log; ongoing
When; Sunday afternoon
Rating; G? PG? No clue :D
Characters; Esther Blanchett [
lefeufollet]; Tohno Shiki [
concept_killer]
Summary; Shiki's been 'sick' for a while, and Esther finally gets an opportunity to help him as best she can.
Log;
Far from being the conventional nun, Esther would have been the first to admit that she wasn't very familiar with the idea of nursing, of tending on the weak and ill. It was why, for instance, she'd just spent ten minutes rushing around her apartment, wringing her hands and trying to figure out what exactly it was that she should've been bringing to Shiki-- what did one really bring to an anemic patient, after all? Presumably, he had medication. Food? Were there things which Shiki liked to eat? Were there things which perhaps he was allergic to? She'd forgotten to ask.
After agonizing, she'd decided on bringing a couple of small cakes which had been baked earlier in the day, thanks to Miss Kyrie, some fruit, and a few movies that she'd managed to procure on DVD, in case Shiki needed some form of entertainment. Tres, still a puppy despite having grown as of late, followed Esther closely around the apartment, little feet pattering on the ground, and as an afterthought Esther decided to bring him too-- he'd always managed to cheer up those she knew, those around her, and perhaps Shiki would enjoy Tres' presence as well.
By the time she'd arrived at the apartment, it was already a good half an hour since she'd left the note to let Shiki know that she was coming, and her face was flushed from having scurried around so much. She knocked smartly on his door, hoping that she didn't look too frazzled, as Tres began to scratch lightly at the door, whining lightly.
