Log; Ongoing
When; October 8th, 2007, Afternoon (After this.)
Rating; G, most likely
Characters; Ukitake Jyuushirou [
floating_bamboo] & Senna [
memoryrosary]
Summary; A tired captain goes to pick up a confused unseated shinigami, who has newly arrived to the City...
Log;
As tired as the 13th division captain had been these last few days, shunpo was not something he was going to use, even if he was rather worried about this young girl. He shouldn't push his health too far - it had a bad habit of failing him, then.
While he of course couldn't possibly know all the shinigami in Soul Society, he still thought that it was a little strange that he had not seen her before. Was she a new recruit, recently graduated? If so, she needed to be brought to safety, and quickly. The dangers of this world seemed to enjoy feasting on the defenseless people.
He had to stop and take a breather, not far from the fountain. Jyuushirou looked around, trying to see if he could spot the young woman or feel any reiatsu. He sighed slightly as he couldn't really pick up anything particular - the City had so many energies and he didn't know what he was looking for. If it had been someone he knew, it might have been easier to pick out one energy among the others, but that wasn't the case.
Starting to walk again, he came closer to the fountain, still keeping an eye out for this 'Senna without a division'.

And all had faded into nothingness. Then she had awakened here, by the fountain. It was familiar--much like her awakening by the river in the previous world. But, she had been confused. This place certainly wasn't Karakura, and yet--she'd seen so many people she'd recognized here. Ichigo was here, as well as some of those who had confronted her.
And at the moment, she was waiting for one of those who'd confronted her. It made her uneasy, but maybe he could help her find her way. Placing a hand upon the hilt of Mirokumaru, she looked around herself.

"I'm Ukitake Jyuushirou, captain of the 13th division. Are you alright?" He was still a bit concerned that Senna had hit her head somehow, and thus forgotten these basic things like captain and division. Not even up close like this, did she find a place in his memory. Who was this woman?
"Would you like to come with me? There's a temple not too far from here." Perhaps she wanted to get out from the stress of the City center and go somewhere a bit calmer. He didn't want to scare her with the news of the City, after all.

Yet, here, he had a kind face; he seemed genuinely concerned, nothing like he had before. And he had no recollection of her, of their meeting that day infront of the dilapidated temple. Tones of worry colored his voice, and he was searching for a way to aid her.
The word 'Temple' struck a chord in her memories; a vivid image of the afternoon confrontation painting itself within her mind. She took a small step backwards unwittingly as she thought over it.
What if he's just doing this to try and detain me again? What if he does remember..? But...even Ichigo doesn't remember well....no-one I've talked to has....Maybe this place drains memories? What other choice do I have..? He..could most likely help me. All of the thoughts flitted across her expression in an instant, before she closed her eyes, and sighed.
"I'll come with you there."

"Alright. It might be less stressful there then in the middle of the City." Jyuushirou smiled at her again and turned, to start walking back to the temple, expecting her to follow him.
"You don't remember your captain or your division... yare, yare... that sure is a problem." He looked back at her, brown eyes studying the short girl again. What kind of shock had she experienced to forget about all that?
"I'll make us some tea."
no subject
"Tea sounds really nice." She said, walking along behind him, the zanpakutou's scabbard bouncing at her side, nudging her leg with each step. "I'd like to learn more about this place as well."
She didn't want to return to the subject of her 'division'. She didn't remember her division, and most likely didn't have one; and even if she had, the fact remained that it did not come back to her in mind.

"Saaa... this City..." He started, sounding a bit sad as he spoke. He didn't want to upset her, but not knowing about this place could be very dangerous as well. "It's... another world. It acts like a nexus or a black hole, stealing away people from all kinds of different worlds and trap them here."
He brushed back some of his white hair behind one shoulder, giving Senna a concerned look. If the girl was already unstable, he feared for her sanity when being told a thing like this.
no subject
"....So, this place is a meeting of all worlds?" She said, finally finding her voice. "..and what do you mean by 'trap'?" This confused her a little. Was there no way to leave the world? Did it detain people indefinately, much like those that the man in front of her was with wanted to do to her?

At her next question, he shook his head softly. "We are brought here by force and we cannot leave by our own will. The City sometimes lets people go, but they seem to come back again. Sometimes without a memory of ever being here." He stopped himself and then looked back at Senna once more.
"Is this too much for you, Senna-san? I can tell you more when you've gotten some tea and time to process this..." The captain had to stop and rest for a moment again, but tried to hide his exhaustion from the young shinigami.

"When I faded from the world..The City must have taken me." These words echoed through her mind, but also audibly passed her lips, without her even acknowledging. The City also seems to take memories..

"It's not much further." The white-haired captain said, looking at her before he started to walk again, the temple gates soon within sight. Walking between the red poles of the archway, he headed towards the room he shared with Shunsui. The other captain should still be at work, but the room was still small and he had not rolled up the futon today, having spent most of the time in bed.
"I apologize for the mess." Jyuushirou warned her, giving the girl another little smile.

This is where he lives? It's beautiful here.
She faintly heard his words, and a small bubble of laughter escaped her throat, fluttering in the quiet air. He really wanted everything to be perfect and polite, didn't he? "I won't mind. Don't worry about it!"
no subject
The futon was unmade, but that was really the only thing that could possible be seen as a 'mess'. Smiling a little, he nodded to the sofa. "Please... take a seat."
The white-haired captain moved over to the kitchenette to make some tea for them. "This place has a lot of strange and violent things in it. If that was not enough, sometimes curses affect the city's inhabitants, with all kinds of things - from getting turned into children, to an outbreak of the plague..." He sighed. "Some of the curses are pleasant, but most are a bit inconvenient, if not outright dangerous..."
