Log: Ongoing

When; Evening August 22nd
Rating; Prolly R. Violence and what not.
Characters; Ingram [profile] timediver_mk1, Rangiku [profile] 10thdiv_haineko, and Albedo [profile] theinfinite_667.
Summary; Ingram has a slight beef with Rangiku forgetting things that she shouldn't have. If she still doesn't remember, a little pain might put a spark in her memory? Of course, that is up to Albedo who is conveniently waiting.
Log;

Ingram slowly strolled through the gardens, counting the seconds passing by as if they meant something to him. While he was counting under his breath, he focused on two things. Who was coming here and who was waiting here. If Albedo could be trusted, he'd be somewhere nearby. Hopefully cloaking his presence. Rangiku, he had hoped would show up. Somewhere along the lines, she had forgot a deal she had made with him. One where she would borrow his powers in a fight against arrancar. But, if he remembered correctly, a few fights passed by and there was no calling on him. He wanted his message to get out and if Rangiku wouldn't do it, he'd do it to her.

He stopped and took a deep breath, trusting that the shinigami knew how to track down someone.

Albedo, white cape conveniently removed, stood high in one of the trees with his old makeshift wings furled tight and his dark flight suit hiding him among the leaves and their shadows. He watched Ingram pass below, a patch of blue hair drifting among the plants. His violet eyes narrowed, and a twisted smile crossed his face; he couldn't help flashing a hunter's smile to himself as he gripped the tree through his gloves. His sheathed nails dragged along the tree bark, leaving little marks even through the cloth.

You promised me blood, Ingram...

It wasn't long before a slim figure robed in black flickered into sight, a slip of paper visibly clutched in her fingers. In silence, she fell into step behind him, her gaze even and calm, even though her hand never strayed far from Haineko's hilt.

She followed him for a few steps before a quiet, "what did you want," sounded through the space between them.

Oh, so that was the target. A nice-looking weapon, definitely, but no match for regeneration. Albedo crouched lower on the branch, only his eyes visible behind the boughs, but they were so shadowed that they didn't even show. Ingram was talking too much. Far too much. He should have just stepped aside form the start and let Albedo work.

He gathered a faint glow in one hand, concealing it in his fist, letting the energy worm between his fingers and run through him arm in a hot rush. Adrenaline flooded his mind; his legs tensed, ready to spring. Were he an animal, he would be drooling over his prey...his eyes tracked her, imagining red scars across that little neck, streams of blood across the face...so weirdly beautiful, and they taste like hot iron...

"It's no deal if the other party doesn't remember it. I might remember a lot of things, but nothing about a deal between us." There was somethin about the man now facing her that made her skin crawl, but she wasn't in the business of showing fear.

"I do believe our 'business' is done. Now if you'll excuse me."

With the innate grace most shinigami have, she turned and started to walk away.

There!

He uncoiled -- all energy unleashed itself. In a screaming blur, he leaped high from the branch, white wings swinging wide, hands glowing eerie bluish-white. One fist lurched out, cracking the air, heading straight for the shinigami's ribs, leaving a searing trail in the air. Wings pouring the rippling light, he dropped like a bullet, all force behind one hand, the other following swiftly for a dual strike.

Her instincts had always served her well, and this was one of those times. Her own power pushed her feet into the invisible motion hearlding shunpyo, her form reappearing six feet from where her newly revealed adversary has just struck at. Haineko flickered in the waning light, the tip held even as she kept her gaze on both of the men as he muscles stayed tensed and ready for another burst of her own unnatrual speed.

"Is this your idea of incentive? I'm not really impressed with someone that'll attack from hiding at no provocation."

Albedo struck the ground like a comet, energy flaring out into a sphere that burned a five-foot-radius circle all around him. The grass blew back, flattened against the ground; the sphere around him blew back as he lunged at her again; this time, he flung out two whiplike white trains that lashed in the air like serpents held by their tails. If she could teleport like that, he would have to be even faster.

