Log;

None of this made any sense. He was... a copy? Syaoran was able to get it sorted out in his head, or at least to accept the fact. So he wasn't the original Syaoran. Big deal. Somehow, though, that Syaoran was linked to his blind eye and from what Kurogane-san said, his heart. His heart disappeared and he attacked Fai-san, stealing his eye in the end. How did he overpower Fai-san anyway? Kurogane-san had said it was all due to Fei Wang Reed. Who was that man?

He just wanted to make sure it never happened again.

Syaoran wove his way through the garden. The City really was beautiful, at least this part was. He never had the time to stop and look around at everything. It helped him to calm down and sort things out. With resolve, he made his way back to the bench. Hopefully, he wasn't away too long. He didn't want to worry everyone. All he wanted was to stop them from hurting anymore.

When he returned, only Sakura sat on the bench. All troubles evaporated when he saw her by herself. He ran up to her, asking "Princess! Where did Kurogane-san and Fai-san go? Are you alone?"

The mage and the ninja had been long gone, both tired and in need of some time to lighten up. Sakura had urged the two to go on before her. She wanted to wait for Syaoran's return before she followed suit. Why did it always seem like she was waiting though? Waiting wasn't always such a bad thing, especially since this time, she was definitely alive. Green eyes watched the path diligently, eager for the sight of Syaoran's figure to appear. He had been gone for a while now and she was getting worried. It had hurt for everyone to tell Syaoran that he was a clone, but she wondered how much it hurt him. It must have hurt. But he was strong, he'd be okay. Definitely.

The sound of his voice took her by surprise and she turned to the voice. "Syaoran-kun!"

He seemed alright, if he could worry about her, then he must have been fine. See, Sakura! Nothing to worry about! Syaoran-kun is strong!

"They left awhile ago to go back to the hot springs~ Un~ I'm alone. Did you have a nice walk?"

Syaoran couldn't help but wonder what was so urgent that Fai-san and Kurogane-san would have to leave the Princess behind. Hopefully everything would be alright. Other than what they had just talked about, everything seemed to be alright... well... Fai-san wasn't looking his best, he had to admit. This would always turn out for the best in the end, right? It almost always did. Maybe they had gone to do something about Fai-san's eye.

He perked up, though, when he heard Sakura's voice. Everything about that voice seemed to fill him with warmth. He couldn't help but smile as he approached and sat down next to her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, Princess!" Then he furrowed his brow. "How long have you been here? You've been okay, right?"

Sakura smiled and nodded, "I'm fine! I haven't been waiting too long, but I'm used to waiting anyways. The garden is really pretty and the flowers are good company." She softly patted the tops of the flowers nearest the bench as a 'thank you.' Maybe she should try keeping a garden, it'd be a wonderful project and she'd love to see the plants grow and flowers blossom. She used to tend to a garden, didn't she? Back in Clow Country?

It was sweet of Syaoran to think of her, rather than himself. He was always that way and she liked him just the way he was. It didn't matter if he was a clone or the original or whatever alternate version he was. He was still Syaoran. The one she had traveled with. "I've been fine, silly, don't worry Syaoran-kun. Are you doing alright?" She touched his cheek tentatively, worry adamant on her face. Somebody had to worry about him if he didn't worry about himself.

A pang of guilt struck Syaoran's heart. He had made her wait. Even if she was used to it, he shouldn't make her wait. How could he do such a thing. It was comforting at least that Sakura was so light-hearted. It was always something he admired about her, something that he had taught her to do long ago. If only she would be able to remember that... No. That was the price he paid to save her! He would never take that back, even if it meant she wouldn't remember. He would and that would have to do.

"Me?" Syaoran looked back at Sakura, startled. "Yeah, I'm fine." Right? "I just wanted to clear my head... figure some things out."

The girl watched him carefully, lips pursed, hoping that he was not only being true to himself, but true to her as well. She had told him before, hadn't she? Back in Outo Country, was it?

