Log;

Tayuya thought being back in the City was fucked. It was great, but boy, was it fucked. Nothing had changed since she left and somehow ended back up there. It had only gotten worse, she guess, which… was no change. Naoto was still here, so was Lyra, Greed, Jaggerjack…

But one bit of news had given her pause. Bloodsucker had offed himself? What the fuck? Sacrifices aside, the Sound ninja found that damn annoying. Suicide? … Irritating. So she was about to find his ass.

It was hard. Tracking never was, she was a ninja, loud and brash as she could be. And silent she could be as well, dropping down beside him with only the soft rustle of her uniform, a frown on her face.

“Bloodsucker.”

Kamui merely blinked for a moment, having been too lost in his thoughts as he'd wandered the city, not ready to see his brother just yet. "Tayuya? It's been a while..." He obviously wasn't even fazed by the fact he'd just come back from the dead; that he was now stuck in this place forever. "How have you been?"

“Dead.” She shot back, still frowning. What the hell- He’d just fucking died hadn’t he? What was this shit, acting all calm and-

“Like you.” Her voice was affecting a bit of an angry tone, arms crossed beneath her breasts and standing in a manner that even suggested her mood.

Like he cared about his own death; it was something he didn't regret in the least. He'd died for his brother, it was simple as that. It was something he would do over and over, if he had to.

"Yup. But you were gone a lot longer than a mere day. How did you die?" His tone was light and airy: casual, and something odd considering the subject at hand. No big deal.

No big deal? Bullshit.

The Sound ninja’s hand shot out and grabbed the vampire by his collar, yanked him closer with a snarl.

“No big deal?” She snapped. “No big deal?!” He was taller than her and she had to look up to glare at him, not quite as intimidating a figure as she would have liked to think. “I come back from being dead and I find out you fucking killed yourself but it’s no big deal?”

Why was she freaking out? He didn't get it. "I died so my brother didn't have to. And I came back." A shrug, "So, no, it's not a big deal. I know I can't leave here ever again, but better me than my twin." He yanked back, away, not caring if his shirt was torn. "I don't understand why everyone is so upset about this."

Tayuya released him with a dissatisfied noise, unreadable emotions on her face. She’d died, before. Felt her spine snap and stared up at the sky as life had ebbed out of her. She killed for a living, killed enemies, killed whoever she felt like. But she also realized that life was precious, it was something of value, and that was why her enemies fought to hard to live and so had she.

“Because they fucking care about you, bloodsucker.” She snapped, wanting to pace, move, something, but forcing herself to stand still, unable to believe she was saying shit like this. “Because you fucking killed yourself.”

"Perhaps it was destined that I would kill myself." He looked away, almost as if contemplating something. "Even if my twin had been the sacrifice, I still would have followed him in death." Not that he really believed in destiny all that much; perhaps he'd been hanging around the other Kamui far too much.

"I'm content with this, though. Isn't that what should matter most?"

“Fuck destiny.” Tayuya spat, seized by an urge to slam him against in a wall, god, he was fucked in the head. Well, he’d never been particularly sensible, in her mind, but still. The ninja sighed, closed her eyes, and tried to breath. A heavy, sullen feel she was sure he knew now.

“… You are so weird, Kamui.” She finally sighed, the stranger thing that she dropped the nickname for once.

Whoa, she didn't call him bloodsucker for once. Weird. "Eh, saying I'm entirely fucked up works, too." He suddenly patted her on the head, jokingly. "It's okay to be honest~"

Let's see... he was in love with his twin, died for him, wanted to kill a specific man who he was insanely jealous of, was a little too attached to his other self, and was both a masochist and a sadist, when the mood struck him. Yeah. Fucked up worked.

Tayuya swatted at his hand, though her initial anger had mostly drained, leaving it more an empty dismissal. Fuck, she hated being shorter. She looked him over critically. He looked the same, well, since she last remembered.

“I’m a goddamned liar, remember?” She muttered in one last attempt to retain her fury.

"Ah~" the hand she had swatted away moved to gasp her chin, not exactly gently, but not painfully rough, either. "And such a hot one, too~" Yeah, he was a teasing asshole, but at least it was fun. He didn't get to act this way around his twin or the other Kamui. "Did you miss me~?"

“You’re a goddamned liar, too.” She smirked, not moving, conceding anything to him. “I didn’t miss shit.” It was all talk, really, and she was sure he’d know it. Tayuya… was not a very social person, she didn’t play well with others. But the few in the City she did get along with… she liked that. Liked that bit of familiarity and comfort that she’d never had in her own world, and however she’d tried to write it off, it always came back to her softening, even if only a little.

"Aww~" he pretended to pout, hand moving from her chin to her neck, thumb stroking absently and suspiciously near the jugular, "you're so cold, Tayuya~ I am truly hurt you didn't miss me at all."

Yeah, they were both teasing assholes, now weren't they? She could always put him into a playful mood, it seemed. No matter what the circumstances. It was just... how they were.

“Cold?” She laughed and brought one of her hands up to poke sharply against his cheek. “So are you.” A rather tasteless joke in reference to the persisting chill of those no longer living in the City. Realizing the position of his hand, she wonder if he’d eaten, or if he’d ask. She really didn’t care if he needed to.

“Question is, which one’s colder?” He was fun to play with, she had to admit. His attitude was pleasant enough, (when he wasn’t fucking killing himself, damn it), and he was able to soothe her ire most times instead of further infuriating her. A useful skill for someone who associated with her as more than an enemy on the battlefield.

