Log Ongoing;
When; Sunday, June 24th
Rating; PG? Who knows, may change
Characters; Count Vladislaus Dracula
rekindled_heart, and Gabriel Van Helsing
angelusad
Summary; With Yuuji gone, a greatly upset Dracula goes wandering the City. He eventually finds Van Helsing, the irony that most roads almost always lead back to him.
Log;
Yuuji. Yuuji, Yuuji, Yuuji, Yuuji, Yuuji, Yuuji...It, very simply, was not fair. As petulant and immature as it sounds, it just was not -fair-. He lost him once--to MEMORY loss of all things, only to have him back for a few weeks...and now he's gone. Yui's gone as well. The sweet smiling child he came to love so dearly. Forever, most likely. Nothing took the name from his mind...even the rain seemed to speak it.
Vladislaus looked upwards from his high perch on a spire of the Opera House. The thunder shook the entire City, and the lightening was a thing to fear. More than one bolt had already torched the ground. The wind was cold, the water was cold...he was cold. He held out his hand to catch it. He was frozen. Hollow. Alone. Vladislaus stood, took a step off the roof and plummeted.
He thought of Yui, and how frightened she would have been by the storm, calling for her mother...for him. Crying for comfort. Perhaps it was best they were gone for this day.
Best. He glided over the forming puddles, through the streets. Luke Valentine raised an interesting point. He was out of worlds of harm now. And...he would have said something..if given the chance...
It was then, he picked up a scent. A very familiar scent, one he knew and would remember for the rest of his days, and one he despised with his entire being...
And it was in that direction he walked.

Okay. No, really.
He would have been paying attention to what was going on, but you know? Being rolled up in a gigantic ball (and it was at the point where Van Helsing honestly had to question his god damn sanity) overruled a lunar calender. Personally, had to half-wonder if that even happened or not. Just -- avoid the pink, fat...thing that made him hit the floor harder than anything that HE could remember in the present life.
This meant the same old...new found routine, come in within the next few days. It wasn't like he didn't care about the bizarre changes, only insanely used to them. It would be pointless to him to worry about it. Yes, yes, Carl had the idea of constantly pointing out that he should've been terrified, but he honestly wasn't.
And after waking up in some random spot, with various objects around, Van Helsing was making his way through misery square. A force of habit, you see. He'd hadn't waver from his guardian position, ironically.
So they were big on irony in this place, that was fine.
Still feeling the strange side effects of being stucked together with a...katamari?

Ahah.
He was right, of course. There, wandering through was the one and only Van Helsing. He stuck out like a sore thumb at times. Then again, it could just be -him-...after all, he knew Gabriel quite literally better than he knew himself. He knew how he walked, how he spoke, how he breathed--even the pattern of his hearbeats. The smell of his blood. He knew his mind inside and out, and every instinct...
Obsessive? Maybe. He was like a brother to him once...
For a time, Vladislaus just stayed and watched him. He didn't really know why he followed him, or what he wanted at the time. He didn't exactly feel like killing him right now...what would it do? They were in a place where death meant nothing. And...he thought of Yuuji again.
Whenever he was upset, he would beg Vladislaus to come to -him-. He had nothing to go to now. And here he was, staring down at his greatest enemy in the freezing rain.
And he looked -quite- out of sorts too..Vladislaus smirked. It simply must have to do with the events from yesterday...

Sauntering in his steps, he quirked an eyebrow upward, thinking to himself he didn't have any weapons to speak off, and smarting off wasn't clearly in his best option. He didn't approach, but gave the most dumbfounded look he could muster, crossing his arms with a very wry look on his face.
What. Just..what. "...Can I help you?" Was the first thing from his mind, while it held his sarcasm under his breath, he just had to rephrase that, "Don't you have a bride to fawn over...?"

"Do I make you nervous, Gabriel?" His voice was low, and biting. Not as biting as usual. Since that morning, he'd felt so...drained.
"Is there a reason why the illustrious Van Helsing is wandering unsupervised in the rain...?

Aside from the hovering in the trees. Something must have happened, and he held any sort of information that just might incriminate him in this position.
Oh, but...it was a little odd for him to be walking around, wasn't it? "I'm afraid it's none of your business, Count, as to why I'm having my little stroll."

"Of course not. But one must wonder, Gabriel, where you are most of the time...such a rambler." Vladislaus stepped onto another branch, one that curved down near Gabriel.
"Never a home in our world, hardly one here...one must wonder why." He raised his eyebrows, pacing down the branch. "Then again, not many pay -as- much attention to the things you do than I, dear Gabriel..." With a change of footing, he was on the bottom of the branch; he stopped a mere foot from him.
"Of course...you wouldn't understand that..the state you're in."
