LOG; ongoing
When; Dec 25th
Rating; PG-13?
Characters; Jyabura [
maten_rou] and Robin [
blackhibiscus]
Summary; It's Christmas and Jyabura doesn't have anyone to celebrate it with. Robin just happens to have some free time~
Log;
Before she even knew it, Robin found herself in front of building 9 in the freezing cold; clutching the iron doorknob with a worried feeling that almost bordered unwillingness. She knew who she was here for, but she also knew who also lived in this particular building. Even though that inhabitant was gone for a while, she still didn’t like being around building 9 at all. It felt like she could have a claw shoved up her throat any minute, especially caused by her increased feeling of vulnerability since the past weeks. Dying was now definitely the last thing she wanted.
She took a deep breath and opened the door, knowing that no one was going to come and kill her; but still, she was cautious. She quickly paced through the sober hall to reach apartment 36 as quickly as possible; she didn’t want to spend more time in the hall than necessary.
She opened the door and promptly closed it behind it while doing so, glancing across the apartment with a smile. Plants. Lots of plants. She hadn’t expected anything else, really.
She walked around the apartment for a few moments before sitting down on a stray chair; she’d just wait for him to come back, then.

Whatever, at least it was warm here. He just came back from the warehouse to visit Cal for Christmas and though he really liked that guy very much, the warehouse was just absolutely no option for celebrating Christmas longer than, say, an hour or so. With some snowflakes melting in his hair he tried to open the door to his apartment, which was quite the task with arms full of presents.
"I hope you didn't wait too long" he said without even seeing her yet. Of course he knew Robin was there already, how wonderful it was to get back the best sense ever... He closed the door somehow, walked in and started to put all the stuff on the table, including a plushcat he gave a very sceptical look to. "Don't ask about that thing, I found some funny friends here..." he said with a grin while opening up a thermos flask and filling up a cup with some warm liquid. "They have a weird sense of humour" he added while handing her over the cup with a smile. Tea.
He sat on the sofa. Weird situation. Not uncomfortable, but really weird.

She sipped her tea quietly for a few seconds and looked at the stash of presents, honestly surprised by the amount of friends he had. But then again, considering his nature, how couldn't he have many friends? Except she never saw that until a short time ago.
Friends with strange humour, indeed. She put her cup down on the table, took the stuffed animal and put it on her lap, playing with its paws while an amused smile split her face. Well, it was kind of cute, even if it was a cat.
"Who'd give you such a thing? I hope it wasn't Naoto-san."

"I hope you got something nice from your friends" he said while trying to rub his hands warm, "I didn't get the chance to get you something. The day I wanted to, I prefered running around like an idiot pretending to be a puppy again..." While this curse was by far the most embarassing yet, it was most probably the funniest day ever. But he'd never admit that.
He saw her playing around with the cat. "Keep it if you like. The person who gave it to me expects to see it torn apart, so that's just fair."
no subject
"Yes, actually more than I had expected. They've been very kind this year." she said while eyeing the bracelet around her wrist. She really didn't deserve it after all the lies and disappointment she had brought her friends.
"To be honest, I didn't get you anything either; so we're even. I feel a bit guilty now, though, since this cat is rather cute." she chuckled.

"Wasn't she at some Christmas party with you today?" While he felt sorry for her being kind of dumped once more by that bastard, Naoto was in first line quite dangerous by sharing a flat with Lucci. He had to admit that Naoto had a sort of positive effect on him, but he was as sure that Lucci also had an effect on her, and surely not a positive one. "I could imagine she was quite interested in the relationship between us. Though, maybe she wasn't in the right mood today. That bastard again..." Amazing how that fucker was able to ruin everything by simply not being here.

"She didn't ask anything at all and I think it won't be a surprise to you that I felt rather disconcerted by this. I expected many questions, but apparently she was still a bit depressed because of what happened the other day." Maybe she should have considered herself lucky, but she knew that Naoto wasn't that kind of a person.
"At least she doesn't know about my pregnancy yet. My nakama know now... I only hope that they will manage to keep silent about this for a while."
no subject
"As for Naoto...", he leaned back into the sofa, "she probably thinks I'm still going to kill you or the like. She must be pretty worried about you, I guess. Now that I'm not going to harm you, that would be no problem." He pondered for a while quietly. "But she could tell Lucci that I'm too much in contact with you as a man who is supposed to kill you. He's not going to be amused about that either way", he added with an annoyed tone. "It's in his nature as a cat to be a pesky little plague", he finished, but rather annoyed than worried.

