Log; ongoing
When; A little before noon
Rating; Seems like PG? XD
Characters; Hei [[Bad username or site: contractorly / @ livejournal.com]] and November 11 [[Bad username or site: november_chill / @ livejournal.com]]
Summary; November 11 finds out he's not the only Contractor in the City.
Log;
He hadn't expected to be able to feel the sun again. In fact, he knew that he wouldn't be able to. So when he actually opened his eyes, woke up in this odd place..
..it was somewhat refreshing. A nice feeling, even. Second chances were few and far between. It wouldn't be reasonable if he wasted it.
He could definitely get used to this.
November raised a hand against the sun as he moved, seeking out a shaded bench and sitting back. It felt good to be alive again, even if he'd noticed some.. differences. The last of a heartbeat, for one. It was a little unnerving, but he found that it would be easy enough to get used to. Misaki wouldn't have to know about it, either.
Speaking of Misaki... He thought about it, taking stock in his mind. It seemed that there were only three people from their world here: Misaki, Li-kun, and himself. It was something of a relief, but he couldn't help but wonder. He'd seen a lot more people just walking the streets than he had on the journal system. Perhaps he was missing someone..?
..impossible. They'd at least have had the courtesy of introducing themselves, if indeed there was someone else he'd missed. It was just good manners.

Checking to make sure his mask was in place, he discreetly descended from his roost in a nearby tree and made way toward November. Hei approached him from behind, however hiding his blades in an attempt to show his desire not to fight, this time at least.
"November 11, isn't it?"
no subject
November leaned back against the bench, one arm propped up across the back. He couldn't be sure, but if he was right..
"It is. How may I help you?"
He would definitely have some interesting information for Misaki later.

Hei couldn't bring himself to be polite to this man, rather he felt his fingers nearly reach toward his concealed blades. Sadly, the fight would have to wait for next time.
"Tell me about the gate. What have you heard?"
no subject
It wouldn't do to admit that he was surprised. The Gate had been the last thing on November's mind. A new life was kind of distracting like that.
He shrugged, trying not to let himself turn and look the other in the eye. It was a fragile contact, and a mistake could mean that he might lose it. He should have brought a water bottle or something with him..
"Perhaps. If you tell me who you are first. It's only fair, don't you think?"
no subject
"Why did you kill her?"
no subject
"Mr. 201BK. What a surprise to see you here."
And it was. Of all the people, he certainly hadn't thought that 201BK would show up. He grinned. Misaki would be more than happy, if not a bit obsessed, to know that the one she'd been searching for for so long was here. Then again.. hm. That remained to be seen.
November knew who he was talking about. Despite all the missions he'd been sent on, he remembered most, if not all of them. But, if for nothing else than to get a rise out of him, he answered, "Who? I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific."
Perhaps he might let slip a clue as to his real identity. So cowardly, really, hiding behind a mask like that..
no subject
Wouldn't November be surprised when he realized who he truly was? Hopefully though, that would be never. His years of perfecting the perfect image of Li Shenshung had allowed him a mask even better than that of the one he wore.

"Call it a necessary precaution."
And it had been. Misaki had told him that Havoc's powers had returned, albeit after he'd killed her. Even so, if she'd been allowed to live, then there was no telling what she could have done. Best to put a stop to the problem before it even began.

"..She wanted to change," Hei's voice trailed off as he distinctly remembered how Havoc had behaved that night. She had a second chance--she could have changed, but because of November...

There was a second part to why he'd killed her, of course, but he didn't need to know that. It was, after all, why he'd made the offer to the mysterious contractor to come with him, April, and July. He wanted to know about Mr 201BK's syndicate, and their motives, and he'd made as such clear.
It was risky, but-- "I would have killed her, anyway." It was a lie, of course. If 201BK hadn't stepped in, she probably could have been delivered to PANDORA safely.
"...just kidding."

"Tell me, what's happening with the gate?"
no subject
November let out a sigh, then turned again so that his back was to 201BK. It was okay. If the other contractor tried anything, all he'd have to do was freeze the blood in his veins. He'd done it before. This time promised to be no different.
"It's going to be destroyed."
no subject
Destroy...they were trying to replicate the events of South America, the events were Pai...Amber, it was her fault, wasn't it?
"How? Does a woman named Amber have anything to do with it?"
no subject
"You're from our world. You've at least heard of Evening Primrose, right?"
He'd had his suspicions, but it was thanks to Amber's organization that he'd found anything out at all.

"Come now, you can't really expect me to know everything, can you?" It was a blatant, bald-faced lie. He knew Amber's plan and the plans that PANDORA wanted to put into action, thanks to the meeting with her and professor Schroeder. It was the reason he'd died, after all.

November looked back at 201BK, smirking. "Just what makes you so positive that I know anything at all? Your confidence in me is quite flattering, but I have to wonder just where it comes from." Havoc? What did she have to do with any of this? He didn't owe 201BK a thing, especially not for that woman.

"However, I did remember something, just now." Another lie, but they were away from PANDORA, the syndicate, MI6. It should be fine to give away a bit. "Apparently, all Contractors were going to disappear, if what happened in South America isn't repeated in Tokyo."
