Log;

Nill; Nill jerked up, sending her chair sprawling, she didn't bother to right it up but proceeded to grab her medical kit and run out the door. Alfons was hurt and she felt like she could not waste a second. Wrath was an incredibly horrible curse...She vaguely remembered seeing people fighting petty brawls outside her window.

Hopefully Alfons would be alright...but her mind lingered on the fact that he had not responded to her. I-it wasn't...it wasn't that bad...was it?

She reached Alfons's open apartment door, her eyes widening at the trail of blood on the floor and the range of blood-soaked paper towels. Nill let herself in, stepping carefully to avoid the blood that seemed to be everywhere. Where could he be...? The girl wandered to the kitchen and found who she was looking for...except he was sprawled on the ground...

The girl rushed forward, worry stricken across her face. Alfons?! She touched his arm lightly, hoping that he'd be able to regain some form of consciousness. W-was...was that a bullet wound?! Nill was worried, incredibly so.

Alfons; Attempting to remedy this problem had been incredibly difficult. He didn't have any medical supplies for this sort of thing, and he hadn't wanted to risk going back outside. Going outside during this curse had been the very thing to get him into this predicament.

His body was sore, and bruises had formed, though the only one visible was on his jaw, and at the moment that was greatly overshadowed by his blood soaked sleeve.

He'd just been trying to get more paper towels, waiting for the curse to be over so he could go back out, but Alfons was having trouble telling time now, and he could barely process his own name by the time he felt someone touch his arm. The tough made him wince, considering that's where some other bruises were, and he tried to shift so he could look.

Oh... "Nill..." She looked so worried. With a grimace, he tried to sit up, but his hand slipped in the puddle of blood and he just fell back onto his side again, coughing.

Nill; The girl cringed as Alfons fell back down, she put a hand to his cheek, there was a bruise there too. There might have been more hidden around but first thing was first, the bullet wound was number one on her list to be taken care of. Nill pulled out a wash cloth and dampened it with a bottle of water she had brought along just in case to wash wounds.

Ugh...what happened...how could someone...someone shoot him? She bit her lip and tried to roll the blood soaked sleeve away from the bullet wound. The sleeve revealed even more bruises...She ignored them for now even though it pained her to see them. The bleeding had to be stopped, Alfons would be alright...w-wouldn't he...? The girl carefully cleaned the area around the injury with the wet wash cloth, hoping that it wouldn't hurt too much.

Alfons; The pressure against the wound made him grimace yet again, and he shut his eyes and turned his head away. At least someone was there, but really this was almost laughable. What was he afraid of? Dying?

A little late for that.

"I'm sorry...Nill... I didn't know who else to...ask... Is it...daylight out now...? I guess I should...open my curtains sometimes..." He was rambling, and obviously couldn't be expecting an answer from her. He was just talking to distract himself.

"It's good to see that you aren't...hurt..." he whispered. "I hope...everyone else is okay..."

Nill; B-But...e-even if I wasn't hurt...you are...Alfons...

She wanted to respond but couldn't...Maybe...maybe if she could just talk then she could make this easier on him. The girl had noticed his grimace and lessened the pressure she was using to clean up.

Was it daylight...? Nill realized she didn't know...she had forgotten...The angel had been too busy concentrating on the wound to notice or keep track of the time.

Soon, the wound was satisfyingly clean in Nill's opinion and pulled out the bandage roll and gauze pads to start bandaging.

Nearly done Alfons...nearly done...She smiled softly, at least he was talking...he'd be alright...Alfons would be fine...

Alfons; He opened his eyes again when he felt something begin to wrap his arm, and he tilted his head to peer up at her. The smile nearly broke his heart.

"Strange, you know...I don't remember seeing any angels when...I died..." Alfons' eyes fluttered shut, because he found that she was too bright to look at. Too pure. "But here's one...caring for me now...a selfish person like me..." His voice got softer, and his hold on consciousness became weaker. His body stopped tensing at the pain.

"...without any purpose..."

Nill; Was she really an angel...? She had always wondered if she counted as one. Artificially created through experiments on other people's whims. Did Nill really count...? Back home at the church she had observed the stone statues of angels that were mixed in with the church's architecture. Those unmoving faces that represented something indescribably blessed. Was she supposed to be one of them?

Finishing the bandages she gave Alfons a lingering touch. Don't think like that....Don't Alfons...

Alfons; With a lingering sigh, Alfons tried to open his eyes up again, but it was too much of an effort. But he didn't have to hear her to know that he was upsetting her. Who wouldn't be upset at such a stupid, pitiful sight?

So, he tried to smile, unaware in his nearly delirious state that tears were trickling out from his shut eyes. Then, another cough took hold of him, and he curled up for a moment until it calmed down.

Then, he moved just enough so that he could be closer. Someone who was too pure to be touched, but still warm. Alive. While resting his head against her lap, he did his best to keep the smile on his face, normally sturdy frame trembling as he moved his good arm to wrap around her waist, though it was a weak grip.

"Forgive me.... Just stay like this...for a little bit...?"

Nill; Nill smiled softly, at least he was trying...She nodded at his plea. If he needed it, she'd be here for him...Alfons...Alfons...everything will be alright...

Alfons; He realized that he was crying when he noticed her skirt getting damp, and was fairly horrified at the idea that he was laying there crying in front of an angel. Immediately, he moved his arm from her waist so that he could wipe at his eyes, though the effort alone took a lot out of him.

How was he supposed to shower? Change clothes? Get to his bed? Nill was being helpful, but she was too weak to help him with any of that... Not to mention, even if she did somehow had the strength, he was certain his pride had already been ground up enough.

He was aware enough to consider that sort of thing, but not worry about the words coming out of his mouth. "To lose something... You have to actually...have it first. So, I thought...I understood loss... But I really...didn't understand anything...at all... Not until too...late... I thought I had gained something...and then lost it...but...really it was never mine...to begin with, so...if that's the case, Nill..."

Alfons choked on his own words as he buried his face against her skirt. "Why does it feel...like my heart has been...ripped in two...and the other part is...missing somewhere...?"

Nill; The girl couldn't respond...She really didn't know...Nill had no idea how to respond...but seeing Alfons like this was...painful. She pet his hair, worry stricken, hoping that she could give him some comfort. Oh...if only...if only she could speak...if she had a voice...maybe she could have sung to him? If she could sing...

What was she to do? For the moment...Nill couldn't leave him...definitely not...not like this...She continued stroking his hair as she thought. At least she could help him clean up the place...?

Alfons; It really was warm. He missed being warm like that... He was worried, despite himself. Nill was safe, but what about Edward and his brother? After yesterday, were they still safe?

A voice... He thought he heard a voice. But not Nill's... She didn't have one. Confused and disoriented, he rolled over so that he was on his back, one arm resting against his chest while the other moved to rest limply at his side. It didn't hurt anymore...but... He remembered dying. He remembered that it wasn't good when the pain stopped.

Azure eyes clouded over a bit as he tried to strain to listen, staring up at her for a long moment before he could no longer keep them open. Heavy, they were so heavy...

"Edward...?" he whispered, though it was barely even a breath, as consciousness finally abandoned him.
