Log;

Rudy had been out exploring most of the day. He wondered what had gotten into most of the people he saw - after all, it was only Valentine's day, not international "fuck the first thing you see" day...

He got home later than he expected.
"Sorry, Dex, I'm back now," Rudy said while tossing his blazer to the side and plopping himself on the couch.

-

"Biney!" Dexter shouted as his big brother entered the apartment. He was sitting on the couch with his laptop. He closed it immediately. "I'm glad you're home. I'm real hyper today, can't figure out why,"

He watched as Rudy sat down, "I'm incredibly bored. I don't know what to do with myself." He frowned, "I almost cleaned the fridge out today, eating pork sandwiches because there was nothing else to do..."

-

"Pork sandwiches? Sounds good to me, I'm starving." Rudy stretched out on the couch, thinking of how wonderful it was to be with his brother. He hadn't been this calm in such a long time - he felt refreshed from the free nature of their relationship.

With a sudden burst of energy, Rudy tackled Dexter.

-

Dexter had good reflexes, but wasn't expecting this at all. What had gotten into his brother?

He actually didn't mind, he was in a playful mood, for once, and was going to take advantage of it. He laughed, he felt like a kid again, trying to turn the tables on his big brother and pin him down for a change. Hey, he could take Doakes, he was sure he stood a good chance against his brother too.

-

"What energy Dexter has," Rudy thought while laughing. Feeling a bit drained from hunger, Dexter pinned him easily. From Rudy's point of view, Dexter looked angelic with the innocent laughter...

Rudy pushed his hair out of his face and tried to sit up.
"How about the pork sandwiches?"

-

Dexter smiled, "I'll make you one, but I'm stuffed," he said standing up. "I had like 5 before you got here."

He headed over to the kitchen and got out the necesities, a plate, knife, bread, meat, cheese, etc. He then washed his hands and began to make his brother's sandwich.

"So how was your day?" he asked casually.

-

Observing Dexter, Rudy felt something he hadn't felt in a while: the satisfaction of fulfilling the need, the craving. Oh, how he wanted more...
He wondered what it was exactly that made him this way.

"It was alright, I was just out for a while, scoping out the city. Kind of weird, to tell you the truth, and I got a weird vibe today. Everyone seemed to be eyefucking everyone else..."

-

"You felt that too?" he said, with a chuckle, looking back to his brother. "The Network's going CRAZY." he continued, putting the finishing touches on Rudy's sandwich.

He sliced it in half and brought it to his brother. "Here you go," he said, sitting back down on the couch.

"I think it's one of those curse days, they always cause trouble here, but I don't mind them. Gives the city a source of entertainment." He wasn't sure if he, himself, was cursed or not. He felt strange, but couldn't describe it, because it was nothing like he ever felt before.

-

Rudy picked up the sandwich, excited to be eating what seemed to be delicious. Keeping one eye on the sandwich and one eye on his brother, Rudy said, "That's weird. Must be related to Valentine's day or something..."

He took a bite and the pork was fantastic. He tried to savor it, but ended up scarfing it down.

He thought maybe that would calm his urge, but it only got stronger.

-

Dexter watched his brother as he ate, wondering if he was feeling weird too.
"Hey Brian..." Dex said hesitantly, "I'm feeling a little funny today, can't explain it, not bad, just...strange." He paused, "Do you feel it?" he asked, "I mean, do you think the city's effecting us too?"

-

He took a napkin and wiped his hands and face.

"Do you mean that nagging urge to kill? Except...it's not to kill?" Rudy gave his brother a look that could have been confused with pent-up anger and frustration.
Without warning, Rudy reached for Dexter's face and pulled him close, face to face.

"Is it an urge that comes straight from your groin?"

-

"What?" Dexter raised an eyebrow, confused, "I-" he was cut off when Rudy pulled him closer.

"I can't explain it," he managed to get out, "But, yeah, I.....I guess so?!"
He was kind of worried. Rudy seemed angry, and he wasn't sure why. 'What did I do now?' he wondered.

-

Not knowing what came over him, Rudy kissed Dexter. A long, painful kiss.

-

Dexter flinched, but then relaxed a bit. This was new.

It reminded him of nights with Rita, only...different...better.
He didn't feel this way when kissing Rita. She was, after all, only his mask. This felt right.

Dexter returned the kiss, wrapping his arms around his brother's back.

-

He broke from the kiss, looking a little sheepish.
"Sorry, I'm sure my breath smells like pork. It was rather delicious, but I'm sure an aftertaste is a little...crude."

"Oh, why the hell are you bringing up your breath right now? What is wrong with you?" Rudy thought.

"Do you want to continue elsewhere?" He couldn't stop the words from coming out of his mouth, especially without a smug look on his face...

-

Dexter didn't mind, in fact, he didn't even realize he was nodding.

-

He felt himself get up and take Dexter by the hand, but Rudy felt nothing but love for his brother. Not unrequitted love, but true love.

Leading Dexter to the bed, Rudy tossed him onto the soft sheets and carressed Dexters beautiful face. Rudy noted how innocent he looked.

-

Dexter felt like he was in a trance. Was this real, or one of his dark dreams? How disappointing it would be if it was. He let Rudy lead him to the bedroom, Rudy's hands were warm, and he felt safe, loved.