"Sure...? Syaoran-kun? Because I'm here for you if you want to talk. Please don't hold anything in, it...it might hurt more. And I don't want Syaoran-kun to hurt!"

Looking guilty, Syaoran focused at his hands that were clasped in his lap. Sakura was always the one who saw through him, didn't she? Was it impossible to hide anything from her? Syaoran didn't regret it, though. Maybe he should tell her. He couldn't tell her back in the Hanshin Republic when he had wandered off. It was his burden to bear. But what happened after Lecourt... Sakura knew more about what he did. There was no point in hiding questions if she had an answer.

He took a moment, searching for the proper words. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt Sakura, and if he couldn't hide this pain, it would be inevitable.

"Sakura-chan," Syaoran looked up at the Princess, worried. "How did everyone find out about me? I mean... being a copy and all..."

Sakura smiled softly, but not the one she was known for. The smile was a bit more pained as the memory of the whole incident in Acid Tokyo replayed. She had been in a frenzy then, panicked and crying. Lots of people had gotten hurt but it had ended alright...in a way. Acid Tokyo would be fine at least. But first of all, how could she tell Syaoran? Sakura didn't want to give him an answer that led to more questions or else that wouldn't have been an answer in the first place. Well, she'd do her best to explain, and if there any more questions she could always answer them, that way she could cover everything and help clear things up as much as she could.

"There were a lot of things that happened in the next world," she focused on her hands in her lap as she tried to explain, "we found out when the other you appeared in Tokyo."

"The other?" That's right. His original. The realization of this was clear on his face as he frowned. So everyone met the original Syaoran then. Would he ever come to meet him in time? Was he the same? Sakura and the rest didn't talk about him contemptuously, so they had to like him. That was good. He relaxed a little again, the ends of his lips twitching upward.

Of course he began to wonder where the original was all this time, and what was he doing. But that wasn't what bothered him. He showed up nevertheless. That must've been why Syaoran acted strangely, or lost his heart. He had never seen two of the same people exist in the same world before. There had to be some repercussions.

Something tugged at the back of his mind though. It wasn't something that he had done or might do. Something Kurogane-san said to him...

Syaoran started very slowly and quietly. "Do you know who Fei Wang Reed is?"

Fei Wang Reed...

Sakura tilted her head, thinking carefully. Kurogane had mentioned him before, but she had never been too sure. The real Syaoran had mentioned him too...a relation.

"I'm not too sure really, someone related to Otou-sama. He was the one that kept the other Syaoran-kun sealed away...He might have had something to do with Kurogane-san's past as well. The symbol."

"What?" Syaoran looked at Sakura, startled. The symbol on the sword that killed Kurogane-san's father? The one that had sent those people to attack Clow Country?! That was all this man, Fei Wang Reed? Syaoran ran a hand through his hair, calming himself down. Fei Wang Reed was the one who had the original, sealed him away as Sakura said. Then did that mean that Syaoran came from his world?

Wait. If Fei Wang Reed was the one who attacked Clow, he was the one who scattered Sakura's feathers! It was him! All him! Should he tell Sakura? Did she already know? She would have said so if she knew.

The realization came like an avalanche over Syaoran. He leaned forward on his elbows, resting his head in his hands. It was all that symbol, Fei Wang's symbol.

"Princess..." murmured Syaoran, "Fei Wang... He must've been the one that scattered your feathers!"

Sakura stared at him wide-eyed. This person was the one that did all that? He was the cause of all of this? But one question lingered in the back of her mind.

"Why would he do such a thing?" It was a silly question, and it didn't really have an answer since Syaoran wasn't Fei Wang. But the more she thought about it, the more she wasn't surprised that he was the one that had scattered her feathers. This stranger had already done so much to hurt everyone, but why. If he was related to Clow Reed why was he like that? Jealousy? A need for something? Her feathers provided power...was he causing all this pain just to gain power? The repurcussions of Fei Wang's selfish actions were everywhere. But things could always be changed.

