With a sigh as she ran a hand through obsidion locks, the small shinigami made her way down the hallway to the door carrying the number fixed in her head. It wasn't as though it was that far, being in the same building. Adjusting her shihakushou, she smoothed her hair and knocked on the door.

Though he'd had a great deal on his mind lately---Sousuke, his illness, the offer---there was nothing in any world that would make him too busy to see any of his subordinates and/or loved ones.

Rising from the couch at the knock (he'd been reading), Jyuushirou tucked his handkerchief away in his sleeve, padding to the door and opening it. He really didn't look much like the captain of the thirteenth division with his yukata, bare feet, and his hair pulled up into a twist at the back of his head. In fact, he didn't look like much of anything so much as an invalid. The smile he gave Rukia, though, was bright and warm.

"Rukia," he greeted, stepping back to allow her in and closing the door gently behind her. "It's good to see you. How are you?"

Back stiffened as the door swung open to reveal the familiar face of her captain, looking...not how she was used to seeing him. The plain cotton yukata and twisted hair were strange to the girl, who'd only seen her superior officer in his usual uniform before. But, regardless of the slight oddity of the situation, he was still a captain and so she still conducted herself as such. With a curt nod, she followed him in, standing rather stiffly as he closed the door.

"Ukitake-taichou, thank you for allowing me to visit. I'm....well. And yourself?"
