Log;

After living in Tokyo for nearly a year, Hei had expected that he would find himself in a yukata eventually. He didn't expect, however, that he’d be wearing another's, no less after one of those nights better left forgotten under the fog of alcohol. Not to say it wasn’t comfortable, but a man is always more at ease in his own garments…and he didn’t want to risk sharing the stories that accompanied his own either.

“There was this one mission where I--”

…No, not a good conversation starter. It was best and rational that Gintoki and him just switch their clothes without a fuss, which was why he was currently knocking on the door of the Sakata & Sakamoto residence.

Gintoki hadn't particularly been expecting company, answering the door with a curious look on his face, wearing a replacement yukata (http://image.blog.livedoor.jp/auberginefleur/imgs/d/5/d5f6441f.jpg) that was similar enough to please his taste in fashion. When he saw the young Chinese man from the... other night, the corner of his lips twitched in a faint smile.

"Ah, ...Hei, was it? ...Er... You uh... Wanna come in? I could make some tea or somethin... Not the best though. Maybe a drink?"

The silver-haired samurai looked back into the apartment, lip curling at the visible mess in the living room-- was it necessary for men to live like that? He was a fairly tidy person when it came down to it, but honestly.

"Not a bad time at all. But er..."

Well, he did appreciate getting his clothes back...

"Lemme grab yours real quick... I already washed them, hope ya don't mind.."

And he disappeared for a moment inside the bedroom, then returned a moment later, hastily-folded black clothes in hand.

"I don't s'pose you're busy? It's prolly odd but.."

No, not probably, it WAS.

"Lemme repay you?

"Nah, we were all pretty toasted, and that curse made it even worse. I dunno if I did anything, so I'm gonna apologize anyways."

He thought for a moment, and held the clothes out to Hei.

"So uh... Wanna go hit the bar or somethin'? My treat."

"Good to hear; my roommate's been a bit weird lately anyways, so it'll be nice to get out. Er..."

He looked down at the funky yukata he had on, then to his freshly-returned favorite, and gave a sheepish grin. "But lemme change real quick. You can come in for a second if you want... er, but excuse the mess."

Gintoki retreated into the bedroom once more, pulling at the ties around his waist to exchange the spare outer garment for his regular one, not taking more than a couple minutes before he was back out, the warmer white yukata over his black pants and t-shirt.

But to be honest, it irked him a bit too-- that he couldn't remember much of that night. And waking up half-naked on top of a pile of random men in the same state of undress and only remembering being extremely happy and perhaps hugging some of them...

Mmmm.. It didn't sit right. But it was a chance to make a new friend, anyways, right? And maybe Hei could remember something that he couldn't. Between a few of them, they should be able to piece together what happened, and it was most definitely worth looking into.
