Seishirou-san.. what would it take for him to leave them alone? Ranmaru was an outside in all of this, but.. they were here together and just because they were from the same world and he wasn't didn't mean that allowed him to play by those rules here as well!
"Kamui-kun, stop talking nonsense.." he whispered against his hair. "Subaru-san might get angry, but he'd never hate you. He cares for you. He just never shows it in an outright way, but he cares for you. Even if it's not the way you want it, is it right to hurt him and condemn him for something he wants as much as you..? It hurts him when you're hurt.. you have to see that.."
Sighing and trying to calm Kamui down, Ranmaru whispered, "Ranmaru will help you if you want. And.. Ranmaru isn't angry. A bit disappointed that you did all this.. but you're human. You make mistakes.. as do we all. Ne..?"
no subject
After a few moments, he managed to calm down a bit, pulling back to wipe his eyes. "I have to go see Sakurazuka one more time, though. I need to tell him I quit." That, he knew, was NOT going to go over well, but... he'd deal with it. "And I don't want you or Subaru involved."
no subject
"Kamui-kun.." he extended a hand to wipe Kamui's cheeks with his fingers. "Please don't go alone. Please. If you tell him that, and you're alone, there's no telling what will happen."
He looked pleadingly into the other's eyes.
"Please tell Subaru-san first, Kamui-kun. He'll know what to do. We don't know what Seishirou-san will do."
no subject
Kamui moved to stand against the wall, leaning. "Let's go find Subaru. I want to get this over with. I'm as prepared now for his rejection as I'll ever be."
no subject
"It matters what happens to you, Kamui-kun. You're important to him.. and to me!" he told him urgently. He moved over and touched his shoulder again. "Listen to whatever he says, he'll never want badly for you. Especially if badly is like Sakurazuka Seishirou."
A small smile appeared on his face, offering him a hand. Even if Kamui didn't take it, it would be something like an encouraging gesture.
"A friend never leaves one behind. Let's go."
no subject
Either way, now was not the time to ponder such things; what with him about to practically get his head bitten off. Or so he assumed. "O-okay," he finally said, shyly, as he timidly took the other's hand.
no subject
"Everything will be alright. You'll see." With that, he lead Kamui out of his room, hoping for some success..
