Log;

Rem smiled, pointing to a taller building. "I think that's the City's library. I really want to try and get in there one day when I have the chance." so many things to see.

Milly's eyes went wide as she stared up at the buildings towering abover her head. "Wow... It must hold a lot of books to be that big!" She exclaimed, utterly amazed. Even after ten years of improved technology, she'd never seen any like this before!

The darker haired woman nodded, smiling. Yes, this was just what she needed right now. Someone sane to talk to. Too many things had been happening. "Lots from what I hear."

Lots, huh? Milly smiled softly as she pointed to another building. "Do you know what that is, Miss Rem?" The casual conversation was so nice! It was almost like having Sempai here, but with less lecturing.

Legato sat at a table outside of a cafe, waiting patiently. He scanned the faces of the people that were here. Then one in particular caught his attention; Rem had finally arrived. But there was a problem: Milly was with her. Dammit. The girl would only get in the way of what Legato intended to do.

Rem looked where Milly pointed and thought. "...I'm not sure, actually. I'll look into it." +_+ Poor Rem. So unsuspecting. But her danger sense was going off when she realized not many people were around. Still, she didn't think much of it. She just kept walking around with Milly. "Maybe I can check tomorrow?"

Milly, however, was completely oblivious to the idea of impending danger. Her stungun was hiding under her large overcoat as she smiled brightly at Rem, easily keeping her pace. "Oh, that's okay! I can ask tomorrow while I'm getting Miss Suu some pudding!"

Legato considered his options. There were many ways he could handle this, but he wanted to take his time with Remm which wasn't possible with Milly so close. No. This would have to be an ultimatum. But he couldn't help remembering how his master's warning had not stuck in her mind. The woman even had the audacity to call herself his mother after what he did. He couldn't allow that. And he would make sure nothing like it happened again. He stood and smoothed his coat.

Sudden movement caught Rem's attention out of the corner of her eye, She glanced at Legato but..didn't think much of it. She'd never seen him before or anything. So innocent... "Mm... Do you want to get anything to eat after this?" She had a rumbly in her tumbly that needed amending. What better place than the cafe that man was standing at?

"I wouldn't mind! It's been a while since I had any really good salmon sandwiches." The blond admitted, her eyes following Miss Rem's gaze towards the cafe. She nearly passed over the small group of people there with no particular interest when she caught a glimpse of white and shocking blue. Milly blinked and did a double take, only to stare at the scary, tall man standing not too far from where they were now.

What was Mister Legato doing here...? Hadn't Miss Elendira said they were on a truce? He certainly didn't look like he was planning to talk to them about the weather, or how nice the food at the cafe was. "Miss Rem, I think we should leave..." She started to say as she fumbled for her giant gun inside her coat. Maybe if she slowed him down a bit, Miss Rem could get away!

Legato couldn't help but smile in anticipation. It had been far too long since he had been able to practice. But these were not ideal circumstances. He sighed when he saw Milly clamboring for her weapon. Imbecile. She was going to make a scene. That's the last thing he needed. He held up his hands defensively. "That's quite enough of that," he said calmly. He slowly strolled over to the two, trying to seem as unimposing as possible. "Milly, would you be so kind as to leave me and Rem to discuss things?"

Rem blinked at Milly, then eyed the stranger carefully, taking a step or two back as he drew nearer. Were she in a better mindset, she'd be fully prepared to fend for herself, but at the moment, she was caught off guard. "And I can't help but wonder just how you recognize me, seeing as I don't go out much." she mused aloud, not much caring for him already.

Milly stared at the blue-haired man in front of her, hesitating when he held his hands up to seem less threatening. Would she be so kind... If these were normal circumstances, she'd agree all too quickly with a polite wave before going off to find herself something sweet to eat. But these weren't exactly normal circumstances.

She offered Mister Legato a polite smile as she pulled out her stungun, pointing it at his chest without even hesitating. "Sorry, Mister Legato, but you said yourself that I should avoid you." She said brightly, and with that, she pulled the trigger.

