Summary; After not having seen each other for a while, the two friends meet and converse about.. stuff.
Log;
Sky blue duster fluttering gently behind her as she made her way to Building #1, Rinoa smiled happily at meeting Selphie again. She had been busy lately, wandering around the City in search for clues of how to get back to their world, and testing her magic time and time again. A break was definitely needed, and she was sure Angelo wouldn't mind seeing a familiar face as well. Her ever loyal companion trailed along beside her, wagging his tail as if he knew where they were headed.
“Hmm, which room was it again…” Rinoa made her way down the dimly lit hallway, glancing around at the room numbers.
Selphie was bored. Sitting around on her computer and reading was getting old. It wasn't helping her find a way out of this world either. It only made her feel more anxious.
Not to mention, she hadn't really seen anyone except that cute Reno fellow recently. She missed people. She missed the excitement of Balamb Garden and the thrill of fighting with her friends. She sighed and let her hand graze her forehead before glancing out the window.The thought of going out for a walk and finding one of her friends was enticing. The petite girl scurried across the room and slipped on her boots and made her way to the door. Selphie bounced outside and shut the door behind her, only to be greeted by a familiar face.
“Ah, there you are! I was just about to come see you, Selphie!” the brunette turned and started towards her friend as Angelo barked in recognition. “How have you been?” Rinoa hugged Selphie warmly and smiled.
"Rinny!" Selphie shrieked with surprise as she hugged her dark haired friend in return. She smiled and dragged the girl into her new room. "Look, I've got a place to stay! Do you yet?" Selphie asked with concern.
Rinoa was led into a room that already seemed to be homey and well-lived in, complete with Selphie's expected decorative touches. She giggled and shook her head, "I've been staying at the cathedral for now, but it gets cold and lonely, especially since Squall is usually out finding answers too. Your place looks really nice, I'm happy for you!"
"At the cathedral?" Selphie's mouth dropped. She shook her head and puit her hands on her hips, "You AND Squally could both stay here. It'd be no worse than the dorms in Balamb, there's room!" She motioned to the area around her, "I'd love the company, too."
"Really? Thanks so much, Selphie! If I could find him, I'd let him know! He's been hard to get a hold of..." her brown eyes gazed over a the two empty beds on the other side of the room and gave an inner sigh. "I can imagine it's been lonely here by yourself."
The brunette grinned and nodded, "Very! I love being around friends sooooo, heeey, you're welcome to stay!" She nodded and then glanced out the window, "Has Squally found anything out yet? I feel bad, I should help more. I already offered help to someone named Reno. He's very nice!" Selphie flushed a little, "I feel like I'll actually be doing some productive!"
Rinoa crossed her arms in thought and glanced up at the ceiling. "I don't think so. It's really puzzling to all of us, so if you could find out anything, that would help. Maybe ask your new friend Reno how he got here?" Angelo sighed and ran around in a few circles before deciding to curl up on the carpet by her feet, making himself at home already.
Selphie grinned and knelt down by Angelo. "Hey there boy!" She cooed, before petting him softly on the head. "I see Angelo is enjoying himself," Selphie giggled. She nodded and shrugged, "This place is weird. It hasn't even started growing on me yet! It kinda creeps me out, you know?"
The fluffy dog grunted in reply and raised his head to take part in the pleasure of Selphie's attention, thumping his stub of a tail against the floor. "He's been a good boy as usual! Excited about sniffing all these different people and places of course." Rinoa leaned her winged back against the wall and nodded firmly. "Yeah! I don't get all these strange days we've been having. Like that one day when everyone was young again.. I don't like it. Seeing Squall cry for his 'Sis' again was.. sad. He's come so far from that. Otherwise, I guess it's amusing, but I wonder what the point is."
"He cried?" Selphie whispered in pure shock. She put a hand to her mouth and frowned, "Nothing happened to me, though..." She tilted her head and tapped her cheek, "Seifer was being weird too. That was funny though."
"Well, not really cried, you know how he is!" Rinoa smirked and rolled her eyes a little. "Eh..? Nothing at all happened to you? That's strange. Seifer is always weird, but what happened with him?"
"Oh!" She giggled, "Squally crying would be really creepy. Weird. I can't picture it, nope nope." Selphie laughed again, "Seifer was acting like...odd. Saying bad words, of course. And saying "Homey" and "Dog" It was odd, I dunno." She shrugged, "Did anything happen to you?"
The whites of her eyes became a little more apparent at the mention of Seifer's antics and laughed. "I wonder if that has to do with his 'other self' that the other city residents were mentioning when we arrived!" Rinoa pulled up a nearby chair and got comfortable. She was gonna be living here anyway, right? "Ahh.. I got younger, oddly. But not much changed, I guess. Angelo became a puppy which was pretty fun, even if he was a bit reckless sometimes!"
"Puppppyyy!" The brunette squealed, kneeling down by the dog again, "so sad I missed it!" She grinned,"Weird, though. Was EVERYONE except me little?" Selphie tilted her head again.
Rinoa giggled and nodded. "It was really cute! Maybe it will happen again another day. Though, maybe it didn't happen to you because you are already quite a kid at heart? Did Irvine change too?"
"Oh, maybe," Selphie grinned at Rinoa's speculation. "I dunno about Irvy," Selphie shrugged, "I have not seen him yet, have you?" Selphie's eyes grew wide, "Heeeey, what happened to Quisty?"
Her layered hair drifted over her cheeks and forehead as she leaned forward solemnly. "We... don't know. I'm hoping she's alright, I'm getting really worried that she was left behind or.. maybe ended up somewhere else." Rinoa raised her head a little and looked to her side where Angelo lay. "We tried to find her, but there's not much of a scent to go by. Maybe.. she'll turn up soon."
Selphie frowned, "I hope Quisty is okay... and Cid... and Edea...and my trabia friends. Ooooooh..." Selphie pouted, "I'm afraid that others might be in danger."
"Mmm we've been thinking about that too. So Selphie, we need to get back!! Our absence might have already turned out for the worst in our world. We gotta go save it! It's so frustrating.. being stuck here. I can see why Squall is always gone trying to find anything for an answer." Rinoa crossed her arms gently across her knees and rested her weight on them. "What are you thinking?"
"I dunno. Maybe Ultimecia..." Selphie shook her head, "I don't really wanna think about it. Too scary. We should just worry about getting back!"
Rinoa sighed deeply and nodded. ".. I agree. But for now, I guess we should get used to staying here. Know of anything fun to do? It'd be nice to get this off our minds for a bit, hehe."
"Nope! I don't know of anything. Maybe we can ask around, or peerk around... or something!" Selphie grinned.
"Sounds like a good idea to me! How about I move my stuff in first, and then we can go explore for fun? I think I saw some shops and a cute Karaoke bar somewhere." Rinoa stood and adjusted her calico blue skirt, and motioned for Angelo to get up.
"Karaoke?" She perked up, "Oh cooooooooool!" She bounced up and down. "Lets go, lets go! Maybe we'll see Squally on the way!!"
"Yeah! Let's see if we can find him!! He really needs to loosen up a bit, hehe! Maybe we can bring Irvine with us too." Rinoa gently fingered the rings on the necklace around her neck, briefly contemplating before stepping closer to the door. "Ready to go?"
"Zelly too!" Selphie cheered, "It'll be like old times!" The girl grinned and thrust her fist into the air, "Booyaka!" She nodded and headed towards the door.