She took another sip and sighed. Even if her nakama would support her in any situation, this was special. She still had to see their real opinion about it, especially Sanji's.
"Naoto is smarter than that. I think she has figured out by now that something else is going on between us, and there is a large possibility that she'll tell Lucci soon. We'll have to await the consequences of that. And even though I don't want to say it, I'm scared. We know what that man is capable of." she added in a sad tone, a worried frown appearing on her face while she thought about that day she wanted to forget.
no subject
"Just why on earth would she tell him that? I mean, you're friends with her, she has to know that she brings you in danger with everything she reveals to that bastard. She better keeps her mouth shut" he said angered. That damn brat just made the whole situation far more complicated. He didn't think Naoto was stupid, but he couldn't come up with even one reason why she fell for a piece of garbage like Lucci. Especially after he treated her like shit once more. Wait, maybe she was just stupid.
He gave Robin an unimpressed look. 'Scared'. He was never scared of Lucci. Ever. He hated him, he was annoyed by him, but never scared, though he knew very well he was stronger than himself. Being scared of someone is a sign of respect, and respect was something way too precious to waste on something like a stupid cat. To him, Lucci was in first instance a huge, stinking cat with spots, for God's sake. Followed by being merely nothing and then a really big annoyance.
"You don't need to be scared of him" he finally said like it was the most natural thing in the world and not the slightest sign of concern or fear in his voice.
no subject
"And why shouldn't I be scared of Lucci? He wants me to see me dead, and he can easily kill me if we ever cross paths; that's reason enough to be scared." she said, trying to shut the thoughts of all the things he could do to her out of her mind. She didn't want to have conversations like these during Christmas.
no subject
"Oh I can tell you why. First off, there is this rubber boy who kicked his ass not too long ago mighty good", he admitted. "Kitty won't forget that one. And that cook of yours is... not bad either." which was at least horribly understated. "And I wouldn't bet on that 'easily', you're quite the opposite of weak, no matter if you're currently in that special state or not. Plus, you could outsmart him anytime, trust me on that. Oh, and you surely made some weird friends in this City too who are willing to help you out anytime."
He stood up, took the cup out of her hand and pulled her over to the sofa to sit next to him. "And if this still ain't enough, well I'm still here too. I won't allow him to do you any harm. I'll pull out all of his whiskers one by one..." he said with an excited grin like he couldn't await to do so. "Being cautious and all that is ok, but that fucker gets far more respect than he's worth it, and I don't give a fuck about what's he's capable of, you know? Christ, he's just a big cat, nothing more."
no subject
She smiled brightly and mused that she'd probably pay to see that, even though she wasn't that sadistic. Oh well, it'd all be for a good cause, would it ever happen.
no subject
"Though, I expected a little more concern about my well-being from you, now that we finally get along..." he said joking while laying an arm around her hip. "Not that I like to admit it, but killing him off will probably end up in a few minor bruises for me."
He put his chin on her shoulder and gave her a tricksy look. "You could even pretend to be worried, that would be enough."
no subject
"Does this mean that I'll have to worry about you?" she added in a teasing manner while playing with his hair. "I hope you're relieved to know that it won't be faked."
no subject
"Well, worrying means caring, and that's never a bad thing. And I actually am. Especially if I think about what you'd have done to me if I tried this, say, a week ago." He wrapped both his arms around her. "I'd had more than some minor bruises, I'm pretty damn sure..." He couldn't repress a very amused grin about the sudden change of the whole situation.
no subject
He had a point, though. Right now, she didn't mind at all, but she couldn't imagine what she would've done just a few days before. Strange how things can change so fast, especially between two persons who wanted to kill each other just a mere month ago.
"I'm sure that you wouldn't even had given me the chance of lifting a finger, hm?" she teased with a slight grin.
no subject
"But of course, how I'm supposed to kill and how I actually like doing it, well..." With one hand he brushed aside her hair and started biting along her neck, but far away from doing it rude or painful. "...that would be an entirely different matter."
He pulled her over to sit on his lap facing him, making it quite obvious that he wasn't interested in talking anymore too much for today. Stroking her hips only intensified that intention. Hey, Christmas was all about love and stuff, right?
"We can talk about how I'd kill you tomorrow, if you want to. As for today, I'd prefer how to please you, does that sound like an option to you? And don't mind staying for breakfast, I make quite good coffee..."
no subject
She thought it was kind of funny, really. Especially considering the huge paradox it was; a CP9 agent seducing a notorious "enemy" of the World Government? He'd probably be hanged back in their world. Oh well, that only made it more fun, so why not enjoy it while it lasts?
She chuckled for a moment and rested her forehead against his while her hands crept up his chest. "But luckily for you, I'm not "most women"."
no subject
"You are definitely one of a kind" he said and switched his head to the side to give her a kiss. "But then, I don't dare disagreeing such a pretty girl, and least in that kind of situation" he added and let his hands wander under her top, stroking her stomach and lower ribcage.
