When; The day the evil butterflies invaded!
Rating; G, might go up for swearing, maybe?
Characters; Winry and Al, open to Ed if he wants to join.
Summary; While fighting off the evil menace, Winry is reunited with her boys.
Log;
Wham!
Whack!
THUNK!
With a flick of her wrist, Winry Rockbell reduced swarms of the nasty Teases into piles of dust. Waving her massive wrench at them, daring as if to say "just you try it, buddy", she smiled wickedly. If only Ed and Al could see her now, holding her own against the evil creatures, they'd be hard pressed to label her a burden. Winry was, after all, descendant of the much-feared Pinako Rockbell, a woman who could put even the largest and scariest of men in their place! She could be downright scary herself when necessary.
"I just want to get to my apartment! Out of my way!" Charging towards her building and taking out half a dozen more of them along the way, she stopped finally when she reached the porch, taking a minute to catch her breath. If only it weren't so dangerous to be out, she would have taken more time in her search to find the Elric brothers...

"Winry...!" He was about to run towards her when his head was attacked by a swarm of thirty angry butterflies who proceeded to eat his coat. "What th- Get off of me, please!!" No matter what the situation Al still managed to ask please.

Her guts steeled, Winry tightened her grip on her wrench and flew to her childhood friend's side, at least managing to swat away the pests long enough for her to grab Al by the sleeve and drag him to safety. Once they were behind the door of the building of her apartment, she heaved a great sigh of relief.
"Al!" Her hand still gripped his sleeve tightly, as if he would vanish if she let go. "I've been looking all over for you and your brother!" Tears formed in her eyes and she couldn't help it when she flung herself at him and hugged him. "I was afraid I'd never see you again."

"Of course I'd see you again, you're always going to see Nii-san and I again!" Al put on a big smile and tried to reassure her. He honestly had thought for a while though that he'd never see her or his brother again though.

"We're all three of us stuck in this place now, though. Right? And I hear there's no way out..." Wiping the tears from her eyes she smiled. Maybe things would be different now, whether they liked it or not. "So I guess you two are stuck with me for at least a little while!"

He knew that no one had escaped the city yet as well but didn't want to give up hope either. "We'll find a way out, Winry... It'll just take some time." He laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head. "I think it's more like you're stuck babysitting us... I'll apologize now if we do anything reckless and life threatening."

Picking up a piece of automail from the floor, that she had been working on each night before bed, she took it to her worktable. Just a few more tweaks here and there, and she'd have a brand new arm and leg ready for Ed. A model that was even lighter and more durable than the last. Winry had always been as passionate about this automail as she was passionate about the person attached to it; perhaps she'd take this chance, stuck in this city together, to make the boys realize just how much they meant to her. Even if her crying and begging this time was met with the same result, she'd at least be able to sleep a bit better at night knowing she tried.
And tried. And tried. Over and over again.
"Let me finish this real quick... it'll only take me a minute. Then we can go find Ed. Okay?"
