Log:

Divia had waited quite a while for this moment. She was far more patient then she would ever let on. The dear Doctor's cowardice mixed with his superiority complex made him the perfect target for her appetite. Quietly she sat among the shadows observing the Zeppelin and the occupants comings and goings. Getting an idea of their patterns and she found herself wholly amused.

She would have never guessed that "love" would do the dear Doctor in. His attraction to the computer hacker was amusing to say the least. Divia was so going to enjoy making him regret that attraction among other things. Oh she had big plans for the pain she was going to inflict on him. All she had to do was wait for him to come out of his hole and try to visit his lady love. This was going to be so much fun.

She had made a deal after all and she was never one to go back on her deals. Especially when they promised to bring her great fulfillment.
Doc furtively left the zeppelin and hurried through the city evening, anxiously glancing about to make sure he wasn't being followed.

He'd never expected the City to actually curse him and have it work out so pleasantly.
Divia followed the Doc from a vantage that even he would not expect. She smirked to herself as she watched him anxiously glancing around. Delicious. she thought until she was satisfied he was far enough away from the Zeppelin.

"Going somewhere Doctor?" she asked, dropping down into his path.
Doc turned on his heel without a second's hesitation and started walking rapidly back toward the zeppelin, his pace increasing with every step.

He knew he was in trouble. Knew it.

He'd be running very, very soon.
Oh no he was not quicker then her. To normal eyes her movements were so fast that an onlooker would think she disappeared and reappeared again blocking Doc's path to the zeppelin.

"Oh no, you don't. I told you that you would not be able to evade me," she said through gritted fangs. "We have a date you and I. And you will be keeping it. Dearest Harue will have to wait her turn."
Doc didn't bother with repartee. Or with begging. Not yet. He wasn't brave, not at all. He wasn't silent because he was brave. He was silent because he had observed and he knew she was far more dangerous than she looked.

His hand moved for the panic button in his pocket instead.
"Try it and I will kill now. Wait for your body to revive and then make you suffer even more," She warned menacingly already sensing what he was going to do.

Her speed allowing her to be upon him, her hand reaching out to grab hold of his collar.
Doc jerked when he felt her hand grab his collar, biting his tongue to keep his whimper silent. He knew he should stop slouching! She would never have been able to reach his collar if he stood up straight.

A single word escaped him, despite his intention to make no sound. "Don't!"
Divia could sense he was trying to keep his wits about him but that was hardly any fun. Her grip tightening on his collar as she moved to jerk him down to his knees.

"Don't what? You will beg when I am through with you," she said as her backhanded him. Her blow hard enough to send him flying backwards and hopefully hard enough to send him into a state of unconscious without doing too much damage. She didn't want to over do it before she had a chance to play with him.
Doc was fine with giving pain, but absolutely no good at all about taking it. Thus he would almost have been grateful about the fact that the last thing he knew was a flash of white light across his vision as his head hit the ground.
A malicious giggle escaped Divia's lips as she gathered up her unconscious prey and carried him toward a more private designation. While it was true she worked better with an audience, Divia did not want any of his comrades interfering.

No, she would allow no one to stop her for making good on her promise. And she did tell Walter he could watch. She did so love the Underground it had all the things she needed to mark such a special occasion.

The speed with which Divia moved allowed her to reach the Underground in record-breaking time. She dropped Doc's body on the floor of one of the places she stayed during the sunlight hours. And idly wondered if perhaps she summon Walter before awakening the Doctor.
Wonderful. Simply fantastically wonderful. Walter came as soon as he had the message from Divia. To see the Doctor on the other side of things was too good to miss.

His delight was strong enough to almost physically precede him as he hurried to find Divia and his former tormentor.
Divia could sense Walter's approach and she could certainly feel his elation. She moved to restrain the Doctor's hands. She didn't want him trying to do anything silly...like alerting his comrades.

Roughly she grabbed his face and began to take a peek around his mind. She would save the good stuff for when Walter arrived.
Doc started to move toward consciousness, signaled by a fearful whine in the back of his throat.
Walter heard the whine as he found the place Divia had chosen for the night's games.

To say that it excited the vampire didn't pay justice to the totality of his reaction.

Divia maniacally giggled as Doc began to stir. "Ah, someone is finally awake I see," she said squeezing his face as her grip tightened. "We have company."

I promised him you would suffer. Her voice spoke inside Doc's mind. She wanted him to fully understand just how much trouble he was truly in.
Oh, Doc understood and he was absolutely terrified. He squeezed his eyes closed again and thought frantically for some way to make this stop, some promise he could make, some service he could render.
Oh this was good. Divia feel his panic and this was merely the tip of the iceberg. I won't stop until I am finished with you.