"Hmm..." A tilt of his head, mock thinking things over. "I wonder how we can test that?" And yeah, he was rather hungry, but... not yet. He wouldn't ask for that yet. He had to monitor her first, if only to make sure she had enough energy to not be seriously injured by him feeding. She had, after all, just revived herself.

“I’d say we go get a goddamned thermometer.” Tayuya gave a short bark of laugher. “’Cept I sure as fuck don’t own one, and judging by you wandering like an idiot, I’d say your ass hasn’t been home yet, has it?” She recrossed her arms under her breasts, standing defiantly. She had been dead since coming to the City, and had always worried… people sometimes just left, dead or alive, and she’d never wanted to leave, knowing she should have no existence outside this place. And she was right. She didn’t. The North Gate couldn’t recall where she’d been or what had happened, only knew time, time had passed, and it had seemed forever until just as suddenly as that had occurred, she was opening her eyes and she was her again.

"Nope, and I don't plan to for a little bit," he said offhandedly, trying his damnedest to hide the fact that he didn't want to go home yet. To be with his brother... he knew his death would have screwed things up more, and so he wanted to have some time to prepare. He just wasn't ready to face the utter mess he surely made.

"And I wasn't wondering like an idiot," a faux insulted huff, "I was merely waiting for distraction."

“Oh, a distraction?” Tayuya batted his hand from her neck and looked about. “Maybe I should beat it so I don’t distract you from your real distraction, huh?” But she was smirking. Stupid Bloodsucker. But she made no move to leave.

Kamui smirked as well, then looked around, almost as if he was ignoring her, "Maybe?" And then she was suddenly seized, his hand on her neck again, holding her face up as he leaned in, a breath away. "Or maybe not?" Eh, they both could handle being rough. They were by nature.

He was strong enough. She wouldn’t be so playful with him if he weren’t. One hand shot out to grip his shoulder, hard, nails digging in. If he was weak from killing his own ass, well, that was his own goddamned fault. Her other hand reached up to brush aside her bright hair, baring her neck.

“Hungry, Kamui?” She asked nonchalantly, appearing unfeigned by their proximity.

The nails digging in brought him no pain, but amusement instead; as did her offering herself as food. Nice that he didn't have to ask, his smirk widening into a wicked grin. "I won't say no to a snack~" he purred as he bent down to get to her neck, placing a small lick before biting her hard, jolting her body a little to pull it closer.

"Mm~" Ugh, he really was more hungry than he though, but he could still have control. Wouldn't take too much.

Tayuya rolled her eyes, tipping her head back. There was only a wince as he bit down, similar to when she received needle injections or had blood drawn by Kabuto. Just that initial pain and then a simple feeling of having blood leave the body, which was certainly nothing remotely new to a ninja. And, she had to admit, she found it morbidly fascinating. One hand rose to idly run through his dark hair, so black against her own bright red.

“Next time you off yourself, fucking tell a bitch first, huh?” She muttered with a shudder, taking advantage of the fact that he couldn’t quite talk as of yet. “Or I’ll kick your ass halfway outta this goddamned City, ya bastard.”

He pulled away a little, lapping at the blood trickling down. "I know, I know." Another nip, higher on her neck, it just bleeding slightly before it clotted and he moved to the original bite to drink more. "I don't plan on killing myself again, though." Unless he had to again, for Subaru.

“Better not.” Tayuya shifted a little uncomfortably, having to step closer to arch her neck back. She never liked bending it far, not after her death from a snap in her spinal cord. “Or I’m serious, I’ll kill you, and it won’t be as pleasant as however you did it.”

The wound was healing, and so he pulled away entirely, licking his lips. That was enough to hold him over for a while and help him regain some strength. "Knife through the heart. Wasn't as instant as I thought it would be." A smirk, "But I'll be sure I don't have to be killed by you, since I doubt it'd be as dramatic and pretty." Morbid joke, it was.

“You’re right.” Tayuya rubbed her neck a bit, wiped a bit of blood off on her thigh, and rearranged her long hair, rustling her fingers through the coarse strands. “I kill ugly.” She smirked, and started walking off.

“You get to buy me dinner now since you’re not going home. I’m hungry, too.”

"Fine~" Kamui relented, following after her with his hands shoved in the pockets of his black leather pants. "What do you want? They'd better have good sweets, too." She got to be one of the few to know his odd food-weakness.

“I don’t give a fuck, as long as it’s food, take your pick.” She stopped suddenly, abruptly, waited for him to catch up before resuming her stride. “I haven’t eaten since-“ Tayuya paused. “… What’s the date?”

"Uhh..." he paused next to her, looking up in thought. "April... 27th? 28th? One of those." Like he paid much attention to human measurements of time, considering how slowly he aged. If he counted days, weeks, months... his life so far would seem like an eternity. He wasn't even sure he remembered his birthday anymore...

“Holy fuck.” This was followed by a string of expletives that would do most sailors proud. Tayuya resumed walking, shaking her head in consternation, gesturing wildly. “I haven’t eaten in fucking-“ She counted hurriedly under her breath. “Twenty days!”

"Damn," he blinked, "Not eating for twenty days? No fun at all." He sped up and grabbed her, starting to drag her to the first, closest resturant that came to mind. "We'll have to stuff you then, won't we? Have to get your energy up." She could take that last part however she wanted. He purposely left it open-ended.

Tayuya allowed herself to be dragged, they took turns, who led and who followed, or if they felt like fighting for it. But she caught the possible suggestion in that statement and almost smirked. If he thought she would forgive him offing himself so easily he had another thing coming. But… for now she’d play along. Had to enjoy herself her first day back from the dead, after all.

And she really was hungry.
