open log
When; Sunday, 12-17, evening, during Momo and Aizen's fight.
Rating; PG, more than likely.
Characters; Rangiku and Haineko, plus anyone that wants to find her.
Summary; Ran decides to keep an eye on the fight, but won't interfere.
Log;
Her steps were silent as she made her way to the edge of the shore. The fight was in full swing, but she didn't move any closer than where she was. Unless things got out of hand, she had no right to interfere. She'd told Momo she wouldn't try and protect her anymore, but she'd be damned if something happened to allow her friend to experiece death via the City.
Patient, she curled her legs under her and closed her eyes, reiatsu unfurled so she could keep tabs on what was going on.
It didn't take long for a gray shadow to join her.
You're far away, kitten.
The familiar nickname made blue eyes open a tiny bit; just enough to glare over at the spirit. "Don't call me that. I'm older than you are. Besides, I'm right here."
That isn't what I meant and you know it. Your soul is torubled.
She shrugged, knowing it was true. "It's been a rough few days."
Not days. Weeks. Since you came back. You've been on edge since then. It needs to stop... to be fixed.
Fixed... "And how, in your infinite wisdom, do you think it needs to be fixed?"

She didn't know what she would do. Would she interfere? That would not be fair to Hinamori. If she truly wanted to do this, what right did she have to intervene? None. But she was worried nonetheless. First Rangiku had died, then she... she wouldn't let anyone else. Not if she could help it.
The creation was not surprised to feel Rangiku's reiatsu, only followed it, eyes soft as she approached slowly.
"You too." She murmured, staring out at the two locked in combat.

"... couldn't stay away."
no subject
"Neither could I." Her voice was soft, as usual, but now soft because she almost felt that if she spoke loudly the two in question would hear.
"... Do you think she really did challenge him, as he told the ninja medic?" She wondered, but did not know the answer. Either way, she did know what that would mean either. If Hinamori had willingly entered battle with her ex-captain... Nemu did not know what that meant.

"Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me much if she did. Maybe she's finally grown tired of his constant lies to her... "
A soft sigh passed her lips. She was thinking that the truce she'd worked so hard trying to keep together was essentially null and void now.

"The truce... it is over?" Half question, half statement. She didn't like it, either way. If the truce was over... many things would change. More would probably die. She would never be able to hold conversation with Ulquiorra again, would probably have to fight Ulquiorra. And it would be pain and deaths again.
Fingers idly caressed the silent sword's hilt, eyes lidded, never taking her eyes off Hinamori and Aizen even as she spoke.

Haineko padded back over to them and settled next to her mistress, cool eyes turning to the fight.
"We can't beat him. Even the espada won't be easy to defeat, due to the limits on our power here."
no subject
She brushed her bangs from her eyes, fiddling, something she rarely did. Usually the woman could stand stock still for hours, only blinking.
"And our limits... they make it so even humans have chances against us."
no subject
"Isane and I are ready, and the ninja's medic has offered to help, if we need her."
She had her zanpakutou slung on her back as always, ready to release Minazuki as soon as she was needed.

"... Momo..." She whispered, covering her mouth with her hands in disbelief. She couldn't understand why this was happening, why it had to happen.
All she knew was that Itegumo was in her mind reassuring her softly, and she kept to Unohana-taichou's side. This couldn't... she didn't want to see Momo hurt again. She'd had to watch and help heal her and Hitsugaya-taichou before. She didn't want to have to see either or them broken and bloody again.

With his captain and Isane here, he didn't think he would be of any use incase Hinamori-san was hurt, but he had wanted to come. If anything, just to be there for her.
no subject
"I am afraid we may need all of your services before the night is done."

After nodding carefully to the newcomers, she brushed some dirt from her robes. "We can't allow open warfare between us here in the city. Too many would be in the same prediciment Nemu and I are in if we did..."

She watched the battle in silence for a moment.
"...Why did she do it?" It was a question that had been on her mind since she'd heard of Hinamori's challenge.
no subject
She didn't want her hurt, though. But... Momo wouldn't listen for that reason.
