Log ; ongoing [open]

When; September 26th; second day (night? lol) of the midautumn festival
Rating; ...Iiii'll say G for now. Kanda DOES have a mouth on him, though, so! 8D
Characters; Rabi ([livejournal.com profile] deviates), Allen Walker ([livejournal.com profile] antiakuma), Yuu Kanda ([livejournal.com profile] to_sublimate), YOU?!
Summary; Rabi the boys decide that going to the festival might actually be a lot of fun!
Log;

It wasn't like they would end up being there long, right? Kanda was in a bad mood (as usual), and with Allen around...well, one or the other was bound to get upset. But you couldn't blame Rabi for trying to have a little bit of relaxing fun, really. The festival was his first chance to unwind since reentering the City.

He was hellbent on having a good time, and just as bent on giving Allen and Kanda the chance to, as well. He didn't know what was going through their heads; couldn't fathom a guess, but he could bet that it was a bunch of "what ifs" and "why are there no Akuma."

All of that didn't really matter at the moment. What did was the fact that it was all too quiet between the three as they headed down to the square.

"First time I've ever been to one of these City things, yeah?" He chimed happily.

[ooc: sorry this is late. DX Backdating is fun, too, right?! :D;;;;;]

For all his good natured ways, clashing with Kanda sometimes left Allen in a bad mood. With that in mind, he was sticking fairly close to Rabi, ensuring he didn't stand too close to Kanda if he could help it. Of course, this wouldn't help much to stop voices travelling but it was a start.

Generally, Rabi was much easier to get along with; he was cheerful and Allen had found him to be a good friend through-out everything. The terrifying thought of the possibility of being here alone with Kanda sent a shiver up his spine.

Still, the festival and spending some time with Rabi had lifted his spirits some as he padded down the streets quietly. The yukata the red-head had found for him felt so strange; he wasn't used to clothes like that, but at the same time it was an experience to say the least and it was all just adding to the atmosphere.

"Me too," He replied with a smile "I didn't know this City had festivals like this. It's so different... I didn't really understand Asian celebrations before."

Kanda grumped along behind them, having reluctantly left the Firehouse to join in the festivities. He was quiet for once, the discomfort of his yukata notwithstanding.

The Japanese Exorcist didn't mind the outfit, but it made him feel strangely vulnerable, even with Mugen at his side, and he didn't like it very much. He supposed he didn't miss much of the culture that he had left behind; he had been too young then, and Kanda gave the bright lights and lanterns a fleeting glance, an expression of profound boredom on his features.

That expression of bored neutrality was probably a good thing, since Kanda wouldn't be likely to bite the head off anyone should they decide to poke him. That also meant a cessation in snide remarks directed at the beansprout, Rabi, or both. As disagreeable as he could sometimes be, Kanda knew when not to snap, and this was probably one of those times.

Well, at least this City wasn't too bad today. "Mid-Autumn, huh."
