Log;
As it slowly drew on into the afternoon, theere was much bustling behind the doors of apartment number twelve in Building five.
Trying to sort the almost mountainous piles of paper was quite a challenge, but the girl had done her best to make it as organized as she could. After all, she didn't want her partner thinking she was leaving all the hard work to her.
On that thought, Risa made sure things were was enough room on the table for both Chidori and herself to have a little light lunch before they went down to the shop again to check things out. It was hard to believe two seventeen year old girls could get so much done, but regardless, it would be enjoyable working together despite the hard work.
Suddenly, there was sharp knock on the door, causing Risa to turn around and dash towards the door.Shoot, she really should have taken more time to clean the place up a little more beforehand, but oh well. Nothing could be done about it now, it was reasonably presentable.
She was in such a rush that a photo that had been lying on top of the counter went unnoticed as it fluttered to the floor, while the girl opened the door to see who was waiting outside.

no subject
It had been a bit harder to leave the apartment today than two days ago, especially when Sousuke had felt that guilty. But what was she supposed to do? Stay in the apartment until the elections were over?
Food in hand, she knocked on Risa's apartment to be greeted by the tall girl, albeit looking a little disgruntled.
"Hey."
Was at work all day, sorry for lateness! <3
"Hi, come on in." she smiled warmly, closing the door once Chidori was inside, and guiding her down the hall into the small comfortable sitting room.
The table in the middle of the floor thankfully had been large enough to space out the papers and business print outs, while still having space for two place settings to eat at.
"Sorry it if it's kinda messy, I was trying to sort out the stuff I wanted you to look over." she mumbled, scratching the back of her head sheepishly.
That's all right~
This might take all day. Ah, they can manage it.
She smiled at the taller girl, "That's fine. Where do we start?"
I'll be on for a little while longer, then go to bed. Curse European time difference! >_<
Ok~Curse time zones altogether! >.<
Before she returned her head to the table, she noticed a photo on top of the counter. Curious, she picked it up.
Ah...so this was who she was talking about. Chidori tried to stiffle her laughter, they did look like a comedy duo.
It so sucks, I was also feel I miss out on so much just cause I'm a few hours ahead in time. T_T
Strange, nearly a month in the city and this was the first time she had had someone come into her home. Still, it was good start to something, at least she hopes so.
Smiling, the taller girl picked up the tray and walked back into the living room.
It was only when she looked up did she notice Chidori snickering slightly at something she was holding. What was...
Risa face immediately paled, please no...
*pat*pat* I know T_T
Thankies for your support.*glomp* Probably my last post tonight. ^^
Unforutunately, Risa was never known for her subtlty.
"How the hell did that get in here?!" she flailed, cheeks reddening.
She wanted nothing more than to dash over and snatch the embarassing photo away from Chidori, but remembered she was balancing a tray with both hands at the last second. Luckily she barely kept her balance, and didn't drop anything.
"Um, can we just...put that away and get on with work?" she stuttered, still rather nervous, trying to calm down slightly in hope they could drop the subject rather quickly.
Night night~*glomps back*
My god, Chidori was enjoying this, even if somewhere she knew what Risa was feeling.
"But weren't we preparing lunch, first?" she asked, waving the photo, "You two look pretty good together, though."
*giggle* So much fun is this. XD
"Nonono, nothing there, nothing between us!! I mean look how short he is, I told you he was a midget! We look like a joke standing next to each other!!" she exasperated, waving her arms about wildly.
And it was true, their heights were a rather strong separating factor, but in a way, had brought them together as well. Still, it didn't stop them from being called All Hanshin-Kyojin.
"To think he celebrated when he managed to grow a sixteenth of an inch over a whole school year." Risa sighed, thinking back. Really, what had she been thinking when she fell for that idiot?
LOL
"Well, he's a midget after all. He should be grateful that he's not a total stump," she said, "How did you two meet?"
So Risa liked someone. Somehow, Chidori was a sucker for hearing such love stories.
Again, damn time constraints for my absense! >.<
It was true, all that optimism Otani had for growing, aspiring to live beyond his limitations, that valour, that's what she...
Ringing her hands together, she looks down at her lap, thinking back.
"It was just when high school started. We were immediately coined as Hanshin-Kyojin, made class representatives, both tried to argue at the same time. He called me an amazon, I called him a midget...and the rest is history." she concluded.
That was how it started at least. She wasn't sure how much she should say about how it changed later on.
>.<
No. None at all.
She was looking at Risa's face while she was narrating. Wistful. It made Chidori despise her loveless life even more. But she still wanted to hear more of it, at least let her believe in a love story, "And then?"
Beware Severe Teenage Embarassment factors! ;)
The confession that he laughed off, the rejection, the kiss that was only de to to a damn grain of rice?
"Ah, nothing really! Maybe I kinda realised he wasn't a complete jerk, and that we liked a lot of similar stuff, but..." she flailed, hoping to steer things away from the unpleasant direction things were heading in.
Don't give up on me.
That's what he had said, on that curse day when he appeared, and she was still clinging on...
"Love hurts...a lot."
Hormones! Get away from me! Nooooooo!
Love.
Chidori was envious of Risa because of that.
Why couldn't that happen to her? Yeah, she felt the hurt-- Was she in love? Was she? She didn't know. She couldn't tell.
It was then that she noticed the silence that was building up. Awkward. And like a moth to a flame, Chidori asked for more, "I think it would help a lot if you talk about it..."
"If you want to, anyway."
Infecting you with the drama and angst! Chidori envies THIS?! O_O
But maybe now, having a new friend, she could...
"Just my bad luck I guess, falling for a complete idiot." she murmered, though still loud enough for Chidori to hear. "He was always so aware when I felt bad and would tell me to stop being stupid in letting it get me down. And yet..."
She paused, thinking back, the fireworks lighting up the sky, gathering all her courage, and then the huge let down that followed. Biting her lip, she looked up at Chidori, her features torn between crying and laughing.
"He somehow in his tiny brain took a confession of love as some sort of joke, like it was just something I would do to embarass him." she spoke, choking up slightly, eyes watering though no tears spilled.
Sssshhh, Chidori thinks she's loveless.
Idiot. You told Risa this would be good for her. Stick with it.
Risa was looking at her. She told her what she knew, "Boys are idiotic like that."
She had to look strong. It was her doing, anyway, "Maybe he was scared."
Aww, poor thing! *huggles her*
"I know, he's just too thickheaded for words. I can't tell you how many times it took before he finally clued in." she replied, smiling slightly. It still hurt, but now, it was kinda funny. Just showed how dense Otani could be.
Still...scared? Ha! It would have been so much easier that way. But even so, her midget was too upfront, so she knew clearly that his reasoning for rejecting her was nothing to do with being scared.
"No, he told me himself that he just didn't feel anything when he was with me. He had fun with me as a comedy partner, but couldn't see me as a girlfriend." she explained, looking at the picture of the table.
Yes, those times, that fun, that was all that had ever had been between them. Unfortunately she was unable to go back to that time once she fell for Otani, she just couldn't let go.
"I tried to give him up, but no...I thought if I worked hard enough, eventually..."
Whether it was stubborness or hope, she was still unsure, but the tall girl had tried her best. However, the she knew when her breaking point had came, and how hard she was knocked back by it, before her arrival in the City.
"Until the rice incident."
