Not being too interested in the water, Amadeus wordlessly moved a few steps farther from the water (not that it helped) and directed his attention to the friend Rabi had brought along. "If Evelynne doesn't mind, may I ask your name before she remembers it?"

Admittedly, part of it was to rile Evelynne up and get her to do something, though it occurred to him that it might defeat the "destressing" purpose of the trip. If he knew Ev though, the only way to end the stress for her was to get her to play a little, and the more relaxed side of Evelynne only came around after some extent of aggravation.

That was what he guessed after knowing her that many years anyway. He wouldn't mind knowing the man's name either.