He rushed her with the energy flying, a shockwave that started to his sides and rushed toward a concentrated blast in the center. If he could just get close to her, she would be down and out. For now, he would fight with his telekinesis. The trains broke loose and converged, blowing down two little trees nearby, blasting several bushes down to nubs.

With a shout and another flash step away, Rangiku called Haineko's shikai, the diamond hard ash speeding along towards the oncoming targets while she kept herself hopefully far enough ahead of him to keep out of his reach. She didn't want to use her kidou on a still unknown target, but she kept her reiatsu flowing, a now visible silvery blue nimbus around her, until the opportunity showed itself.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
He hissed as he drew back, lips still pulled into an unnerving smile, the ash colliding with his energy and dissipating it in a brilliant flare. Wings wide to take up as much space as possible -- if she struck him, the psionic energy was still there -- he lifted off and hovered in the air, aiming down at her. Swinging his arms, he threw several white blasts around her, firing continuously and indiscriminately. Something had to hit her sooner or later, and damaged fighters were weaker and slower, even if for just a moment after.

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
Her eyes never stopped tracking him, following each movement as best she could while she dodged and willed the ash to the man himself instead of intercepting the blows meant for her. With a grin of her own, she saw the glitter of ash close in on him, so she murmured the incantation for the 33rd spell and with a call of "Soukatsui!", blue fire flared from her hands and up to meet the circling ash.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
With a wild scream, he thrust his own white fire-like blast at the fire. The ash, though, careened through both blasts and slashed into him, cutting through the flight suit fabric and burying itself into his skin in a flurry of red splashes. He fell back in the air, crashing to his feet, but the wounds were sealing even as he moved.

A rough laugh trailed from his lips as he watched her stare him down. "Regeneration is such a bother, isn't it?" His violet eyes glittered in the dim evening light.

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
Haineko hissed with pleasure in her mind, and the sound made her smile grow, but it was short lived. She saw that the wounds were closing up as quickly as the ash laid them to his skin. With a growl of her own, she called Haineko back into her sealed form and sprung at him, the blade high for a quick slash.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
He took the slash across his chest and lunged as well, the blade biting deeper than intended due to his own forward motion, sweet pain flooding his nerves, his body screaming in fear, his mind screaming in bloodlust. Yes, yes! Come to him...he always fought better up close like this, where he could feel every wound with his own hands, every burn across his own skin.

"I'm not afraid of your little knife..." His voice dripped out like poison, barely draining off his tongue, his predator's fury seeping out with it and curling in her ear.

His harsh hands locked around her wielding arm as he twisted his body around, hauling her toward him, one set of claws unclamping to reach for her shoulder. He had torn the arms off the little Kirschwassers before, but how much more would she scream than the Realians? Bone splintering, real bone, and flesh tearing like so much meat soaked with blood...

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Shit.... SHIT!

There was a sharp flash of pain from where his hands were locked around her arm, and a matching one flaring along her shoulder, but she shoved her own hand in his face and with another short incantation, called brilliant lightning, the crackling light point blank at his eyes.

A leg jerked up, trying to wedge itself between them to keep him from dragging her even closer.

"I've had... enough!"

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Augh!" His entire body lurched into a harsh curl as the lightning shot through him and into the ground; his chest ached for a moment as the current threw his heart harshly out of rhythm, but his regenerative powers quickly reversed the effect and kept him alive.

He had to release her shoulder, and her leg kicked them apart so that they were joined only by one of his hands; his eyes were gone entirely, cauterized shut in red, melted sheets from the lightning that had shot directly into them. The bleeding wound across his chest had already sealed up in a glow of pale violet light; now, his eyes began to shimmer. He tried to keep his remaining hand as tight as possible, but it was looser than before as his mind tried to process both the agonizing pain and the need to hold on. His nails began to work their ragged tips through the fabric and pinch her skin. As his rigid muscles uncoiled, he managed to lean forward and hiss into her ear.

"But I haven't..."

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
The hand still holding onto her came under attack as the pain centered and flared up even stronger. If she didn't get away from him, she'd be bleeding soon and that wasn't acceptable. It would slow her down enough to cause her problems and she wasn't willing to be slowed down.

