Summary; Tayuya, seriously injured after her fight with certain Akatsuki members, is healed by Cobray, who is feeling rather gracious.
Log; Tayuya had found herself whisked to the Cathedral, golden pupils gazing up at stained glass and religious figures. She grimaced. Tayuya hated religion. She felt blood, knew their were injures, but with the curse seal pumping in her ears she felt no pain. But there was no fight any longer, and she gave a small sigh as she fought the seal for release, to have it let go of her. It did so reluctantly. Slowly her eyes retained their normal shades and her skin as well, horns retracting and other signs of her ogrish transformation dissipating. The pain didn't hit her until the seal pulsed once in retreat. A gasp was forced from her lips as she'd doubled over on the floor. Pain. She bit down hard on her lip to keep from crying out as all the pain in her injuries assaulted her at once. The blasted and burned skin of her chest, neck, and face. The melted fabric and hair in her skin. The bloodied, broken, and burned feet. The exhaustive pain normal with the recession of the seal, doubled since its upgrade. She squeezed her eyes shut, mouth open in silent cries as she transferred from numb to pain. It hurt. But... Cobray was coming. She didn't trust him but, he was coming. And right now she didn't care who the hell was coming as long as this pain, this pain, stopped. Writhing on the floor and struggling to keep quiet, she waited, though each second seemed forever.

Cobray packed what he needed into a plastic box. He only needed to kill the pain and move her into his room for treatment. He had quickly set up his scanning table for medical use. He didn't think surgery would be neccessary, but he was a scientist, so he doubted it would be a problem. Cobray nodded to himself and opened up a wormhole in front of himself and stepped through. He stepped out inside the church, to where Astranagun had located Tayuya. When he saw he condition, he gasped. He had only saw worse when Aya was almost crushed by the Vyclone. He rushed to her side and opened up his box. He pulled out a gun like object and stuck a bottle inside, where ammunition would have been located.

"I'm going to inject painkiller into your body. Is this alright?" Cobray asked calmly, hoping she wouldn't think he was going to shoot her.

Eyes widening, Tayuya was under that exact impression. It looked like nothing she wanted anything to deal with. But the pain was a big motivator, and though her back kept arching sporadically and she was sweating profusing, she managed to do something that could be a nod, unable to speak.

Cobray gave Tayuya a reassuring smile. He slowly put the tip of the gun against her arm and pulled the trigger. The loud hiss of the compressed air filtered out as the painkiller was injected through her skin. He put the gun back in the case and pulled out a flat square and unfolded it onto the ground, creating a long rectangle.

"When you stop feeling the pain, let me know. Then we can continue."

She hissed when the device pressed the pain killer into her arm, managing to close her mouth and bite her lip instead. The curse seal was fighting her for control again, wanting out because she wanted it out, too. Wanted it to come and take the pain away now, take away the burning and the gaping hole in her chest now. But she fought it back, horns growing and retreating from her skull, black lines racing and returning from the seal. Slowly, it seemed an eternity, she began to feel less pain, and she began to slowly try and say it was lessening, though she couldn't tell if it came out right.

Cobray glanced at her neck. So that was what everone of the leaf ninja meant by curse seal. He would have to belay his interest for the time being. He heard Tayuya mumble something, so he assumed it was an affirmative. He activated the portable air bed he had rolled out. Gently, Cobray lifted Tayuya a little off the floor and rested her on the bed. The air kept her floating in midair as he began to pull it backwards. He opened up another wormhole and teleported both of them back into his room.

Tayuya did not enjoy wormholes, but she was in no place to protest, eyes dull and lungs tired of panting and gasping for breath. She looked around, eyes wild, trying to ascertain her new location.

Quickly, Cobray laid the air bed onto the scanner table. He hooked his computer into the jack and began to look at the information given to him. It was completely off the scale. Well, it was best to start at the legs and feet. He brought down an odd instrument and placed it near Tayuya's feet. A red light shown onto her feet.

"This may hurt a little." Suddenly, the bones in her body twisted to where they were supposed to be and locked together. Quickly, they mended and were as good as new.

She bucked at the sudden sensation of bones reknitting into place, but she managed to calm herself enough to lay still, settling for hissing through gritted teeth at the sensation, which was not at all pleasant. "What... the fuck..." Tayuya managed to blurt out between thin lips, eyes vainly trying to focus.

"That was just the feeling of all your bones healing at once. This next step will feel very very good." Cobray pulled up a small hose. He hit a button and the sides of the bed raised upwards. He positioned the hose over her body and activated it. A green oozed poured out and covered her body from neck to toe. It was very cool to the touch. The ooze quickly sealed up her wounds, stopped the bleeding, and began to heal the burns across her body.

Tayuya's face managed to contort from one of pain to one more of disgust, watching and lips trying to twist into a sneer. That was just fucking nasty. She squirmed slightly, as if trying to get away, still biting her lower lip and watching Cobray carefully, trying to hold on to consciousness.

"Alright. I am finished. Now you have a choice to make. You can lay here for an hour and allow me to speed up time on the healing process, or you can go normally and lay here for a day. If you choose the hour, it will grant you some time to sleep and refill whatever energy you lost. No matter what choice you choose to make, I will sit here at the bedside and make sure nothing goes wrong." Cobray explained this with his normal blank face.

"..." Tayuya muttered a low sting of curses, unable to make her throat rise abouve that volume. Finally, she closed her eyes uneasily, hoping at least Greed would also keep an eye on Cobray. "... an hour."

Cobray nodded and sat down beside her bed. For the next hour, he ran through previous fights in his head, trying to pick ever valuable information from them. When the hour was up, he stood up again. He bent over the bed and looked directly into Tayuya's eyes. "You are healed now. I'm now going to peel the biofoam off your body. Your clothing will have been dissolved by the foam. I have a spare robe on the floor here beside me. I will close my eyes while you take care of yourself." Cobray put his hands on the edges of the hardened foam and closed his eyes. He slowly pulled it back and waited for Tayuya to ready herself.

Tayuya wanted to go back to sleep, to lapse back into the blissful blank unconsciousness of her post-seal exhaustion, but she opened her eyes, listened dimly, and rolled over, fumbling for the robe and clumsily donning it. The lack of pain was welcome, but barely noticed at this point, and merely sat up, eyes blank and lidded.

Cobray stared at her, his eyes still probing at her neck. He really wanted to know what that seal did. However, there was no point in asking. So Cobray brought his hand up and poked his finger straight up in the air. "Do you want me to take you to your apartment, or would you rather stay here with Greed or someone else you trust until you feel good enough to travel by yourself? And at any rate, the only payment I expect from you is information. I will be asking you some questions later, I assure you."

"..." She opened her mouth, struggling to force her brain to work quick enough to process everything he was saying. The curse seal left her dazed and weak afetrwards, even without injury, but she recognized a few things, and knew she couldn't let Orochimaru-sama know. "Greed." She finally murmured.

"Affirmative." Cobray gently grabbed her forearm and lead her out of his room and down the hallway to Greed's room, where should could rest to her hearts content.

The sound ninja allowed herself to be lead, stumbling every now and then but never falling. Her eyes kept threatening to close, and the minute she reached a soft surface she just collapsed onto it, nevermind it was Greed's bed, and lapsed into deep sleep caused by the still pulsing seal on the nape of her neck.
