Summary; Upon Kaoru's arrival in The City, Hikaru has immediately scouted him out, and gone to meet him at the Fountain. For Hikaru, it's been two WHOLE WEEKS since his saw his beloved twin, and for Kaoru, just the morning has been enough to send him doolaly.

Kaoru had decided the moment he recieved Hikaru's message that he would be there soon, that he just wasn't being quick enough about it. He'd gone the whole morning, looking high and low for Hikaru in their house, and even called around some members of the Host Club to ask if they knew about anything happening today. Of course, he'd thought that would have been pointless. He and Hikaru were twins, they told each other everything.

Reclining against the fountain's edge, Kaoru folded his arms across his chest, looking dejectedly about him. He still wasn't sure what kind of a place this was, and that ticking was beginning to aggravate him awfully so.

His patience had already worn thin. Two weeks - two whole weeks! - without Kaoru was maddening, to say the least. Now that he knew where his twin brother was, it seemed as though the sidewalks were too long and too winding. Damnit, shouldn't they have moving sidewalks in this place?! Why couldn't things be a little more convenient for them both?

He had already resorted to running down alleyways (only if they were as clean as possible) and soon he was back on a roadway. Hikaru could see the fountain now... from a distance, yes, but still. And a barely visible pouf of orange-red hair was behind it. Kaoru. Before he even knew it, he was running again, dodging so many people that he hardly even noticed them. "Kaoru!"

Kaoru had begun looking down at the floor. He wished he hadn't though. Turning his head away to look up at the shops didn't seem to work very well either. What was taking him so long? Two weeks without him, and he didn't care enough to run.

All negative thoughts were whipped away the minute he heard the faint call of his name. He spun around to face the general direction of the shout, eye lighting up instantly.

"Hikaru..." He whispered softly, moving hastily from his place round to the side of the fountain his twin was running towards. As if automatically, his arms moved forward, in an attempt to catch Hikaru.

It didn't take very long at all to get right in front of Kaoru, and instantly Hikaru moved to be inside that warm embrace he knew so well. "Kaoru..." It had been entirely too long - he could tell now that he was so close again to his brother. His chin rested on Kaoru's shoulder for a moment before he pulled back a little to look directly at him. Was he really there? No, he knew he was really there. "Kaoru, are you okay?"

The instant he felt Hikaru move into his arms, they wrapped protectively around his twin, unable to comprehend how he must have felt. Two weeks.

Kaoru tipped his head slightly whilst Hikaru was staring at him, wearing his usual smile. A small smirk rose across his lips when he was questioned.

"Fine now." He muttered, moving closer to press his lips to his brother's cheek, close to his ear. "I missed you this morning, though."

Hikaru was almost ready to tackle Kaoru down to the ground with his enthusiasm. Nah, he had to save something for the crowds later on. Although, as he noted. Kaoru was ready enough to perform before an audience. Perfomance, indeed. But he knew better - he knew Kaoru best.

He smirked a little when he felt those lips on his cheek - very close to that area that was so sensitive. "Aw, I'm sorry, Kaoru," he replied in a sympathetic croon. "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"

His arms dropped to rest loosely around Hikaru's waist, keeping his lips close to his twin's cheek. He knew the effect it had on the other, and he'd missed him so this morning. Anything was possible in his book right now.

"Mn, I rather think I need to be making things up to you..." He whispered, dragging his lips gently away from Hikaru's cheek towards his mouth.

"How did you manage?"

"Easy - I sacrificed a virgin to the Demon Lord," he joked lightly with a snicker. Really, Kyouya hadn't been too terrible as the Shadow King just yet - Hikaru had chalked that up to the absence of a few of the members of the Host Club, which easily would have made less profit. He smirked wider at the thought; Kyouya probably wasn't sleeping very well in the early morning, like he always had.

His lips weren't bare anymore - no, Kaoru had seen to that quickly. Good boy. "But now we'll have to make double the sacrificial offerings."

Kaoru couldn't help the light laughter that he breathed against his twin's lips, feeling the smirk that rose there. It was still a difficult concept to grasp though - that Hikaru had been here with the others yet without him, and he hadn't known any different until this morning.

A hand slid tighter around Hikaru's waist, pulling them flush together comfortably. "Can we manage virgin sacrifices?" He whispered, leaning his head back to look directly at Hikaru.

"Is it just the Shadow here with you?"

He had forgotten how good it felt to have Kaoru so close. He grinned when his twin took the initiative and his own arms linked comfortably around his brother's lower back. Man, that was nice. He had missed it a bit too much.

"Nah - the doofus is here, too," he replied with a chuckle. "And Haruhi and Honey-senpai, I think." If there were others here, he hadn't come across any mention of such on the network. "But that doesn't mean we still can't have some fun," he remarked as his lips brushed against Kaoru's teasingly.

Kaoru felt his insides melt when he felt arms wrap around him, as usual his initial reaction to put on some kind of show was over-ridden by his true feelings, and he sighed heavily against Hikaru's cheek.

"Ah. No... Mori... then." He said slowly, far too caught up in Hikaru if he were honest with himself. He wasn't bothered who was here with them right now. He had to make up two weeks for his twin.

"Fun," was his whispered reply, "Sounds good." He finished, lifting a hand to Hikaru's shoulder. "Here Isn't so good... the floor is filthy."

Hikaru looked about with a touch of snobbery in his face. Well, it looked a bit like a typical city - the roads were filthy, and the sidewalk was occasionally littered with unwanted trash. Not to mention the constant flooding of such common folk - they all reeked of rough soap and sweat. Unappealing, at best.

"Yeah, come on," he replied to his twin. With a softer smile than he would normally have been caught with, he took Kaoru in closer and nodded. "I'll show you back to where we are, okay?"

He caught Hikaru's disgusted look, and shared his thoughts almost identically. Kaoru was far too enthralled with Hikaru to bother taking the time to re-assess the area around him, he'd had plenty of time for that whilst he was waiting.

Light eyes flashed with a smile from the glimpse of that smile he reserved typically only for him, and he nodded in return.

"They won't mind another?" He asked sheepishly, taking on his role as the younger of the two of them. Pressing his lips against Hikaru's before letting his hand drop to brush his twin's hand.

"If they do...?" He paused a moment again to let his lips tease his twin once more. Of course, he was aware of some of the stares they were receiving from the crowds that passed them by at the moment. Really, he wasn't one to care so much about it - people were so easy.

He smiled again and gave a quick peck on Kaoru's lips. "They'll just have to deal with it."

"Hikaru, I shan't stop if you do that." He murmured, licking his lips before pulling a hand up to brush his fingertips over them, as is savouring something he rarely recieved. The crowds around them were blanked out as far as he was concerned.

"Mn. Deal they will." He gave Hikaru's hand a squeeze before letting go and stepping back, suddenly aware of how cold it was without his brother's body pressed against him.

"Let's go." At least where ever hikaru was living at the moment, they'd probably get some space to themselves. He imagined it would be up to Hikaru's high standards, too.