She moved to pin him back against the wall roughly. Her nails digging into his skin of his face. "Let's have a look around," Divia said aloud, pressing her face close to his ear. "It's time to learn all your secret, Herr Doctor."

Divia was not gentle when she fully began going through his mind, viewing random memories, looking for the ones he was holding onto tightly.
Walter stopped in the doorway to watch, drinking in the fear in the air like the finest of wines. He'd waited quite some time for this one's terror, and while he'd always wanted to be the architect of Doc's fall, he would take this and take it happily.
Doc shook his head. He clung to everything - from his first word to the moment when he'd first seen Divia in front of him. He was a knowledge miser, taking every single piece of input and squirreling it away, finding connections others wouldn't and using them.
Divia made sure her invasion of his mind was as painful as possible as she begin plucking some of the more useless memories away. You won't be needing those they are just cluttering things up.

She feel Doc's blood wet her fingers as her nails dig deeper into the flesh of his cheeks. She idly laughed in his ear. "Any special request?" she asked Walter, while keeping her gaze fixed on Doc.
"Make him beg," Walter answered immediately, eyes focused elsewhere, seeing something other than the room. "Make him beg for you to stop and beg to be allowed to keep some semblance of himself."
Doc's eyes flicked toward the speaker and if anything, he grew paler hearing Walter's words.

He'd always been so sure that none of his subjects would ever be able to wreak vengeance without being brought to heel with a simple press of a button.

His gorge rose and bile burned the back of his throat while he fought to keep from vomiting.
"Ah you're thinking of your precious remote," Divia said aloud, while keeping her grip on Doc's face. "Hmm, it would be my pleasure to make him beg."

"By now you know I can take whatever memory I want but if you want to hold on to your intellect a tad longer you will tell me of how your remote works," Divia ordered. Her words carrying a not so settle threat of what would happen if Doc chose not to speak.
"Implants," Doc whispered hurriedly. "In the brain. Not so difficult."
Divia's expression darkened. How unsporting, controlling another's mind through 'technology'. She was really going to have to show him what good old fashion mind control could do. Roughly she pushed him down on his knees, her grip moving toward his throat. Her other hand grabbed the back his hair.

"Hmm, using science is cheating you realize. Shall I show you what can be done without the use of implants?"
A flash of unpremeditated and immediately regretted defiance from Doc. But you have to focus, whereas my work carries on without me.
Divia laughed uproariously. If he had known how many she had driven to madness without focus...without even being present during their downfall he would likely be even more scared.

"Hmm, I wonder how well your work is carrying on now? They must be missing you," she said through her laughter.

She turned toward Walter, her grip still iron tight on Doc. "They have been monitoring your implant while in the City. It seems they were planning to bring you 'to heel' at some point."
Walter's face shifted into a mask of fury and for a moment it seemed that he was going to launch himself at the man held so firmly in her grip.

Then his expression smoothed out and he stalked forward from where he had been leaning in the door frame to stand over Millennium's "genius."

"How do I get around it?" he asked the man, eyes beginning to glow softly red. "You must have some cutoff or back door or safety switch."
Doc cringed and tried to pull away, clutching at Divia's hands as though he could get her to let go.

"Nothing, there's nothing," he lied, hoping that the Major would check Walter's feed soon and come to rescue him.
Divia instinctively backhanded the Doc but not hard enough to render him unconscious. "He asked you a question. You'll answer it truthfully or you'll suffer my wrath. And trust me when I say this you have not experienced my wrath yet."

Divia hand moved to his shoulder joint and began to squeeze until her nails were digging into his clothes down to his pale flesh.
Doc whimpered again and shook his head. He was terrified, he was already in pain, and he was in the hands of two who meant him harm.

It might have frozen his thoughts entirely, but his mind was all he had.

For now.

That thought chilled him as nothing else could - not fear for his flesh, certainly not fear for his soul.

“You’re going to hurt me no matter what,” he whined.

There were no words for how he loathed this situation. None. Just a bilious wash in his mouth that he swallowed convulsively.

“I can’t reprogram it here,” he said truthfully. “I need my laboratory.”
"Hmpf, the rat speaks the truth. Which means I shall have to work more quickly but I will be thorough," Divia said to Walter before she yanked Doc upward pressed her face to his ear.

"You're right in thinking I'll hurt you no matter what but verbally giving me the answers I seek is one moment longer you have to cherish your mind. If I have to go in and find my answers. I will make sure it is the most excruciating pain that you have ever felt. The pain you feel now is nothing compared to that."

Her nails were like claws as she dug them into his throat, drawing more blood. "Where in his brain is the implant located?"
"Throughout it," Doc said as quickly as he could to give her no excuse to accuse him of holding back. "The chip spreads throughout the brain, otherwise the input and output couldn't be as thorough."
Walter grimaced at the knowledge that Millennium had such control.