Never before had Syaoran wanted an answer, not just for Sakura, but for himself. Fei Wang had done so much to hurt everyone. He took the original Syaoran, killed Kurogane-san's mother, and scattered Sakura's feathers. For what purpose? Why did he need them so badly? Was it their power? Everyone who had come across a feather coveted. It all made sense. He just wished he knew more, that he could discover why they were on this journey in the first place!

Suddenly, Syaoran stood from his seat and looked back at Sakura seriously. He held out his hand to her and announced, "No matter what, Princess, I will make sure I put an end to Fei Wang. We'll find the rest of the feathers so he can't get them and make sure he doesn't hurt anyone else. On top of that, I'll protect you, Princess! Fei Wang won't cause you anymore grief! I promise!"

Smiling brightly, she nodded, "Un! And, I'll always be by your side Syaoran-kun, I promise, so Syaoran-kun won't ever be lonely or sad!" Sakura took the outstretched hand lightly, "With Syaoran-kun here, everything will be fine."

That warm feeling flooded his body now. Syaoran wasn't sure what it was. Maybe it was faith. Somehow, when Sakura said it, he knew they'd defeat Fei Wang. They would definitely put a stop to this mess and make it better again. If only Fai-san and Kurogane-san were here, maybe he could tell them too. Well, it was only a matter of time anyway. He would tell them as soon as they returned.

Carefully, Syaoran pulled Sakura to her feet and smiled. "Together!"

Sakura was taken by surprise as she was pulled onto her wobbly feet. Part of her mind went 'uh oh.'

Since Sakura's right leg was useless, being pulled onto her feet wasn't able to balance on her feet and practically fell forward. She flustered slightly, he'd know, he'd know...

It all came in a rush. Quickly, Syaoran stepped forward, catching Sakura. As gently as he could, he set her back down on the bench. He didn't even think. The only thing he knew was 'Take care of Sakura!'. When she was finally safe on the bench, he looked at her, worry evident.

"Sakura, what's wrong? Are your legs okay?"

Sakura blushed heavily and shook her head, "I-I'm fine really, Syaoran-kun! My legs aren't so great...t-that's all!"

Her face was red now and she was extremely flustered. It was her fault really, she should have told him earlier. The things about her leg, but he was troubled with all that other information earlier, she couldn't bear to give him more to worry about.

With a frown, Syaoran sat back down on the bench. Now she was doing the exact same thing he was doing earlier. Hide the pain and make it go away. But Sakura taught him something important today: hiding it doesn't help, especially if someone's there willing to help.

"Please, Sakura-chan," He pleaded, "Tell me what's wrong. I want to help."

Calming down she looked up towards him, "It's...it's really nothing I want help for. I...I can't use my right leg anymore, Syaoran-kun...I injured it in Tokyo and even though it could have been healed. I traded it with Yuuko-san." Her gaze flicked to her feet, she wasn't sure if she could handle another sad face from him.

She couldn't... use it anymore? Syaoran furrowed his brow, thinking. What would she wish for that Yuuko-san would ask for something like her right leg? Knowing Sakura, it was for something that helped the others. He truly wished he was there. Maybe he could have talked her out of it, or at least helped her pay the price!

He wouldn't ask though, not this time. Maybe Sakura would tell her what she paid for in her own time. He didn't want to upset her anymore.

"Well then," Syaoran turned to Sakura, shifting her arm so it slung over his shoulder and hefted her up. He supported her lower back and her knees, so she couldn't fall. He was surprised that she was so light. With a smile he said, "I said I'm going to help you, right? Where to now, Princess?"

Sakura smiled softly, "Thank you Syaoran-kun, let's go back to the Hot Springs? I'll make you some hot chocolate~" She was so glad to have him here. The City wasn't a kind place but she was glad that he was here with her. The princess had missed her travelling companion so much and she was glad that he understood her so well. Everything would be fine, and everyone'll be happy now...definitely. They'll all find happiness eventually.
