Log: in progress
When; Wednesday night, almost a full day after body-switching
Rating; PG
Characters; Eiko
moonlit_jewel, Nicol
aubade_daybreak and Athrun
giustizia_rosso
Summary; Eiko comes over to their apartment in Building #11 to heal Nicol's wounds!
Log;
"It's getting hot... would you like a fan?"
"I'm fine, Athrun."
Relaxing at the sight of Nicol's gentle smile, Athrun returned to his seat beside the bed. He was angry with that Onigiri boy yes, angry at his irresponsibility, his lack of concern for others, angry with him for putting Nicol's body in such danger. Athrun lowered his gaze to the sheets where Nicol's hands rested, clasped together in quiet content.
But most of all, he was angry with himself for not being able to prevent that - again.
Athrun started out of his reverie when he heard shy raps on the door. What was he doing? This wasn't the time for such thoughts; Nicol's health should be his first concern. It was the least he could do to make up for his absence then. Flashing a smile at his friend, the young Coordinator rose from the seat to receive their guest. Probably Eiko, he thought with some fondness as he laid his hand on the doorknob, prompt as always.

It wasn't like she was a stranger to this, Gaea had the same rules, but the little summoner became concerned when even her weakest spells took heavy tolls on her small frame. Her spirit was slowly breaking. Her hopes were fading. And her since of pride as a summoner and a white mage, one of the best to boot, was crumbling before her eyes. But she didn't let any of it bother her. Clutching her flute dearly with small hands and with a smile on her face she await for the door to open.
'Grandpa. Mog. I won't let this get to me!' Eiko told herself. 'I won't. I'm gonna be strong. I'm not gonna let others down. I'll be their hope. I'm the last summoner!'

Stepping aside, he gestured towards the inside of the apartment. "Thank you for coming, Eiko," he said with a small smile of gratitude. "Nicol's in his room... would you like a drink?"

Nicol did not recall having been fussed over like this for a long time, and at risk of feeling just a little selfish, he could not deny that it felt wonderful. Really, he ought to be the one making compensations for his inability to provide more help, both in death and in this City, yet here he was, cared for and looked after by the person he admired above all his peers. It gave him a bubbling, soaring sense of joy that he could not describe.
Above his reverie he heard an exchange between Athrun's rich tenor, and a soft, delicate voice which he assumed was Eiko's. It was much higher than he had expected, and he happily anticipated meeting Athrun's friend, this little summoner.

With purple locks bounced in tune with Eiko's light steps and swaying her arms back and forth a flute in hand, the little girl bound her way to the entrance of Nicol's room. Little fist tapped on the door frame to let Nicol know that she would be entering soon. "Mister Nicol?" A shy head peeped through the entrance.
