Log;

Among the foliage just outside of the forest sprawled across the snow covered ground, laid one bruised and unconscious Kagura Sohma. One would never know exactly how much pain and suffering she had been through just by looking at her. While she did look accosted and victimized. The needle marks on her arms from where the Doc had drugged her and drew blood among other things were now covered strategically by the long sleeves of the pink dress that was placed upon her. Nor would anyone figure out just how much she had changed on the inside. Her mind no longer her own. She would be their eyes and their ears unbeknownst to her and the ones that would eventually find her.

In the blackness of her mind, a tiny voice repeatedly speaks of a memory that doesn't exist. A memory that she will parrot to anyone when ask her who took her, what happened and where has she been. Her body is cold and can feel the pain but her mind urges her to continue sleeping. Sleep in order to drown the pain away. Sleep to ensure the memory takes.
As a Hellsing, D had joined the search for the young woman when circumstances permitted. His nature, training and experience made him an excellent tracker, but without any clues to work from, he relied on chance as much as skill.

That night, something--instinct, intuition, luck--drew D to the forest. Once he was near Kagura, the trail became quite clear. Her scent and the sound of her heart and her quiet breaths led the dhampir straight to her.

D dismounted and moved to crouch beside the girl. Even as he determined if it was safe to move her, he remained prepared to defend himself and Kagura from attack.
Slowly Kagura began to stir, the pain in her body couldn't compare to the pounding in her head. Her memory still hazy..red eyes...strong jaws...a monster. Finally her eyes snapped open in a panic but her head protested the action. "Oh my head..." she whispered softly, tears beginning to form in her eyes. Instinctively her hand moved to push the hair from her face uncovering a purpled bruise from where her head had hit the wall. Without the hair to hinder her vision, D slowly came into her focus.

He looked familiar but her mind was so scrambled it was hard to place him. Kagura's eyes blinked and squinted unused to being open, the tears finally streaming down her face. "...D-Dante-san?" she asked in a low voice finally remembering a piece of the last couple of weeks. She had met him briefly over the network but never in person. She hoped she was remembering correctly but it was hard to tell with the severe pain in her head.
"Yes," he confirmed, expressionless as he watched her. His first priority was to see her to safety. Afterwards, he would ensure that her friends knew she had been found and seek a healer if she would allow it. "We shouldn't linger her, Miss Sohma," he remarked. "I will take you home, unless there is another place you wish to go."
She was pretty sure her body wouldn't cooperate with her right now but one slip from him and she would transform. So much for secrets. "I-I don't think I can move just yet, but I transform into a boar when I'm embraced or make chest contact with the opposite gender," Kagura admitted softly, not really caring about upholding the family secret.

Her head was killing her and she could barely feel her limbs. Her body just felt like a cold lead weight. She could feel her mind slipping into darkness again but she struggled to stay awake.
At this, D raised an eyebrow--his first change of expression since he had found the girl. The problem she had just informed him of was certainly unique to his experience. D knew that Kagura was having difficulty staying awake, but he locked gazes with her. "Tell me what you would like me to do, Kagura Sohma," he said.
Kagura felt strangely compelled to keep her eyes opened but she was still unsure of what to do. She couldn't really think straight or clearly. "I-I don't know..so tired..." she responded. She wanted her mother but that wasn't possible. Her mother was still back in the real world.

She tried to fight the haze but her head hurt so much. Her body wouldn't even fully obey her commands yet either. She could feel herself starting to panic again as the tears started flowing harder.
"Try to stay awake just a little longer." It would be difficult to get her on the horse comfortably considering the limitations she had presented him with, but D was certain he could manage. One arm wrapped around Kagura's shoulders, and he helped her to her feet. "You can sleep once we're on our way." The hypnotic powers he had inherited from his father reinforced his directions as he guided Kagura to the horse and lifted her into the saddle before swinging up behind.
She was vaguely aware of his helping her to her feet and guiding her to his horse but it felt as if her actions were outside herself. Like she was watching from a distance...what had happened to her? Her head hurt when she tried to think on it for too long.

Once she had settled on top of the horse, her mind thought of Isuzu before everything went black again.
D's horse maintained a smooth pace back to the building that housed Kagura's apartment, one he was vaguely familiar by virtue of his own family's lodgings being nearby. The dhampir did nothing to interfere with the unconscious girl other than make certain that she remained safely in the saddle until they reached their destination.

Once the girl was secure in her own bed, the blankets pulled up past her shoulders, D set about summoning a healer.
