Log: ongoing
When; March 18, 10am.
Rating; PG for now.
Characters; Kotobuki Ran, Near, OPEN (please join!~)
Summary; Ran takes Near out to buy some toys. Be warned that Near-mun's English sucks badly.
Log;
It wasn't the first time Near had left his room, but never before he had been accompanied by anyone, nor had he explored the city as much as he was ready to do today. By exploring the city, he actually meant going to the toy store and back home, but it was still a risk that made him quite uncomfortable.
As for why he had asked the loud girl to come with him, she had seen the previous Near's face, therefore hiding from her would be pointless. L hadn't reported any kind of trouble the previous Near had with her, so he could only conclude that Ran was trustworthy to an extent.
9:50am, Near left his building and headed to the third one, wearing shoes for once.

She smiled at Near and walked over to him when she saw him." Puppies and kitties don't get along.” She grinned. “I remembered this time.” Her hands showed the hard time she had with the curse from the other day.

"Thank you for coming with me," he said, twirling his hair slightly nervously. No emotion was appreciated in his tone, though.

"I have been all right," he replied politely, following the girl, since he had no idea where the toy store was. Casual conversation had never been his forte, Near had to admit that he'd never found himself in a situation that required him to make an effort at socializing. However, Near had no agents or friends in this city-- Ran was the only support he had found, it wouldn't be wise to make her unhappy.
"...How are you doing?"

"Why do you want to be a police officer?"

"So you still kept your memories of this city even after you had returned to your world..."
no subject
"Yeah, but I wish I had forgotten."
no subject
No, actually, Near didn't care. He was creating more conversation for the sake of it, but his brain was busy assessing other more important matters. Remembering everything was important for his plan, he'd been actually lucky to appear in this city against his will.

She skipped a little ahead and opened a door to a shop, it's the toy store.
"here we are~!"

Walking into the shop, his eyes opened slightly wider, looking around for legos, robot toys, or anything that caught his interest. The store seemed to have the same kind of toys he'd seen back in the real world. It was interesting that this city was pretty much like the universe he came from, while other people had been brought from worlds that were completely different. Why had the deities chosen his world and age?

It was scary how well this girl knew Near. He couldn't help but wonder what else, how much she knew.
"Thank you very much," he said, choosing the largest white puzzle he could find. "I see that the previous Near informed you well."

"Interesting," he said, holding the huge puzzle box with both hands, before he added "where are the robots?"

Spotting the robots, Near approached them for better view, taking a moment to decide which ones he wanted. Two robots were chosen, blue and red, so that one of them could represent justice while the other one was evil. Childish simple games the boy enjoyed.
Holding the robots and the puzzle against his chest with both arms, Near turned to look at the girl. "I am done."

When they got to the counter she smiled at the clerk, who smiled back and said hello to her by name. "Oh! Do you have money, Near?"
no subject
"Yes." Placing his beloved toys on the counter with some effort, Near reached out for his pocket and retrieved a small purse. He had been doing small jobs through internet and had procured himself a back account.

"If anyone saw us and they asked you who you were having lunch with, what would you tell them?"

"Just give them a fake name, like Coil."
