When; Wednesday Evening; 7 o'clock
Rating; PG
Characters; Saya Wallace
repairedbywebs and Roy Mustang
flameroy
Summary; After responding to Roy's question regarding females who have yet to experience dinner out in the City, Saya has responded and Roy of course is more than happy to oblige going out for dinner with Saya - unaware of the fact that she merely needs someone to feed off.
Log;
He hadn't been out on a Dinner date like this for a long time, and really - it was about time that all changed quite frankly. Even with the eyepatch, he knew he was damned attractive, and what had changed really? In fact, things had changed incredibly - only back to the way things had been before. Which was perfect of course. He'd get his head around this place truly in no time, and then he could begin to set balls in motion.
He wore as usual, his general uniform. Although his uniform jacket had taken up a place folded over his arm due to the heat he knew would have subsided by the time the night drew in. The fountain was where he had arranged to meet Saya. Someone he knew literally nothing about. No age, no profession, no knowledge of her allies and enemies. He planned to change that though. Sure, it was a bit of a blind attempt at aquiring himself some new informants - but it was worth the shot of course. Well, time would tell.
His arrival at the fountain was five minutes before the arranged time, and he realised suddenly. He didn't actually know what this lady looked like.

It has only been two days but she was hungry, and this man; Roy, well, there was something appealing. Hopefully his blood would be as sweet as his attempt at arranging a date was.
She stepped out into the Square and looked for a man in uniform. Colonels, in her experience, always dressed in uniform for a meal. She stopped him almost at one, smiled what she knew was a winning smile, and made her way over.

His head tipped slightly when she was close enough to detemine that indeed she was heading for him - he guessed the uniform gave him away - before speaking up.
"Saya?"

His nose did have a lovely little curve. That was worth noticing.
"Colonel Mustang," she said, the smile light in her voice. "What a pleasure."
Lie.

The sudden close proximity alerted him to the presence of perfume that he knew instantly was not the kind you bought for everyday use.
"Indeed. Do you like Thai food?" He asked, although he'd begun walking already.
no subject
"Thai?" She thought about it; about that boy in Bangkok with the softest skin and the most beautiful elbows she had ever seen. He was spicy, peppery; his elbows had been a trick to get back to the United States. She had managed.
Then there was the girl - tall, slim as a tree branch, but she fought. Adrenaline gave blood a certain sour flavor. Saya rather liked it.
"Yes, I like Thai."
no subject
"Thai it is then." Roy announced, sporting a smile that tweaked his lips only slightly. He knew the general direction of the restuarant he had in mind, and that left them an amount of time to talk.
"So, Saya. You've had the pleasure of being in The City how long?"

Four flies, three perfect webs, one destroyed, one mauled by a cat, crawlerling, crawlerling, two mosquitoes, bitter, werewolf.
She replied without pause in the conversation, "Four days. But I've already become acquainted with so many new people. How long have you been in the city, Colonel?"
no subject
"I've been living here for just over 3 months I believe. I do wonder though, if I know any of these aquaintances you've made?"
He slowed his pace ever so slightly. He needed the timing just right. She would tell him who she knew, and then they'd arrive at the Thai Restuarant.

"Let me think," she began; truth.
"Well I've met several children; Lyra Silvertongue, Ronald Weasely, Jolly Roger...of all the names...Dr. Allen...something..." her memory was lapsing with names for a moment. Not caring had that effect on her. "Dietrich, Walter Dornez...and Arthur Hellsing."
She didn't forget the most important people, however. "And Bumblebee, of course; he's quite the darling, and Light." Her smile vanished slightly. "And Richard and Anita Zeeman." She was surprised at the acid sound. It was so rare that emotion effect her so.

Her alliances would be new, and she'd still be trying to figure out just who she liked and didn't like.
"Ah. An interesting group of friends." He responded, before taking a step forward and grabbing the door. It opened toward him, and he allowed himself to guide her into the restuarant first. Immediately they were greeted by a waitress, and sat down in what he felt was probably record time.

Anita and Richard, however...dogs were all the same.
She loved Bumblebee as much as her acidic little heart could bear. It wasn't real love, not love like the actual emotion, but more like a slurry mix between infinite fascination and endless appeal. Bumblebee was a puzzle she could spend years working out.
And now Roy. She sat, carefully slinking her dress over her lap.

"So, tell me about yourself? Where are you from?"

He wanted to know about her. Sometimes prey did that.
"I'm from Namibia, originally; but I was only born there. I grew up in Los Angeles, and moved to New York after I finished school." She watched his face, and noticed he wanted more. Greedy prey. "I'm a mechanical engineer," she finished.
"Why did you join the military?" she asked, finally, toying with her glass, her long fingers jerking like her legs did, sometimes.
no subject
Mechanical Engineer however, that he was somewhat familiar with.
"I joined the army to achieve my goal." He told shortly, mostly because he'd seen the way her fingers were moving erratically. It was difficult to work this one out.
"Being a State Alchemist made that much easier."
no subject
She didn't know what a State Alchemist was - but if alchemy did anything to the blood like magic did, he would taste like battery acid. More the pity. Her interest was lost right away.
"Well Colonel," she said, and her hands spasmed slightly, "I cannot help but find it hard to believe that someone so young has achieved a rank so high."
no subject
Roy's hand came up to his eyepatch, and he pressed his fingertips lightly against it, before completely disregarding the comment and setting both his hands on the table infront of them.
"As hard as it is to believe, it was obviously possible. I suppose it could have been something to do with my ability as an alchemist."

She ordered some food and nodded her head. "I'm sure your talents are quite versatile." She toyed with her wine glass and lifted it to her lips without actually drinking anything. "What exactly is it that you do?"
