Summary; Hundreds of Teases are infiltrating the underground!
V calls for help in dealing with the hundreds of little winged menaces, and is attempting to exterminate the lot of them without resorting to explosives ( Due to it being a subway the force from the explosion(s) would have nowehere to go except down the tunnels which are filled with people, trains, and V and Evey's home.)

((OOC: It seemed like a few people wanted to join the fray, so I figured I'd start a log and give them the oppurtunity if they wanted it. ^^; ))

Log;

"Bugger!" V exclaimed as one of the persuing flock of teases managed to attatch itself to his person and nibble on his mangled leather gloves.

A quick flash of steel and the offending creature fell into two neat fluttering halves.

He had put out a call for assistance just after leaving Evey barricaded in the great room with several bottles of liquor, a can of WD-40 and a lighter, but was unsure if he could keep luring the creatures through side tunnels long enough for some of the cities' other inhabitants to arrive and offer what assistance they may.

Well, at least the goal of luring them away from Evey had worked (the beasts seemed to have a rather disturbing fixation on her?)

This particular flock had been chasing ( and on occasion, catching) him for nearly a half hour, and though advanced speed and reflexes were on V's side, he was starting to feel the toll that running flat out for so long takes on a body.

'Time ,agian , to lose them', he thought to himself..

Panting, V rounded the corner junction of maintenence tunnel A-1 and A-3....and stopped dead.

The air was a seething swarm of black wings, as hundreds of the carnivorous devils moved as one great dark cloud...blotting out the tunnel track lights one at a time in a stygian wave, while the persuing flock behind him now rushed to join thier brethren in feasting on the vigilante's flesh.

...."Bollocks".....

The swarms were fast, impossible for him to follow with his one eye. His left eye was covered by a mat of thick hair and by the patch, leaving a massive blind spot for the insects to take advantage of. But, in spite of this, they could not avoid the razor sharp edge of the nameless sword as it cut a whistling note through the air. The Teases were falling out of the air around him in flocks. The vagabond twisted again, slicing through the hordes as they flew closer.

The sword is an extension of the soul... An extension of one's very being... Clear the mind, let the blade do as it pleases...

As fast as they were, even half-blind, he could track the erratic flight patterns of the swarm surrounding him quickly enough. One group would swarm in, while a second group would hang back a half second before it too attacked. They would attack, switch groups and attack again. But the insect creatures kept misjudging the distance that the vagrant's sword cut, kept wandering too close to the deceptive whirling blade as it sang through the air.

The vagrant paused for a moment. Not only to give himself a small break in between the constant slashing and to allow more of the bugs to gather, but also to listen for a possible end to the onslaught. He was breathing heavily at this point. Still, the sounds of beating insect wings echoed from ever alleyway and building top. The whole of his evening had been a series of darting around the strange city, trying to avoid being eaten, attacking in the dark, under the chewed remnants of streetlights... Constantly hearing the sounds of wings.

And that was when the sounds of distant battle echoed from somewhere in the city. His shoulders and back ached, a dull throb. He needed to rest, fighting along side someone would at least take some of the pressure off of him. He listened carefully, ignoring a sudden sharp pain in his elbow as something chewed a hole in his flesh. The sounds were coming from beneath his feet? He glanced at his feet, a manhole.

Sewers? No, not sewers...

His eye scanned the area. There was a subway tunnel entrance less than ten yards away. Someone was down in the sewers, sounded like a man... Metal on stone, daggers? No, throwing knives. The sharp pain increased in his elbow. The vagrant swore, darted his hand out and smashed the bug at his elbow. His fingers came away bloody. He sprinted quickly in the direction of the subway, ignoring the bugs as they continued to dart around him, biting and chewing his clothing, hair and any exposed skin.

Even before he had spotted the other man, the scent of human blood filled his nostrils. There was a trail of red mingled with the black insect things. The vagrant snorted and nearly spat onto the ground to clear his senses. But he stopped mid-hock when the man spoke, suddenly recalling his manners. He feigned a cough, twisted and cut through several of his pursuers.

The man shouted for him to follow, the vagabond turned with a silent nod, but stopped in his tracks again when the man's face come into focus. No, it was not a face. A mask. His felt oddly wary of the masked man.

Don't be a fool, he's hurt. He needs help. He shook his head, forcing aside his discomfort.

He grunted low, pushing himself forward onto the platform to stand near the man. "Understandable."

The vagrant ground his teeth, snarling wordlessly. Then with a sudden shout, stomped his foot down hard as he lunged passed the masked V, executing a downward slice and eviscerating several of the creatures. He twisted sideways, carving a path through the air.

"Hotta." He grunted, stomping down on another of the creatures. "Ieyasu Hotta."

He turned and eyed the man's hands. "Hmph... How bad are those?"

Eric was moving fast through the city with the best that he had found a large kitchen knife, he did really need to invest into seeing if this place has shops and such cause He needed to make that apartment liveable, even for whatever kind of creature he may be now. looking up to the sky as he watched the crow swooping down now and then attacking a single Tease at a time.

Eric made his way by rooftimes having descovered his new found powers didnt really end with the advanced healing when the city had lead him to the railways he jumped off the roof he was on dashing inside as the bird followed him, slashing at another of the infernal creatures.

Making his way in more and slashing as they got close he moved to the edge of thr tracks looking at the clock before jumping down, like he knew when the trains ran if it showed up he was screwed end of story.

he gave a loud whistle when he didnt see the bird anymore, with mind distracted one of the Tease's latched onto his arm "Mother Fuc..." being cut off by the large crow swooping down getting the tease by the wings flying off, grabbing up the kitchen knife again he headed down the tunnels again keeping his mind on slashing and finding V and Evey before they are dinner for the butterflies.