"I should leave. I'll let you finish. I don't want them to find this place because of me."
"Hmm, it seems the Doctor has not shared the little fact, that they are monitoring him too. Whether you leave or not they will find this location," Divia replied, digging her nails further into Doc's throat. "But it will be too late when they do."

Roughly she pulled Doc's head back. Her eyes glinting maliciously as she fully invaded his mind. She knew exactly what he feared most and she was letting him slowly feel losing what he cherished most.

So many memories and she would enjoy painfully fragmenting each one. His experiments, his subjects, his creations would slowly vanish before his eyes.
Doc whined and pulled against her hold, tears rolling freely down his cheeks. He cared for little and would be upset about the loss of little, but she threatened his mind. The one thing that was truly irreplaceable.

"No. No. Please. Just stop! Stop. Stop!"
Walter's fingers twitched with the urge to snatch the man away from Divia and tear into him. He wasn't thinking of how much he could draw it out. He just wanted agony.

He forced himself to calm. To draw a breath he didn't need. To think.

Instead, he followed Divia's mind as closely as she would permit, both trying to learn from how she was working, and to most closely experience what she was doing to the mad scientist.
There are other forms of agony. Divia responded to Walter's thoughts. Even as she went through Doc's mind she was quite aware of what was going on through Walter's mind.

"While a slug like him will respond to physical pain, that will not leave a lasting impression on one such as him. Will it Herr Doctor?" she asked aloud, while she viciously shattered his memory of his 'brilliant' creation, the catboy Schrödinger.
"No!" Doc's plea ended in a shriek. "Please!" He was abjectly terrified and most so because he could not think of any way out of the situation. He was accustomed to his mind running on multiple levels at once, thinking about several projects, what was for dinner, how his garden was doing, what the Major would prefer, and always, always, basking in the warmth of his own genius.

And she was ripping it all away!
"I know," Walter said aloud, as there were still few he willingly accepted in his mind. He did not push Divia away, but kept that fig leaf of separation to the conversation.

"The tears are good. I just wish we had more time."
"Awww but to our dear Doctor time may as well be standing still," Divia replied laughing. "Isn't that right?" she cooed tauntingly at Doc. Her invasion of his mind still going full force, sheer darkness replacing each of the memories she destroyed.

"Oh, so that is how you got Walter's implant working again," Divia added, allowing Walter to see what she was seeing. She cared not for the little human but she knew Walter held regard for her.
Walter glowered down at Doc as he gleaned the information and the understanding of what the man had done to Kagura.

"Break him, Divia." Adding to be politic, "Please."
"With pleasure," Divia replied darkly, picking Doc up by his throat and slamming him into the wall. "It's time for you face your imprisonment, Herr Doctor."

A devilish smile crossed her face as she dove further into his mind. The darkness she infected him with would seep into his mind, snaking its way through his system. Broken thoughts, complete isolation and total darkness await you...
For the first time, Doc actually fought, clawing at Divia's hands and when that failed, trying for her face.

His thoughts were fragmenting and the world was narrowing around him, growing blacker around the edges while the only thing that remained was a terror that turned his bones to mush.
Walter watched every moment, drinking down the Doctor's terror and almost shivering with rapture. He had wanted to wreak the revenge himself, but this was almost as good.

And in the City, he would have other chances to exact vengeance.
Divia continued her assault on Doc's mind even as he futility clawed at her. She easily batted his hands away from her face while tightening her vice-like grip on his neck.

Confined with only your confusion and terror to keep you company. She had warned him that intelligence was fleeting. His greatest asset was also his greatest weakness. So easily she had invaded his mind and learned his secrets. She would leave him with only the instincts of a frightened and injured animal trapped within a void.

"I would have liked to have drawn this out for you. But at least the knowledge to free you from your former tormentors is now known," Divia said to Walter as she lowered Doc back to his knees.
Walter watched the terrified man flailing blindly against his captor and keening for a loss he couldn't even pull together enough intellect to remember. It was all over for the doctor but the shouting.

As he looked on, Doc stopped struggling and went limp, tears tracking his cheeks and doing their best to wash away the blood there.

"Next time, Divia. There will be a next time, and I will ensure that you and I have more time to pay proper attention to the Doctor's needs.
A darkly amused grin stretched across Divia's face. "Then I shall look forward to it, dearest," she replied, releasing her grip on the Doctor's neck.

"His comrades will handle the clean up. Shall we go?"
After a last disdainful glance down at the shattered man, Walter held his arm out to Divia to take as though escorting her into a ball. "With pleasure. Shall we go scare up a meal?"
"Hmm, yes lets," Divia said, while taking a hold of Walter's offered arm and allowing him to lead the way. The Doc already forgotten from her mind...at least for the time being.
