Characters; Ed [livejournal.com profile] deduced and Al [livejournal.com profile] kitty_elric
Summary; Al goes to fetch Ed.
Log; Al had left the butcher store in record time once he found out that Ed was in the city. He'd been alone in the butcher shop for a few days, so the ticking had begun to annoy him, the fact that Ed was back and that he wouldn't have to be alone left the teen quite joyful.

He crossed the city at a jog, grateful that he had continued Izumi's training regimen even after she left. He didn't want to be out of shape. He made it to the theater in good time, his red jacket, a perfect replica of Ed's old one waving behind him to ward off the cold. It had been altered for the winter weather, Al having transmuted a layer for insulation, and the same had been done to his gloves.

As he reached the theater house he looked around for Ed, and after a moment, spotted the familiar golden hair and ran over. "Brother!"

This had to be one of the weirdest days he'd ever had. Turning up in a completely new city, only to be told it had something to do with other worlds. And not only that, but people had appeared from other times from his own world. And the ticking. That god dammed ticking that just didn't seem to want to stop.

But the icing on the proverbial cake had come the very moment he'd found the one person that mattered in this entire mess. Al was there. Only...

"A-Al?" Golden eyes were wide with a mix of shock and relief. Al was fine. He was safe. And he was also...back to normal.

He could do nothing more than simply stand there in silence as Al made his way over. He just...couldn't believe it. This was his brother. The same brother who'd been stuck inside a suit of armour for years on end. And now he was somehow normal again.

Or as normal as he could be considering the fact that Ed was still having to look up at him. The giggling was enough to snap him out of his stupor, a glare soon replacing his confusion. "Who the hell said you could grow taller then me?!" The fact he actually had a body that could grow was put in second place just then.
