Log; Ongoing
When; Monday, June 23, after this.
Rating; PG-13
Characters; Akechi Mitsuhide [
silk_in_ebony] and Akechi Megumi [
foxy_physician]
Summary; Mitsuhide keeps his promise to Megumi and comes home to her.
Log;
Mitsuhide’s returned! He’s finally come back!
Megumi was running, medicine cabinet in hand, the sound of her geta marking her trail as she ran through the streets of the City. There was no time to stop, no time to rest. Her husband was back, and oh, how she wanted and needed to see him! He was back—back from Honnoji, and back from Yamazaki, where he had fulfilled his destiny and his role in history.
Mitsuhide was a noble man, a samurai and a general of honor, and he would not allow tyranny and oppression. She knew how much pain it caused him to know that his lord was cruel and unjust, and she knew how he felt before he faced Nobunaga. She loved him for his beliefs, though she knew that standing up for them was not easy, and doing so had earned him the title of “traitor” in the eyes of some. But she loved him for all of him—his bravery, his kindness, his goodness, his gentleness—everything.
And now, he was a hero.
However, even heroes were not impervious to hardship and to injury, and most of all, her beloved Mitsuhide was her husband—the man that she loved, and wanted to take care of, and to be with, together, always.
There was no time to waste. She needed to see him so much. A week of being parted from him was unbearable, though now all that was mattered to her was him—that he was safe, hale, whole, and now, once again with her. With his wife.
Her footsteps led her to the beach, where she knew he was waiting.
Heaving a deep breath, she kept running, knowing that soon—soon—they would be reunited once again.