She shot him. That stupid little bitch actually shot him. Legato was thrown backwards into the table he had just been at. Subtlety was no longer an option. He had half a mind to strike the girl dead right there. Instead, from his prone position, he constricted the muscles in her neck. It would temporarily cut off bloodflow and she would black out. It would have to suffice.

"....!! Milly!" Yeah, Rem was definitely trying to get away now. Shooting and mental powers, what? Not really her thing, even if it was all from her own world. But when she saw Milly starting to black out, she ran to catch her so she wouldn't just fall. "....Milly, you okay?"

Milly blinked, a bit surprised that Mister Legato hadn't actually gone through the wall behind him. Maybe her aim was off...? It certainly had been a while since she'd used this thing. She prepared to launch another volley of giant x-shaped clamps at the blue-haired man across the street from her when she felt something in her neck move. Her eyes went wide as she realized something was happening to her, but before she could so much as warn Miss Rem to get away, she collapsed against Miss Rem in a heap.

Legato stood slowly. He brushed the dirt from his coat-- then stopped. He felt something off. He looked down and saw a three-inch tear. He was even more angry now. He glared at the unconscious Milly and thought of crushing her skull against the street. He saved it. There would be another time for that. Legato strode over to Milly's weapon and clamped it to the ground with his foot to keep Rem from getting it, then picked it up and tossed it away, all without breaking eye-contact with the woman. "You should have told her to go," he said, then froze the muscles in her legs. Legato doubted she would run and leave Milly behind, but it wouldn't be worth risking it, and it would be an unpleasant sensation for her anyway.

Rem had let Milly down gently to the ground, sitting on one knee as she watched Legato only get closer. She could only cringe as the gun was crushed and out of sight; her only possible weapon right there. "Not like she would've listened." Her brows furrowed, feeling something instantly wrong with her body but couldn't quite figure out what just yet.

But, seeing as he probably wouldn't let her get away, she resigned herself to stay put. "You haven't answered my question. Who are you?" she asked again, never taking her sight off him.

It was irritating how she turned this around to Legato without caring what he was going to do with her.
"My name is Legato Bluesummers. I am Knives' servant. And he has told me all about you, Rem Saverem." He hated having to tell her this again. He sent her arms behind her back as far as they could be pushed without breaking them. His hand snapped up to her throat and he dug his fingers into the flesh just under her ears.

"I could rip your lower jaw out right should I wish it," he told her. "And I would have done far worse already if this stupid girl hadn't made such a scene."

She stifled a yelp, her muscles instantly recoiling and tightening at the sudden movement. Weird.. She couldn't pull them back in place. Such frustration from her as she kept trying, until he grabbed her throat. It was only then that she stood still. Legato? Serva-.. Now she remembered. He'd said something to her over the network once before, none to pleasant either. Shit.

Legato took his eyes off of Rem for a moment to cast a glance at Milly; she was going to make things difficult for him soon enough. She would no doubt tell Vash, Livio, and Chapel all about this incident. He sighed and brought his attention back to the woman in his grasp. His fingers dug deeper into her and he pulled her closer to his face.

"He is not your son," he hissed quietly. "You have no right to speak to him as if he is an equal. I intended on killing you before this situation went sour. I did not tell him such. He does not know this is happening. But if you continue treating him like a child, or human, I will kill you."

He stared into her eyes a few moments before intensifying his grip on her briefly, then pulled away from her. However, he kept her muscles stiff.
He hoped his warning stayed with her better than Knives'. Not only that, but Milly's act had been against the agreement between Knives and Vash, and Legato was involved. He only hoped his master did not place the blame with him.

He turned and headed back home, finally releasing Rem's body.

Rem's body crumbled to the ground, her muscles aching and throbbing. Just those few minutes that her arms had been forced into a weird position, it had felt like an eternity. She couldn't even raise her arms they were so sore. How was he able to do that? It didn't matter right now; she could ask Vash later. Then that thought crossed her mind, ohgod, having to explain to Vash what happened. She realy hoped nothing like last time would happen.. It's not like she couldn't tell him. She had to get someone to help her get Milly. There was no way she could carry the girl, let alone with weak arms the way they were.

Rem could already tell this was going to be a very long night.