Haineko sliced down at the arm still attached to hers while she started to call another kidou spell, intending to what else of his she could fry.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-08-25 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
His arm flayed into ribbons, he let it fall as he lunged at her, a harsh blue-white uppercut flaring towards her solar plexus. His eyes peeled open in a parting of melted skin, lids reforming and glowing violet irises shaping again out of the milky white mess. Pale and red streams congealed on his right arm, staining the white glove mottled scarlet. The pain from them clouded his mind; under so much adrenaline, he could barely see beyond the white flares at the edge of his vision. In the center was Rangiku, clear and sharp; elsewhere, malformed irrelevance.

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
The oncoming rush hit her dead on, sending her breath and her concentration scattering to the winds. The power of the interrupted spell flared for a moment then disappated as Rangiku scrambled back, trying to catch her breath before another attack could follow.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-08-29 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes! Channel anger, pain, the rush of combat -- all of it! He let out a wild scream; the sphere appeared around him again as he thrust out his hand. As his voice rose, the sphere glowed brighter until it was a pale aura that nearly obscured him entirely. With the last of his breath, he flung the aura forward in a wave that ripped up the ground as it blazed over the garden floor.

He took a step back then, hunched over and tired, but his eyes still blazed, and he brought his hands together in a flaring white glow.

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-08-31 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Almost blined and still slightly winded, Rangiku called another kidou spell to her hands, flinging it at the oncoming rush of power, hoping to divert or split it enough for her to flash-step out of the area.

The spell sizzled against his power, but did little more than stall it for an instant. The moment it failed, the power rushed over her, throwing her back and down, leaving her bleeding on the ground, vision hazy.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-09-04 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
He took that moment to pause -- was she invoking some other power? No, she was knocked down. Bloody and stunned.

He shambled toward her, chest heaving, and dropped to his knees across her. Legs on either side of her ribs, he wrapped one hand in her hair and pulled her head up. The second hand rested against her neck, eerily gentle. Ragged nails traced along her skin; his head was so close to hers that she could hear his harsh breaths in her ear.

"Give up, mouse?" He twirled a lock of her hair around and around his little finger; his lips twisted up into a cruel smile. "You're almost pretty when you fight me, but all are more beautiful in death..." His tongue flicked out, like a snake's, to swipe along her earlobe's inner ridge.

Then the violet eyes jerked up, glaring out from beneath white bangs. "I don't like clean kills, Ingram." His voice clawing through the air, he scoured the battlefield through a burning gaze, searching for the Time Diver. "But if you want, I'll do it the quick way." Fingers tightened one by one against her throat.

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-09-04 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
The wet heat against her ear made her growl, but it was cut off by pressure laid to her throat. Her vision swam from the harsh hit she'd taken a moment ago, but it was slowly clearing enough to tell her that someone was looking at her.

A cold glare met his gaze as she pointedly ignored the man atop her.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-09-04 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Albedo leaned back now, sitting on her waist, eyes narrowed and angled toward Ingram.

"You want me to let her go." Not a question, but an irate statement. "Why?"

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-09-04 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Her eyes narrowed a little at his 'demands', but she still didn't have enough breath in her to comment.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-09-04 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm guessing you want me to get off. What, just let her run away?" Albedo scowled and glared back down at Rangiku.

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-09-04 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
At this, she started to struggle with as much of her strength as she could. Ingram's words flashed her back to another assault, much more personal and while the rational side of her mind told her it wouldn't happen again, her instincts railed at her to get the hell out of there.

Now.

[identity profile] theinfinite-667.livejournal.com 2007-09-04 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Albedo flailed back and forth, falling to the side and catching himself with one arm. A foot kicked him in the jaw with surprising force; he winced and spat blood that then began dripping down his chin; his jaw was already swelling up. Rotating on his rear, he braced a foot against her thigh and grabbed her kicking leg at the ankle, slowly pulling and bending the knee to its side. If she didn't manage to chop off his arm, he could break the leg, and that would definitely leave her crying for help.
