Log;

Octavius led the Spartan King up the steps of the apartment complex. After showing Leonidas the city, he had promised the man a place to stay for the night. "My room is right down this hall," he said to the man, pointing ahead of him.

As he got the the door he composed himself, "My room-mates are probably home, don't judge them by appearance, they are good men." With that, he opened the door with a small key he had attached to his belt. "I'm home!" he said with a raised voice, entering the apartment. "and I have a guest!"

Leonidas nodded. He had been able to gaze upon the disfigured form of Ephialtes without showing the slightest sign of revulsion or disgust. After all of the bloodshed, and death combined with that and the hideous countenance of the Ephors, Leonidas decided that there was probably nothing that could faze him now.

"You seem to be a good judge of character, Octavius. I trust your judgement," he told the Roman, following him into a home unlike anything he had seen. Carpet was all over the floor, and strange cushioned chairs and a polished table were placed strategically around the room. A strange black shiny object stood on a pedestal, and Leonidas hid his confusion and skepticism carefully, acting as if this weren't the strangest place he had been to in his life and that it were all perfectly natural.

Jed had been in the kitchen, attempting to cook (and failing horribly) when Octavius returned, shouting about a guest. He turned off the oven, tossing the ruined dish in the sink before he pulled the apron off and over his head, musing his hair before he strode out to see who Octavius had brought home.

The cowboy could only blink momentarily as he discovered that, to his surprise, it was another Roman. Jed wondered idily if it was another Spartan, and knowing Octavius, it probably was. He didn't know there were any other Romans in the City...perhaps he was a new arrival.

One way or another, the man was their guest now. Jed put an honest to goodness smile on his face, and strode forward to meet them. "S'about time yew got back. Where ya been?" he asked, eyes flitting from one Roman to the other.

Ahkmen had long since fled the kitchen, all but fearing for his life by Jed's enthusiasm for destroying most of the dishes in his attempt to make some kind of sustenance. Instead, he had taken to the spare bedroom he would be calling home for the next little while, adjusting this and that, tweaking things until the place was to his liking. Though- the bed he was still unsure about. It was incredibly soft and, after laying in a sarcophagus for millenia, Ahkmen was finding it difficult to adjust to such a drastic change.

He was distracted, though, by Octavius shouting his arrival, and setting down his headdress on the bureau, the pharaoh left the room, heading down the hall to meet with the others, a curious look on his face- though he said nothing.

Leonidas inclined his head in respect to Jedediah, but his eyes narrowed and his grip tightened on his spear slightly as Ahkmen entered the room. In Leonidas' time, Egypt had been conquered by the Persians, and so he could only wonder what Octavius was doing letting a Persian into his home. But, before he could say anything, he remembered what Octavius had said about his friends and that he was from a different empire, and a different time. Perhaps Leonidas' people freed the Egyptians from their bondage and enslavement...and if that were the case, then Ahkmen Ra was a friend, not foe.

Leonidas nodded to the egyptian pharoah, removing his helmet and setting it beside Octavius', placing his bloodstained shield and spear against the wall. He kept his sword on him, not because he did not trust these men, but because one never knew when fighting would be required.

"Greetings to you both," Leonidas told them. "I thank you for allowing me to enter your home. It has been a very strange morning, to say the least."
