anidealworld] & Yagami Light [

Summary; First meeting between Mikami &God Kira.
Log;
Tick-tock, tick-tock.
The ticking was ignored as Mikami closed his laptop. The words echoed in his head. God wanted to meet him. This was even better than what he had imagined. He only wanted instructions, words, a direction. Never did he imagine that he would meet up with his God.
He was a little disappointed that his God denied him the freedom to eliminate the unworthy in this place, but one does not question Him. This was not their world; therefore it would be futile to change it, though it was very tempting. But Kira’s orders are absolute.
Placing the laptop and Death Note into his briefcase, the brunette made his way towards the venue that Kira has specified. It did not take him too long to find the place with some directions and took the time spent walking to the place to arrange his thoughts. It would not do to
He looked at the exterior of the Raven and eyebrows knitted in disapproval. He was not even inside the club, and he could already smell the stale beer and cigarette smoke. But it suited their purposes just fine.
It would not look out of a place for two people to meet up and have a drink, and the music would probably be too loud for anyone to eavesdrop into their conversation.

(Sometimes he wondered, if someone were to rip his heart out, will he still be alive to see it?)
Moving easily through the mass of people and vampires, giving a polite nod and smile to the passing staff; Light's eyes scanned around for any sign of the dark-haired man. Hm, there was no sign of him. Pushing the exit door open, he stepped outside, looking around for a moment before he caught sight of Mikami. He didn't look like he approved of this very much, but it had to do.
Absently smoothing out the cuffs of his black dress-shirt, he headed over to the lawyer. "Mikami Teru?"

Everything he had planned to say disappeared at the sight of the male standing before him. The name floated above him - Yagami Light… the numbers that was suppose to indicate the time of death could not be seen, indicating that He too owned a Death Note.
His God. Finally.
A smile formed on his face as he took several quick steps towards Kira. “It is my pleasure to finally meet you face to face, … Yagami-san.” The prosecutor said, stumbling for a moment as he remembered that it was probably not the smartest of choice to tack a ‘-sama’ on a ‘friend’.
For anyone that was unfamiliar with Mikami, they would probably mistake his expression for joy at meeting up again with a close friend. But in fact, it was rather unusual for anyone to see an expression on his face. The glint on his eyes bordered on worship and it was hard to tell whether the brunette was entirely sane.

Returning the smile, Light remarked - more for the benefit of whoever may be eavesdropping; one could never be too careful, after all. "I hope the way here isn't too inconvenient. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mikami."
It was nice and simple, the playacting, and Light knew that Mikami would be shrewd enough to play along even as he gestured back at the Raven amiably, his stance relaxed. "Shall we head in for a drink, then? It's one of the most remarkable nightspots in the City."

Who would have thought such simple words would have such a large effect on him? But the meaning was not lost on him. While he was elated with His words, he managed to grasp what Kira was getting at.
“The pleasure is all mine. I am just glad that I managed to find someone that is familiar with the same Japan as I am… and not at all. The directions given were clear enough.”
Mikami gave Kira a nod and a smile. Strange, he had smiled more in this few days than his whole lifetime put together. And all of it was thanks to God, who has seen fit to share his powers with him.
“I shall take your word for it then, Yagami-san,” the dark-haired man said as followed Light into the nightclub. “I am afraid I still have some time before I am familiar with the City and it’s workings.”

Pleasantly, Light guided him further into the club, past a knot of vampires and straight towards the stairs. Walls had ears even through the pounding bass of the music, and Light didn't know if some of these vampires were affiliated with L in some way. "That's true, it makes this City seem a little less strange, doesn't it?"
A pause, then he glanced back at Mikami. "Don't worry, I'll give you more information on this City; it's something that every newcomer needs to know, after all."

They were speaking in a private room then? All the better.
“I am hoping that it would. If we are trapped here, it would only be prudent that we learn about this place as quickly as we could.” Even if he was not allowed to kill people here, Mikami wanted to know every nook and cranny in the City, especially if someone that was against them.
Righteousness will prevail. He will see to that.
“Thank you. That is very kind of you.”

The staff would all be out for the night, since tonight's business was proving to be rather brisk.
In the relative silence, Light's mask fell away as he looked back at Mikami, his voice laced with quiet command. "This City plays by entirely different games than what you were probably used to back in our world. There are people here who know of me, and who want to stop what I'm setting out to do. But first..."
He stopped in front of his door and slid a key into the knob before opening it, revealing an elegantly furnished suite of sorts. "Come in. You will be staying here for awhile."

This, this was the man… no, God that would bring about a new world order and Mikami was his chosen.
The brunette’s was so intent on his God that he did not even notice his surroundings as he entered Kira’s suite. The suite seemed too big to be able to fit in at an establishment like this. The size of the room was disproportionate to the building.
It would have puzzled most people, but the fourth Kira was not just anyone.
This was the person who believed.
He believes in righteousness, he believes in Kira, and in the Death Note where others may think of it as a myth. If God said the City is so, it is so. God is right, God is perfect.
How this place work is not the most important thing on his mind at the moment.
His God is.
“I am most honored, but would it not arouse the suspicions of anti-Kira in the City if I seem too close to you? … or unless,” the eager smile that has lit his face awhile ago turned into a sly smile. “You are keeping me close on purpose.”
