log; in progress

When; Saturday, July 19th, evening
Rating; PG-13
Characters; Clow Reed ([livejournal.com profile] i_themagician) and Rorschach ([livejournal.com profile] not_walter)
Summary; Angry over Blitza's murder, Clow tries his own hand at vigilanteism.
Log;

He wore no mask, confident that he had little to fear and no one to hide from as he sat on the doorstep of one of the more vocal and self-righteous vigilantes in the City. Clow was calm on the exterior, his casual demeanor missing only the bottle of sake that was his accessory the last time he paid someone such a visit. He leaned against the door, counting the ticks of the clock to his quarry's projected arrival.

Tick.

Tock.

There was no mask on the other man, either. Rorschach was not on the prowl... it was Walter Kovacs, quiet anonymous doomsayer doing his daily work. A sign propped over his shoulder declared the 'End is Nigh'.

He was not entirely unsuspecting, however.

He froze, ready to swing the sign as a weapon if needed.

"You have me at a disadvantage." The voice was monotone, cold.

"Come where?" is the question asked. He rolled up onto the balls of his feet. He'd run, soon. He just needed to make a distraction.

"Killed. Not murder."

Rorschach knew what Clow was doing. He took one swing with the sign, going for the legs. Just to hinder him, to make his escape easier. Whether or not it connected, he was running. Fast and far.

Rorschach himself turned a corner right as the device was thrown, hurtling himself down the steps haphazardly. His legs would hurt for days, but he wasn't going to let himself be caught.

Rorschach didn't stop running, even if he stumbled a bit from the pain.

He didn't waste his breath on a comeback. He'd have to cover his tracks. Set up somewhere else. Come back later, get his face back.
