Log: Dark opened the apartment building door quietly. The wind whirled around him as he made his way past the fallen snow and into the warm lobby of the apartment building. He had checked the roster for a “Lelouch” and found a single mention of it in the apartment registers; at this apartment building.

He checked the room number once more – he didn’t want to break in the wrong room – and set to work on the lock. It was a deadbolt; he could have easily kicked it open but Dark didn’t want to scare anyone on the inside. A few twists with a lock-pick and the door opened.

Nunnally was sitting in her wheelchair, folding a piece of paper. Although she couldn't see, she could feel the contours and lines of the paper. She wanted to make an origami swan on her own, with out help from brother. While trying to fold a wing, she heard a light click from the door. She turned her head slightly to listen better. "Suzaku-kun?"

Dark recognized the voice that called out. He opened the door wider and peered out, making sure no one else was in the room and slipped in. Closing the door quietly, he walked quietly across the floor towards the girl in the wheelchair, noticing that she never directly looked at him. Softly, as to not startle her, he whispered, "Hey."

Nunnally also recognized Dark's voice but still didn't know his name. "Ah. You are that nice person I was talking to. Are you going to take me to see your friend?"

Dark smiled, "Yeah, we're going to go visit him." He looked around carefully. "Is your brother or anyone else home?"

Nunnally nodded once, her hair moving slightly. "Mm. Brother is. You should probably ask him before you take me. I don't think he would be happy if he didn't know where I was."

"I'll leave a note," Dark said quietly. He wasn't sure if this Lelouch would simply let him break into his room and steal his sister away. "Let me get you a jacket; it's cold out." He pulled off his own coat, the stalker coat he had taken back on that curse day and placed it around her shoulders. "I never caught your name."

Nunnally felt the coat around her shoulders. She leaned forward a little so it would fall down behind the chair. It was still warm with his body heat, which was pleasant, considering how cold it was outside. "Thank you. My name is Nunnally. What's yours?"

"My name's Dark." He eyed a nearby window. "Would you like me to wheel you back to meet my friend or shall we go in style?"

She turned her chin upwards, thinking. "We should do whichever way is easiest for you. I rode in Suzaku-kun's Knightmare Frame once when he was taking me somewhere. Would "going in style" be as fun as that?"

He wasn't sure what a "Nightmare Frame" but he nodded anyway. "You'll need to get out of your wheelchair; I'll be carrying you. I'll come back a second time to pick up your wheelchair." Dark wheeled her near the window and opened it, a slight wind blowing through.

Nunnally felt the cold wind against her face and shivered a little. She wrapped the jacket around her tighter and leaned forward a little more so Dark could pick her up and carry her. "I'm ready. Did you leave the note?"

Give me a sec," he said. Dark grabbed a piece of paper and quickly wrote, 'She's safe with me, Dark.' Leaving it on the middle of the desk, he tapped Nunnally on the shoulder and leaned forward. "Put your arms around my neck. I'll lift you up."

Nunnally quickly felt around until she found his chest. She followed up it to his neck and clasped her arms around it tightly.

Dark put an arm around her back and under her legs and lifted Nunally up. He climbed through the window, the wind hitting them both with a sudden chill. "Comfy?"

"Yes, thank you." Nunnally shivered a little but worried about Dark. "We better hurry or you might get sick."

Dark laughed softly, "Thank you, Nunnally, but I'll be fine. Hold on tight." He concentrated for a second as his wings materialized and stretched out. Bending his knees, he pushed off into the sky.

Nunnally felt a bounce and then not much else. Only the wind blowing on her face, which was odd, because it was only a light breeze earlier. She wondered if Dark was flying because she couldn't hear his feet hitting the ground. If this was flying, it was wonderful.

It had been a while since he had flown with his real wings but it was refreshing. He had missed this feeling of freedom, his body following a single rhythm. "How does it feel?" Dark shouted over the now howling wind.

Nunnally still spoke with her soft voice, not wanting to yell. "It feels like we are flying. Are we?"

Despite her low tones, Dark heard her perfectly. He laughed, "Yeah, doesn't it feel great?" He began to glide upon the wind, circling almost lazily.

With the coat on and being pressed up against Dark's warm body, the cold wasn't as bad. "I think...I like it. I wish I could fly like you."

His wings beat a few last times to slow his descent and Dark landed softly upon the roof of the apartment building. He was silent for just a moment. "If you wish, you may use my wings whenever you want."

Nunnally smiled, glad to know that Dark was truly kind. "Thank you for the offer but I don't want to be a burden on you. I also don't think brother would appreciate other boys being very nice to me."

Dark's wings closed in upon them, shielding them from the wind and the snow. "You're not a burden upon anyone," he said quietly, "Besides, who says your brother has to know?"

Nunnally shook her head. She could feel the wind suddenly die as she was shielded from the harsh elements. "I can't keep a secret from brother. It would be rude of me."

"Why wouldn't your brother appreciate other guys being nice to you?" Dark wondered aloud. "Does he need a girl of his own?"

Nunnally thought for a moment. Why would brother not like it? "Brothers can be overprotective of their younger sisters. Brother and I have always been close so I think he might get a little jealous."

Dark grinned, "Yeah, he needs a girl of his own."

She shook her head again. "Brother is always with other girls too. He spends a lot of time with C.C.-san and Kallen-san."

Dark shrugged. "Ok, maybe he needs a guy."

Once again, she shook her head. "Suzaku-kun and brother are together a lot too."

Dark blinked several times. "Is your brother by any chance part of some organization that was attacked in your world?"

“There is an organization like that in our world but brother is a full time student and he takes care of me. He goes on trips sometimes but I don't think he is part of that. Why do you ask?"

"Just covering all the bases," he said, "Thought it might be something random." Dark glanced around at the whirlwind of snow. "Let's go inside and warm up, ok?"

Nunnally nodded enthusiastically, getting colder by the minute. She gripped her hands a little tighter. "That sounds like a good idea. I'm starting to get cold."

Dark walked towards the rooftop door, his wings slowly disappearing. "Mm, and you can meet my friend. He's sorta shy, but he's a good kid."
