log: ongoing
When; March 18th, night
Rating; PG-13ish for Lina and Zel's mouth
Characters; Lina Inverse (
dragonslaving), Guy Cecil (
amazing_guy), Zelgadiss Greywords (
rahtilting), and possibly anyone else who wants to join?
Summary; The three of them decide to venture Underground to find a bar to hang around out of boredom.
Log;
Ahhh, bars. Drinking at an early age wasn't that much of a big deal in her world - heck, she's been drinking ever since she started traveling. It was always pretty common. Just as common as it was for her to get in bar fights with random guys, beat them, and possibly get kicked out in all her drunken, incoherent glory.
And to be honest, she was just bored and wanted to do something social. Zel was a good conversationalist sometimes, but he was boring and he always seemed as blue as he looked anyway.
Lina and Zelgadiss both arrived at the entrance to the Underground simultaneously since they, you know, room together; awaiting for Guy's arrival. To keep herself occupied, she messed with the portable little machine-computer-thingy, playing games.
"I wonder if we can take these back to our world," Lina piped up, fascinated by the shiny lights and intriguing structure of Tetris.

He didn't drink very often but if Gourry wasn't around, someone had to make sure Lina didn't cause too much trouble, and after the week he'd been having maybe he could use a drink.
"If not, we could try to recreate it... and then you'd most likely try to make a profit from it."

His boots lightly smacked the street as his lungs pumped, pushing him closer to his destination. Spotting the two he was meeting, he slid to stop and stood up straight with a smile.
"Hey!"

Keep dreaming big, Lina. Keep dreaming big.
She would have continued to ramble on what a nice, rich investment they could make off something like this when Guy had finally arrived, and she threw an arm up to wave enthusiastically with a grin. "Hey! About time! Ready to go, guys~?"

"Lina, have you ever been here before? That is.. do you know what we should expect from this place?"
no subject
"Yeah, I'm ready. I heard there were some odd monsters down there so if you see anything, let me know."
no subject
Oh, wait. She realized something - did Zel and Guy ever get introduced?
"Oh, yeah, before we go our damn merry way..." Lina began, pulling out a crumbled up paper from the yellow band wrapped around her chest. "Zel, this is Guy. Guy, Zel. Zel's an old friend of mine. He's pretty harmless for the most part. Just cranky."
no subject
"You might have a point." Zelgadiss couldn't help but smirk underneath his mask. He wasn't normally one for causing chaos but if a drink wouldn't work out his frustration, fighting some monsters might.. In any case, it was good to gather information for their future job.

"It's nice to meet you Zel. The way Lina describes you makes you sound like a really good friend of mine. I hope you don't let me down!"

She unfolded the crumbled up paper that she took out and wrinkled her nose in concentration, facing a direction. "Okay! I've got a map - we can go to this club?" she tapped her finger against a spot on the map. "Club Automatica? There's another one we can go to, but it's supposedly filled with big nasties. We might end up getting into a bar fight without even getting the drinks if we go there."
no subject
"You almost sound like you still want to get into a bar fight."
no subject
"I think I'd prefer to cause less of a commotion. Being around big nasties doesn't sound appealing, if you know what I mean."
no subject
Okay, then, it was decided!
"To Club Automatica!" Pause. "Zel, I need a lighting spell. Get to it. It's dark and I can barely see my own freakin' hands."
Lina? Demanding? Nah. She just expected a lot.
