Summary; Kinon just arrived and Rossiu is coming to pick her up.
Log; With a content sigh, Rossiu shut the door of the apartment behind him and went on his way to the fountain. Just in the span of hours, his mood had gone from apathy (apathy bordering downright frustration from being unable to do anything, really) to a vague sort of happiness that he couldn’t quite place.
He would almost call it… elation; that thing that roused itself in his stomach. He convinced himself that he felt this way because at last, someone on the same wavelength as him had arrived. Everyone else… he was glad that they were here and doing alright, but they acted exactly the same way they acted back home and that was… irritating, to say in the least.
During that long, painfully slow month Rossiu had spent in this City so far, he had hoped—no, wished, almost, that Gimbley, Kinon or even Cybela would arrive to make things easier. But "easier" was just a synonym for "feeling more comfortable" because he certainly didn’t think that people (meaning Simon) had forgotten about all the fuss back home. Rossiu thought that he was being paranoid, but then again, he couldn’t blame Simon if he had chosen to stay angry at him.
Yet nothing of that mattered now. Kinon was here. Kinon, the person he trusted most. It was selfish to want her here with him only to make him feel more at ease between people he should regard as his friends—but ah, that certain thing also didn’t matter.
Especially now that he had reached the fountain, seeing Kinon stand there like it was any other day—he couldn’t feel more relieved. A month was a fairly long time, after all.
